always cracks me up when Eric says it's a "feel good game". I can't help thinking "Not for the other guy!" 😉

Whoa, Erich played really badly in the opening and used a lot of time. He's relying on his premove skills in the endgame, mostly.

I wonder if there is a Rosen record for most moves played in One Second ?
I am 1900ish and Eric would likely win with his One Second to my 3 minutes.

l berserk just means that you start the game with half the amount of time as your opponent, and in exchange for having less time, if you win its worth one extra tournament point

It’s amazing how he can so often find a way to win or draw in completely lost positions. You have to be playing your best from start to finish to beat Eric Rosen.

Ive enjoyed erics chess until i realized that hes really weak and rarely creative. Instead hes v well booked up and has a decent pattern recognition, but thats it. Little strategic thinking, weak endgame technique, often overlooks opponents best move (playing what jerry calls hope chess). and these wins on time against 1900s are just pathetic. dont recommend to anyone looking fir enterntainment, needless to say progress.
Hes personality is his best trait and probably the only reason why hes a successful streamer.

He is playing with half the time and he is an IM you are probably not. If he started tryharding he would win more often he is playing for fun a lot as you can tell by him playing dubious openings

    • @LiamBell50
      @LiamBell50 8 місяців тому +5

"rarely creative"... someone built a website called Rosen score that tracks unique checkmates and positions inspired by Eric. He plays aggressive and dubious chess for fun, not because it's the best strategy, although it often is for him to win these tournaments.
I hope you're good at chess as your personality seems to be lacking, don't need your recommendation here.

You're commenting on a streamer's channel that he is not entertaining, while he has tens of thousands of subscribers. You can argue you don't find him entertaining, but objectively your statement is... odd. On top of that, you state he is weak, while he is an IM. Is he weaker than a GM, for sure. Weaker than some IMs? Sure. Stronger than the bulk of chess players? 100%. So could the bulk of chess players perhaps be able to make progress in their chess by watching him play? On top of this, why would you even post this? What's your point?

Have i been disrespectful? Did i throw shit at anyone? So whats the problem with writing a critical comment? What tribal consciousness stands behind these responses.
And to answer your point, watch carlsens streams at chessbrah and youll see that its not the title of the person that makes the content valuable and educational.
      Also,
      >creative chess
      >london 60% of games lol
      Also,
Rosen score is a funny site with bs like connect 4 that has almost none chess related scientific value (one exception being the stalemate traps) but nice try lol
      Also,
To peeps saying hes hes playing berserk and dumb openings for fun, just watch stuff like hes match with finegold when hes tryharding af andgetting a winning position out of the opening nearly every game (bc hes preparation is exceptional as ive said) having 10mins for game and then screwing up every game royally lol
Poor chess all the way, just memes

It all depends on who you're comparing him to. I don't think you're being helpful with your feedback so I'm not sure what your goal is?
