Another Great Review 👍 I wish you would have shown more on attaching the cross front member as I found this one of the most difficult parts of the build.. Everything is very vague and fiddley on this kit.. 👍

Thanks Pete, we didn't have any problems with that cross front member or we would have highlighted it. Thanks for watching! -Doug

I like the model, one of my favorite dragsters. Only a couple of problems, the front axle is supposed to be a dropped axle, not straight and the original car didn't have a hydromatic transmission, it only had a clutch inside a bell-housing. It's a beautiful dragster anyway.

Seeing as this kit was first manufactured and released in 1964,this kit was most likely first manufactured and released by Aurora Models;as Aurora plastic model kits still existed at the time. Then sometime in the late 1960's early 1970's,Aurora was going under i.e. they were going bankrupt,so they sold all of their molds to Revell U.S.A.Monogram was an independent plastic model kit manufacturing company;for a number of years, until they suffered the same fate as Aurora;and Monogram merged with Revell U.S.A when Revell U.S.A bought them out;and it became known as Revell/Monogram U.S.A.Then about 5 years ago,Revell U.S.A was going under,so in order to not suffer the same fate as Aurora,Revell U.S.A had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection;allowing Revell U.S.A to
restructure all of their financial assets. They sold all of the old Aurora & Monogram;and Revell/Monogram molds to Atlantis Models;a newly established plastic model kit manufacturing company based here in the U.S.A,that has been manufacturing and releasing reproductions of these classic vintage Aurora kits;some of which haven't seen the light of day,in almost 70 years. The original kits would have cost between $0.65 and $10.00 between 50 and 70 years ago;but when adjusted for inflation in today's money, these reproductions of vintage Aurora kits would cost between $20.00 and $35.00;they definitely are not as cheap as they used to be,50 to 70 years ago.
