@@tomdelinger7206 He built the camper before he got the flatbed. If you watch the video, you notice he's got in in a regular truckbed before. He also uses the exterior portion of the flatbed to store outdoor stuff. it's quite funcional.
Lived the vanlife. I have spent days and days looking at campers this size and such. This guy easily has built the top 3 for sure that I have ever seen. Well done. That engine is super reliable too, you can get parts anywhere. Nice work man, livin the life and million dollar views anywhere you park.
I remember this guy a while back! Beautiful truck, awesome house. I knew something was different. Adding that flatbed was a cool idea. Good to see he's still doing his thing. Stay safe, Man. Keep enjoying life.
Only in the USA can these things happen, this crazy and wonderful design here in Europe would not be allowed by the regulations although it depends on each country. I like it so much I am fascinated by the fireplace that can be driven without turning off. Thank you for sharing.
This might be the coolest thing I've ever seen on UA-cam. This guy is a multi-talented genius. To even dream this up requires some major league brilliance.
Good morning Timmy, this is a great showing your truck house, you did a fantastic job in building it. It seems you pretty much thought of everything. If you wanted to you could slide the camper off somewhere really nice and live. You really remind me of my younger days when I came home from Vietnam, I bought a Toyota camper and traveled all around the country. After 73 years, it does my heart good to see a young man in control of his life and living a good clean life. Thanks for sharing
I have seen his videos about his truck house and I am amazed that no company is offering this type of choice in truck campers. It just makes sense to build something like this on a flatbed truck. Each of us has our own priorities, and in my case as a doctor, I have to be able to shower every day, so I need an indoor shower and toilet combo. That would require a non-freezing water system. I would give up the large wood stove for such space and get one of those tiny mighty ones in it's place. Cozy and cute place. Would love to have one of these to make house calls in the country and have my cozy home with me to live in.
Love how he is living his dream life. The truck is an amazing build - well thought out for only what makes his life comfortable and beautifully done. Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful guy, so smart he know what he want that is for sure. Being able to consider living anywhere in the world! Love the wood stove, amazing to stay in Alaska without freezing, he studied every issue
The 2 sofas are great and the windows oh! God this is a pure demo of the way to live independently! Background music is neat. Nice sens of humour with the mailbox. Bravo!
Nice to see a van life in Alaska! You gotta keep in mind the extreme temps and other variables that you wouldn't have to other places, so I love seeing it!
I did about the same thing back in the 70s but with a Dodge Tradesman van (a palace inside). Surfed And hang glided. Even w/slant 6 cilender not much power. It had a fancy living room feel. Camped a lot. I always wanted to get a teardrop trailer...more common in the 50s. Love your set up.
My dream ..Wow thats an awesome setup , and its attainable.imagine travelling all around alaska wilderness and having your comfy couch ,bed and computer right with ya.. God bless brother and safe happyntravels to you.
You've got it going on Timmy! Nice singing voice too, I had to go woohoo! Are you guys a bluegrass band? Loved the truck tour, thanks for opening your home to all of us. Take good care!
I see that you built your camper to fit a regular truck bed but then put it in a flat bed which I think gives more space because no wheel wells in the way. I was thinking of doing something similar on my 1969 F 250 camper special but to gain more space I would build a cab over for a bed over the cab = more space. Even better would be a cargo trailer converted to a camper with tandem axles for even more space, some people are doing that too.

this is one of the most cost conscious, simplistic, low maintenance, effective designs I have seen
thank you!
Homeless people do this all the time....live in their cars....
@@midnull6009 Yeah, but they don't shower.
@@civlyzed Yeah they do. They just go to places like the YMCA or public facilities. Some, not as often as others.
@@civlyzed let’s not be classist. If living in your car is cool for people with means then it should be cool for people without.

thanks billy;)
I hope ur on snowmobiles...lol
You can really tell he's had a lot of experience and built exactly what he needed, every last inch. Excellent job.
He built a slide in on a flatbed. Used every inch? Open your eyes.
@@tomdelinger7206 I said he used every last inch for what HE needed. That might be different to what you need and would do.

If Shaun @ my self reliance says it’s cool, it must be cool! Awesome work Timmy. Hopefully see you at the Truck house meet in Durango! ✌🏽

I second that!

I've seen this camper before, I was truly blown away how much he put into such a small space. Absolutely beautiful job. Safe travels

Amazing built just the necessity and no space is wasted.
I have to admit some of these have gotten old, but this video never seems to for me.
I wish you the best of life’s experiences!

If you could somehow get a pop top on your truck house then you can have a bed at the roof leaving more space at the botom for a tv or something
