I'm not an isheep I have the s10 but the iPhone has the best software optimization.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 has a 3300 mAh battery which is smaller than the G8 and a bigger 6.39 inches display than the LG G8 and it still lasted pretty long IMO.
Finally an LG G8 battery test... took a while but I appreciate your work. The G8 did really well I was surprised it seems their making better software optimizations. Anyways, great video.

Wow Lg g8 is so impressive from 100 dow to 50% he manage to equal those 2 4100mah+ sam batteries with its 3500mah batt how about v50's 4000mah its going to beat that s10+ for sure
People have been sleeping on LG's optimization for years. They look at the battery size and deem it as bad without actually seeing it in use unfortunately.

Wow the LG G8 lasted only 20 minutes less than the Samsung phones with 500 / 1000mAh's bigger batteries. LG killing it this year once again.
The one thing missing from this test is chargespeed. The 5G should charge way faster than the Plus

for the xiaomi mi 9 video recording test, because it's using the 4k 30 fps recording as default setting, so battery will drain faster than others

@@mateusfs bruh...shit has a big battery. Its not as refined as the G8s design imo and its a Kirin. Snapdragon is the best SoC right below Apples A12. Kirin still has ways to go. But I'm nothing but impressed at just how much Huawei have improved. Like just a few years ago their quad cores were as good as snapdragons dual core lol

for the third time I feel the need to explain this - Razer Phones have highest refresh rates which make animations and scrolling much smoother than any other phones but battery life suffers a lot, it has nothing to do with LCD vs OLED... I am surprised that such info is not mentioned in this video... P.S. I am glad to see that G8 performed so well 😁
you're right that refresh rates are one factor, however I've been doing these battery tests for years and lcd phones always have underperformed vs oled (not just the razer). i should have mentioned the refresh rates, though. that plays a part.
Sense Mi 9's update its battery optimization has been changed drastically. It burns everything there. It runs with the S10+ beating it by a few minutes and the 5g loses by 30 almost.

How do u get the S10 5G to last like that. I have had my 5G off the the charger for 4 hours with 10 minutes of videos and occasional looking stuff up online and its already at 47% battery.

Man, LG has been really consistent for a while now with their battery optimization, yet very few influencer talks about it. The V50 with his 4000mah battery size is potentially going to be 2019 battery king. Biggest rival for now should be P30 Pro, until we know about Note 10 specs.

Wasn't available at the time and would've had to wait a couple months. This is the only Exynos Samsung I own, and I don't plan to get another unless the SD isn't available again.

The S10+ and the 5G have the same resolution screen, so just because the screen is bigger doesn't mean it uses more battery. The amount of pixels is the same just spread out over more area
That's why I love simple hardware (and simple settings as well,) it doesn't take a lot of power to run. 😊🌎✨

These phones already had major discount over the few months since they were released, and Xperia 1 will sadly feel too overpriced for costing $1000.
4K HDR 21:9 OLED alone doesn't cut it, and hardware wise, the camera system on it will be on par with phones that are similar to it, namely the Galaxy S10/S10+, while the P30 Pro with its massive 1/1.7" RYYB sensor would continue to reign supreme in low light (even without night mode, which the Xperia 1 will lack).
It's pointless for them to announce a phone and only get it ready for release 2 months later, when even 1 month already feels too long.
They're taking way too long to release the phone, as if the phone itself is actually going to sell well and going to be available worldwide.
I'm a Sony Xperia fan, but until they change this horrible strategy, I'm not expecting them to be successful soon, regardless of how good the products are.
a 4k display is actually a horrible idea, it will drain the battery stupidly fast without even noticing a big difference in sharpness, especially since 98% of movies are still 1080p lmao.

This is late but the 5g S10 has a brighter display than the regular S10 plus. And since they were on full brightness that might have had an impact as well

Subjective! 5g has a larger screen more battery will be used. Depends on usage I guess. Bigger battery more battery life. 5g last all day with normal use while the plus does not.
As mentioned, this has to due with the SD vs Exynos chipset.

for years LG have had smaller batteries than the rest even when screen size was the same or extremely close,specs always seem underwhelming,but come close,as for your trash comment,underated shouldve been your comment. in SOUTH AFRICA,the S10,ETC are almost close to double the price of g8. at that price its great value for money and the s10s,etc is not worth that amount for such a small difference in performance,never will be. yes they stuck in the 2year back times with a "notch". but the gesture control is different,like BMWs,and a mate of mine overseas has one says once you use it,it works. s11 has touch control....the world goes wild....g8....nothing said. the difference is not as big as you make it out to be. eg,why did samsung copy LGs wide angle camera set ups? lg was first of the main players to use this.their camera,omw samsung has a wide angle camera the world goes nuts,for something i had years agooooo. the fact is the there are differences some large some small,its personal pref that makes us choose,some do it to be with the in crowd which is most peoples reason anyway. 80%or more of the people who own dont use a third of its capability.@@tristenwilliams558
