I love this song (and I‘m noticing that I‘m starting quite a lot of BABYMETAL comments with this remark, regardless of the song :-) ). Definitely one of my favourites! It was released exclusively on the Japanese version of the album, and it has never been played on live shows in the West until last year‘s Brixton show, and I was one of the privileged few who were blessed with being able to witness it. When the intro started I almost went nuts, it was a fantastic moment! The guitar work in this is insane!
Syncopation is pronounced like you'd read it in english :D. "syncopassion" if you prefer. This is my favourite BABYMETAL song, such a rare gem. "Metaru nooooo Tsubasadeeeeee"
Really good song, only on the Japanese version of the album and not sure why. They came out with a new album in October and have released several performance videos from their world tour. Pa Pa Ya, Da Da Dance, Shanti Shanti Shanti, and Elevator Girl. All are quite a departure for Babymetal in different ways.
I am partial to Da Da Dance, but that could be because parts of the video were shot at the LA Forum and I was at the show, and it was as wild as a Japanese show
I know BABYMETAL has a large catalog, but it looks like you'll be through it all in record time.

@@TMacReacts Well when you're out of babymetal youtube content you can go on to link&sync and watch the best performances of every song once again lol. Compilations are like 5/10 compared to the real experience of live songs that are 10/10. You can also venture into Sakura Gakuin.

Well T-Mac, you found it, my favorite BABYMETAL song! You really did mess up the language, even though you're a native speaker! It's literally just "Syncopation" (sink-o-pay-shun), the english word! This is a fan made compilation video and the audio isn't great, but it's the best version available on UA-cam.

That seemed to be the "Anywhere in Japan other than Hiroshima" compilation.
Yui was supposed to appear at the two Hiroshima concerts in December 2017, but it was announced shortly before the first show that she would be unable to appear because of "her physical condition".
Unfortunately, she never rejoined the other members on stage, and officially left the group in October 2018.
BTW, "Syncopation" is an English word.
It means "a temporary displacement of the regular metrical accent in music, caused typically by stressing the weak beat".
Hey Rick, the way I understand it was Yui was close with Mikio Fujioka and his death was around this same time or before Hiroshima. Since his death Yui has virtually disappeared.
@RoosterIB I've never seen anything to suggest that Yui was especially closer to Mikio than to any of the other backing Kami Band members, other than some fan speculation after the fact.
I expect we would be hearing the same thing if it was Moa who left the group.
Yui missed both "Legend S - Baptism XX' concerts in Hiroshima because of her health issues.
Mikio performed at both of those concerts, his last appearance with BABYMETAL.
Legend S - Baptism XX is a real case of "the show must go on". Su and Moa without Yui looks pretty weird to begin with; Moa shines as she becomes a solo version of Black Babymetal. The intro for this show is probably my favourite so far.
@fravellist It's probably because of how well Moa did with her two unexpected solo songs at 'Legend S', that they had her perform 'GJ!' as a solo song for much of the 2018 tour.
And that version of 'IN THE NAME OF' that opened 'Legend S' could serve as a lesson in how to begin a concert and captivate an audience.

@@JGM0JGM You can actually just buy a digital file from Japanse website. Pay with credit card or paypal. Just a few dollars. You don't have to pirate...but might not be worth the effort.
Syncopation (Sin-ko-pay-shun) - I'm not sure any of this was from Hiroshima though - Tokyo Dome yes, Big Fox Festival yes and maybe one or two other concerts elsewhere. Great song, this was only available on the Japanese domestic edition of the second album. The international release got 'From Dusk Till Dawn' instead ... that was entirely different (of course) and personally I love both. FDTD has still only ever been played live one time and only fancam videos exist even though there was a camera crew filming.

Unlike their other songs, "Syncopation" is an English word, so don't blame the language barrier for this one! This is the song that only appeared on the Japanese version of the album, while "Dusk Till Dawn" only appeared on the foreign version. Dusk's not bad, but I really love Syncopation. They finally performed it once in LA, but otherwise only in Japan.

Another great Babymetal song, I don't know why they make some of their best songs like this and BxMxC Japan exclusive songs.
It is from Hiroshima and others. Hate compilations since it relies on the editor. The Hiroshima show was the best for this song. You dont know about the compilations. You will find some that has parts in a song was not played at that show.
I didn't even see any clip from Hiroshima here, but maybe I wasn't paying attention enough

Shanti, Shanti, Shanti is amazing, but I'd with go with the live performance over the official video, which to me is very disappointing. Such great choreography & with the video all you get is a bunch of colydiscop effects.

Well where Babymetal came from is Sakura Gakuin which is the School themed idol group known as cherry blossom academy
This song is heavily influenced by Japanese-style hard rock that we call it as "Visual-Kei", so the producer thought this might be too Japanese to be included in international edition of their 2nd album, METAL RESISTANCE (and the international edition contains an atmospheric electronic metal piece, From Dusk Till Dawn instead), actuall I, a Japanese, first heard this song I thought this might be bit cheesy. But now we know Syncopation is one of their best tune, especially we can see the strongest performance of SU-METAL.

I saw 3 shows on the 2019 tour and they were amazing, but I am not sure anything can beat when they had Moa AND Yui and they were both mic'd up and the Kami band right up there as a main part of the show as well.
Moa is amazing but it sounded better with 2 voices doing "scream" parts and I love all 3 avengers and they do a great job as well. The US Kamis did a great job, but having all of them back hidden behind masks with way less or no solos.....It's not bad, it's still amazing.....but it's different and maybe not *quite as good.

@StrikitRich Yui's last show was at Osaka Jo Hall on October 15th, 2017 at the BIG FOX FESTIVAL.
It looks like that was one of the many concerts in this compilation video.

The only thing wrong with it shows everywhere else they've played except Hiroshima yuimetal was not there for the Hiroshima show yuimetals last shows were the big Fox festival shows 10/17 Hiroshima was 12/17
I hope it's a good performance. I don't want them to bomb in Hiroshima.
