I remember as I watched Chase grow up, thinking that he was the one most like House. Even when they were pushing the Foreman-Mugabe angle, I knew deep down Chase would be the one to succeed him. Though it could also be said that he & Foreman both succeeded him in their own way.

I love the way Cuddy always softens when she sees visible symptoms of House's disability, and I love the way House exploits the heck out of that at every opportunity
Because it's in part her fault that House is in that condition.

It reminds me of this thing I saw where there was a doctor with dwarfism. They let her have one of those mobility scooter things that she could drive around the corridors and park at the nurses station when she arrived at work.

This episode was intense. Yeah there’s fun toys but the serial killer eating some of his victims is just crazy.

Show gets weird towards the end
It kind of was., but it was too absurd to take seriously. This is so cartoonish. After he breaks up with Cuddy, he has a total downward spiral and wastes his money on a bunch of crap. He checks into a hotel and hires expensive hookers. Season 7 is mostly him self destructing in the most cartoonish way possible.
I wasn't a fan of the season.

Ah, an extremely highly paid and specialized genius doctor, able to buy many expensive toys on a whim (things like the small helicopter are cheap now, but were probably really expensive back when this episode aired). It's interesting to see famous actors play characters that are richer than the overwhelming majority of the population, but are still poorer than the actors themselves probably are.
He’s self destructing. It highly implied that he took massive credit loans to buy all that stuff. The love of his life just dumped him, destroying his psyche that he painfully rebuilt at the beginning of season six.
It eventually lands him in jail.

That wasn't negative reinforcement. Technically, it was positive punishment. Positive = adding something (the shot) and punishment = to stop a bad behavior (bad diagnosis). Negative reinforcement would be taking keeping him in a sauna and only taking him out if he got the right answer.

I was looking for someone to point this out... didn't stick right with me that a *medical* show got a term wrong, but I guess it's easier to understand that way for the average watcher.
House is just a little kid and I love it
Taub is surprised House 'is bringing them to work now', but in a previous episode (Private Lives, season 5 I think) Chase had already addressed that behaviour.

Monster trucks cost upwards of $300,000 and are wildly illegal to drive on the street. House would have been pulled over before being able to travel a city block.

If anyone is curious or studying behavior analysis, shooting Taub isn't "negative reinforcement" as House said, but "positive punishment"
The reason is because "negative" doesn't mean bad, means subtraction of stimuli from the enviroment. Since the presence of a bullet on the enviroment as consequence of Taub's wrong input is the addition of stimuli, it is "positive", not "negative".
Also it is not reinforcement, but punishment. Reason is: reinforcement would mean the consequence presented (shooting) maintains the behavior (wrong input) happening. As you can see the opposite is happening in the scene, the addition of stimuli doesnt make the behavior more likely to happen again.
