In most climates, yes. Fire extinguishers are rated for -40F to +120F for prolonged storage. Some climate can get the inside of a car above 120F.
If your climate cooks a car above 120F regularly, I'd suggest window tint and those reflective window/dashboard shields to prevent the sun from getting past the windows.
