I love the look of waves around the animals. Really makes them stand out.

What a precious quilt for your new granddaughter! As I said before I am really not into quilting but if it were me I would cut some long strips and join those long block sections the same way. Otherwise I would never get all those corners to match. Your quilt is beautiful, thanks for showing this method!

Thanks for watching and for your lovely comment! Glad to hear that you enjoyed the video, even if quilting isn't usually your thing. Yes, cutting long strips to join the rows is exactly what I plan to do to finish the quilt - the technique is the same. I just need 10 more blocks to make before that.

OMG! Congratulations on your new granddaughter! I'm also making a baby quilt for a soon to arrive granddaughter. This will be my SEVENTH grandchild! I never in a million years thought I'd have this many grandchildren! Four boys, three girls. I'm doing the disappearing 9 patch. But I LOVE this technique and want to try it out ASAP. I need you to finish so you can show us how to join the rows!! ☺Your embroidered pieces are so adorable. What type of embroidery machine do you have. I'm looking for recommendations. Thank you so much for sharing this.

Thank you so much for your sweet congratulations! And wow, seven grandchildren - that's amazing! Your family must be filled with so much love and joy. I'm so glad you love the quilt as you go technique! yes, I'm working hard to finish the quilt and will definitely show how to join the rows as soon as it's done. I just need to make 10 more blocks.
As for my embroidery machine, I use the Brother Luminaire. It's been a fantastic investment - versatile, reliable, and perfect for all sorts of projects. Thank you again for your lovely comment and for sharing your quilting journey with me. And congratulations on your soon-to-arrive granddaughter!
