You all prolly dont give a damn but does someone know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot the login password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me.
Nice one Vladimir! I use dubbing loops, composite dubbing loops and dubbing ropes for 99% of the bodies of my flies, very rarely do I use a "conventional" dubbing noodle. The techniques you show are excellent - well presented as well! I use what I call a "dubbing rope" most of the time as it is just a slight twist (sorry for the pun :-) ) on a regular dubbing noodle, much more durable and it's very quick to do. Essentially, I dub a long noodle and fold it back on itself before twisting and wrapping. Here is a more detailed explanation... To create a tight, tapered body with good segmentation... I dub a tight noodle 30% longer than what I need that is tapered to both ends; I catch the noodle at the 60% point with a shepards-hook dubbing twister and fold the noodle back on itself into a dubbing loop, tie off the thread and wrap it forward out of the way; then I twist up the dubbing loop to make a "rope" and wrap the body with that. It takes a second to do and gives a lot more control over the whole process so I use this method all the time. "Spikeyness" is controlled by the fur selection and often I will add some long fibers (flash, feather or hair) into the loop before twisting to create a composite loop that forms a collar on the fly. The end result is very durable and doesn't need to be ribbed. Hope this is of interest! Cheers! Hank
Thanks Hank 😀 I will try to do it... Sounds interesting... Thanks for sharing your technique. I may send u an email or to to see if i got it right. I love to combine different things and learn... Sometimes I get bored by tying the same way for too long.... Then i change things.... Often the change results in something new... And this goes in circles.... Never ending thing 😀😀
Thank you very much for the video and clarifying how to tighten the loop, I kept missing a step !! I agree, very instructive channel. Keep up the great work
Another greatly informative video. Love these flies. They are the buggiest looking, maybe cause I'm partial to antron and CDC. Paired together they make a good team. I use these flies all the time for my favorite trout to catch, native brookies!!!
Cdc is wonderful material.... Antron one of the best artificial materials... U r right there....perfect combo. I got only one brookie in my life..... Maybe 3inches long 🤣🤣🤣
Hi Vladimir. I'm a huge fan of your videos and watch almost all of them, and many of them several times! I have recently come back to this video which I find very informative and was wondering if you'd be interested in making some videos of the flies you displayed at the beginning, also the one from 5:48. Cheers!
Its sort of power thread. This one is chinese. I live in china so i buy whatever i can find... But great thread is semperfli nanosilk or textreme power thread.... Dyneema fiber threads i believe... So you can tighten it like crazy 😀😀
best channel to learn from, i think!
Thank you so much for those kind words... If there is anything you would like me to cover, please tell me... If i can do it i will for sure
