I sort of hate to give up this secret, but it is for one of my favorite streetfighter pro players (favorite Karin player), but Cammys forward heavy kick is secretly amazing. In the initial nine frames or so, she actually does a step back that reduces her hurtbox. Which means that you can actually hit this button at the same time as most jabs in the game and get a free heavy punish counter. It’s also combos extremely easy into charged heavy spiral arrow, which I then typically follow up with OD canon spike to maintain corner pressure
What you just described is one of Cammys combos in the combo trials. The forward + Heavy kick aka Delayed Ripper -> heavy Spiral Arrow -> OD cannon spike. Thanks for the insight on the animation details of delayed ripper that makes it a punish counter. Did not realize that before. It’s called delayed ripper because of her step back (the delay) followed by the kick, that ends up being a RIP moment 😅
As a new player, I recommend other new players watch this in 20ish minute segments. Then play to try and internalize/process the info in game. There’s a lot of info here! Great guide! Definitely gonna make the best use of it that I can!
This guide was godlike, the hooligan side switch combo into sa1 and the meaty setup after throw was literally the perfect answer for a lot of the situations I got myself into.
Picked up SF6 and a PS5 and in ONE day, with this guide alone, was able to do all these combos within a few hours of also learning the game mechanics!! It's possible! Stay focus! And thank you Punk!
Congrats on your wins Punk! 2 tourneys wins, day 10-ish Alpha Cammy guide from Punk, hell yeah! We've been blessed. Really appreciate you taking the time with the guide, and showing things that some people are even thinking of. Really big fan of your style, the neutral, the pokes, pressure, and straight restlessness when you smell fear. Thank you again! (also going to be using "Dead that")
this was pretty much perfect, you explained all the uses for every move and gave a detailed gameplan for the character. I just decided to main cammy too so it was perfect timing
I would love to see more guides like this one from you because your explanations of everything make the guide so much easier to comprehend and remember. I really appreciate that you took your time with this guide because even though it’s very lengthy at an hour long, every second is worth watching and packed with useful information that’s easy to grasp. Looking forward to seeing more guides from you punk!
This video right here. I was a huge Street Fighter 2 fan as a kid. But I was a kid. But I tried to get into fighting games with SF4 and I mained Cammy. I played a ton, but never got to the point where I actually played against other people. Fast forward to now. I'm getting into SF6. Fighting game hype has never been higher. Is Cammy any good? Let's find a tutorial from someone who seems to know what they're talking about. And I found this video. And Punk, you've been my introduction into the game. You're a huge reason I've stuck around. And now you're Evo champion! Congratulations man! I appreciate your enthusiasm for the game, it's contagious. I appreciate your willingness to talk game and show others, I've learned a lot. You the best
I love how punk just slaps together some sick combo and is just like "Yeah so just do that" meanwhile I'm practicing dive kicks. The information is valuable for me at this stage though, especially about what buttons are good
Yea if punk does a tutorial I just gotta watch it for the knowledge. Gettin to see how one of the best approaches specific points of the game is amazing to me even if I don’t even play the character lol. Good stuff punk I’m loving ur content bro
I truly appreciate the insight! I've been a Cammy main since Ultra IV (I left my boy Abel on the sidelines, RIP) and this iteration kind of stumped me at first. I was having issues getting in and maintaining pressure in SF6, and I know part of that was adjusting to the new mechanics (I still eat too many DIs), However, this coupled with watching you open people up and maintain pressure has helped me a ton. Keep up the Cammy and thanks for the content!
Hi Punk, I'm fairly new to fighting games and even newer to SF (SF6 is the first in the series that I'm committing to). This is an amazing tutorial even for beginners who might not be familiar with all the FG terminology. It's structured really well so that someone can work their way through it. I myself will be using this and work my way out of Rookie. Capcom needs you to write their next tutorials fr !! Hope I can catch you live on twitch soon.
Can we have more of these on deck? Having a character crisis settling on a main so I’m rotating through the roster and tutorials like this are gold in figuring out who you like.
This video is so good. im considering Cammy as my alternative main to Manon. Lol Manon takes alot of patience to be good with, so Cammy would be a breath of fun to use.
6HK has an early hurtbox shift, use it to call out low pokes on your minus frames in certain matchups as a spacing trap from max well spaced 2MK/5MK/5HK
don't worry i get it. works really well as people usually press button after they block crouch MK. easy confirm into charge spiral arrow -> super. good advice.
after heavy arrow in the corner, standing LK into crouching heavy is +3 on block. I think you can do MP into HP for the corner meaty after throw, but the timing is harder
This tutorial is absolutely incredible. Really amazing to see your POV of cammy and how you went into so much depth. Thank you so so much for this! To answer your question at the end, I'd love to see a detailed guide on Lily. I know she isn't the greatest character with the most sauce, but seeing such a great player's perspective on her kit would be awesome!
Scrub here, so may be inconsequential, but I did find that Cammys Foward HK gets out of range of medium hit pokes and punish's them because of the little hop she does at the begining of the move, so you could bait opponents by thinking they are at the range to poke you with medium hits. Don't know if its something that would make this move worthwhile but just thought I'd mention it in case people haven't noticed it yet.
yo this is one of the best tutorials for any SF that i've personally watched. Super well detailed and explained in a way that my dumb ass could not only understand how to do the combos/setups but why and when to use them. thank you!
Really appreciate this video. I have a friend who is getting into street fighter for the first time ever with 6 and he's maining Cammy. I play grapplers and zoners so it has been a bit tough for me to help him with the really in depth stuff. I've taught him basic footsies, oki, and told him what tools read to me as good for Cammy but I can't really show him anything past basics (other than how to deal specifically with grapplers). This guide will be perfect for him, thanks a million Punk, you're the best for a reason.
My man Punk! I just wanted to say thank you for making this video, I was having a lot of trouble against JP and I wanted to learn Cammy, I reached master rank in 2 days and yesterday at a tournament counter picked a JP and won ! Thanks again man your insights about the game are extremely valuable for the community keep up the good work
thanks for the tutorial, everything was really fleshed out and it gave me some major direction in terms of what im supposed to be doing with cammy, this was great!! cant wait for the next one.
Punkda🐐 for this tutorial. I’ve been sweating Lily for a while, and have been searching for a sub. You taking the time to create this video is much appreciated!
Aye "Honestly Brutal" video when he explain every street fighter 6 champs, when he did Cammy at the end it made me think of you lol. Hey big hearts big love bruddah, From one punk to another . 🖤
I find a ton of uses for hooligan combo. Its actually one of her best tools but largely depends on the type of match. Its a great pressure tool on wake up and forces your opponent to make a decision on what they think youre going to do and what you actually do. I find the LP version the most versatile. You can hop over people and make them block low or high. Its good on characters like chun li when they spam projectiles. Its a daunting move that shes had since the Super 2 days that i really learned to appreciate more as i got older. A great mix up tool and really can keep your opponent on their toes. Basically it just gives her another avenue of attack and approach. It can also be spaced well and be safer on block and can be a really cheap way to set up a super.
This video is amazing, I have learned a ton and improved so much already from it. Very helpful to break it into small chunks and practice, and then come back once after training for a while. Thank you for making this!!
This was great! A lot of information to take in and will definitely take a lot of practice to incorporate all of these tips. Would love to see a Juri guide next! Cheers Punk!
Infiltration is the highest level Street Fighter player i've seen, he has a guide(s.) :D Okay sorry Punk, i'll go now. :3 (Thanks again for the *great* Cammy guide!)
Thanks for this punk, im picking up cammy kinda tired of using guile trying to switch up from a charge character for a bit. Very informative video please do more guides like this!
Or maybe he wants to prove he was serious when he said, in Lord Knight's podcast, [paraphrasing] "I can tell you my whole game plan and you still won't be able to beat me if you're not better than me."
Yeah, ive got an hour
me when i got an hour
An hour drive home, time to absorb nothing from the guide while getting crossed up in traffic

I love you for this comment lol.
An Evo champ's guide on the character they won Evo with - a rare treat.

I normally use it as a meaty because the reach is so good and people don't expect it but I need to use it more.
this combo is in the game's combo trials, seriously a useful tool against an overly aggressive opponent
I feel like they gave a few characters command normals like these but I never could figure out their usage, especially Jamie’s 4HP

Great guide! Definitely gonna make the best use of it that I can!
I love that Punk learn something new from his own guide
They say to give is also to receive
16:46 "The good combos" 😂😂😂. I keep coming back to this guide. Learning a lot lately with her.
This guide was godlike, the hooligan side switch combo into sa1 and the meaty setup after throw was literally the perfect answer for a lot of the situations I got myself into.
Punk actually doing tutorials? Im all for it
Look at this guy cheesin while sharing some s tier knowledge. ❤
@@peterpnutz6691 I saw combos and my jaw dropped.
I'm learning a lot just from this one vid.
Damn, this is like a dream come true. A whole complete hour of punk explaining how to play Cammy.
Punk ‘s subscribers fixing to double real quick with these kinda gems . Such detailed lessons . You the man Punk !
Picked up SF6 and a PS5 and in ONE day, with this guide alone, was able to do all these combos within a few hours of also learning the game mechanics!!
It's possible! Stay focus! And thank you Punk!
It's been a long time since I've heard someone use the jab, strong, fierce, short, forward, and roundhouse terminology. Takes me back!
im new to sf. so this tutorial didnt just help me learn the character more but it made me understand the game alot more. thx appreciate it

why against low pokes specifically?

By far the most usefull Cammy guide on the youtubes. Highly appreciated!
This is the Bible for any Cammy player. Thank you!

You can actually back heavy kick as an anti-air and super lv1 or lv3/CA. I've closed out some rounds with it just because they jumped at me
Great tutorial for anyone wanting to pick up this character. Has pretty much all the tech you need
Wow not only get a tutorial for a top cammy main, it's also a very very good formatted one as well, full of useful tips. Thanks punk.
