If I may make a suggestion - when traveling around the nether there may be times when you need to lower yourself a long distance. I take weeping vines and a stack of bonemeal. Make an overhang, place the vines and bonemeal until they grow down to the ground. Then you can climb down and up reasonably safe.
Awesome. And easier than stacks of sand or gravel
If you take the warped vines too, you can go up the same way

Knowing the rules for structure generation helps. There will be at most one structure in any 30 chunk by 30 chunk region (on bedrock). The corners of the regions are divisible by 480 so 0,-.0 is a “corner”). To the degree that you can cut these squares along diagonals you can greatly increase your chance of finding the structure in that region

I used to be team mending bow, but no longer. Infinity bows are much better, especially in early game when arrows a hard to come by. You never have to worry if you have enough arrows to take down a bunch of mobs. They last a long time and you can repair them three times with a normal bow if it has enchants you want to keep. I have a world I’ve playing for well over 1 year. I think I’m on my third infinity bow. I’m enjoying the new series. I’m gonna have to try a steampunk build.
Same for me. I use bows a lot and don’t like keeping track of how many arrows I have left or wasting inventory space on more than a stack of them. 🙂
I recommend to get netherite gear first so if you died in lava or near lava you can save your gear and not quit the world or get all the gear back
I liked the cut scenes and third person cam account footage added in. It gave the video a little something extra.
The warped vine (I don't know if that is the English name) can help to survive falling from great heights in the nether, since water bucket is not an option there.
Also the 3rd person is an amazing addition to the videos! I didn't know about having full protection 4 helped against wither effect. Thanks a lot for yet another fun and informative video!

You can bring boats with you and trap the brutes in the boats. Or you can burn them with lava provided you have a fairly low derp factor
I did like the distant camera view I think on your big build episodes it would be a great extra view for us.
A suggestion I got from silent whisperer, is to stop blazes spawning you need to make a solid 9 x 3 x 9 diamond shape around the spawner. Blazes do not care about light level in bedrock edition so using light blocks will have no effect. Hopefully this helps.

Love the video! One thing I always like to have as security is a fire resistance potion when in the nether. Just in case I get knocked into lava
Even though I love my Infinity Bows - I would highly recommend using a Mending Bow if your Fortress is in a Soul Sand Valley since you get a lot of Skeletons (Fortress + SS Valley Spawns) and Blazes dropping 10 XP making them good for repairing the Bow and the bow will help clear out the arrows (Especially if you are a bad aim)
(This was a tip I learned the hard way once because after my 2nd Wither Skeleton Skull since I was preparing for a Wither I was starting to have Inventory issues with arrows)

Would you be able to make an updated mob farm soon? I’m struggling with every mob farm i find on youtube and especially when they’re made in creative. Seeing them made in an actual survival world makes them easier to grasp and easier to build. Thank you!

One thing I don't get is how your portals were just automatically linked. I always end up somewhere different and have to relocate my portal in the nether to link to my at base portal.

According to the wiki, 3 pieces of protection 4 plus 1 piece of fire protection 4 maxes out your fire protection, so you can't get any more by replacing any of your 3 protection 4 with a 2nd fire protection 4.
I've noticed that I can get burn with 3 protection + 1 fire protection, while having 2 fire protection fully stops me for being engulfed in flames.
Yes, you don't get more fire protection but you don't catch on fire :)
Mathematically, you're best protected with 3 times protection 4 + 1 item protection 2, any higher does nothing.
I also heard somewhere that Netherite armor counts as 1 level fire prot, so four pieces of Netherite armor with 3 prot 4 and 1 fire prot 4 should prevent you from catching on fire while also offering (almost) max protection
@@imperfectimp i'm wearing 3 Netherite armor with prot 4 and when mining for debris, I swap my elytra for gold chestplate with fire prot 4. with all that, I catch on fire when falling in lava. I may change my pants for fire prot just to prevent taching on fire.

Hey Prowl, 👍🏾 to your video. I play on Nintendo switch 1.19.22, just made Silent's frog light farm a few days ago with some modifications. Anyways, I was able to disable the magma spawner on survival without the bottom layer. Just the middle, and top 9x9 diamond using the Blackstone varieties. I'm still a bit confused why it was disabled, now I'm wondering which other spawners it works on as well. Also, I like to shoot mobs, and quickly switch to my looting 3 sword before the arrow hits them. I always wish you'd do that when I see you use your bow, so I thought I'd share that with you.
It works for the trident, I don't see why it wouldn't work for the arrows.
I did 3 froglight farm, and didn't had to fill the bottom layer. not sure why, but it worked for me too. no spawn at all the all time I construct the farms. BTW, i'm playing on PC bedrock.
Question about blaze spawners. Did the spawning rules change since light level 11 now effects mob spawning in the nether?

How do you prevent iron golems from spawning on the roof you created? I just built your unbreakable iron farm and wanted to add a building around it but worried that you stated iron golems spawn at the highest possible point…
