5:53 the zoom quality on the S10+ seemed a bit sharper than the 5G. The street signs seemed clearer.
Samsung should have brought 5g in s10+ itself..

I had the galaxy s7 for years. I never even got close top maxing out the storage mainly because the external SD card. I got the 5G with 256GB 8mb ram so I know I will never get closer to maxing it out plus its faster file transfer since its all internal. But for the life of me I can't figure out why Samsung didn't give the SD card option for the 5g. Wondering if it had something to do with the larger storage? Still would have been nice. I have the 5G and it's a beast. I do photography so I appreciate the camera its major. The larger screen is sweet. For the size its comfortable in the hand. I read and heard complaints about the power button being too high on the 10+ and I understand why. The 5G has it within a comfortable distance. I would say that I am 5G ready if it ever comes to town. The battery life well I have to say is a huge plus.
I could forsee the background blurring on the 5G being a constant hindrance when trying to get the right focus on a quick camera shot, I'd rather have my entire photo in focus and clear or to manually adjust the focus to exactly how I want it. Also the additional 4GB of RAM seems like a pretty significant factor to put in the S10+'s favor, kinda surprised the 5G doesn't have it.
The only thing the 5G currently seems to do better is... the 5G itself, which isn't really easy to test right now as its too early but with speeds you already get with 4G I'm sure the 5G is faster but is it $200 - $400 faster? I'd wager probably not.
S10+ is probably the better deal.

5:35-6:00. The S10+ was way more focused at max zoom. Both still look cruddy, just the S10+ less so.

Can point out that a lot of those apps you tested rely on internet connectivity at start up which would be a lot fast if you had 5g over 4g

I pre-ordered the S10 5G was going to by the S10+ but had to go with the latest phone, plus 5G can be a hit or a miss, but at least it will be able to use the 4G LTE so it's all good, wish the Ram was the same size as the S10+ but oh well. Can't wait to have it. Waited 2yrs for upgrade

Hi, i have a question. In Australia the Telstra network are doing a free upgrade. i have the S10+, when the S10 5G is available here in a couple of mths Telstra is doing a free up grade from the S10+ to the S10 5G if we want too.
Should i stick with the S10+ for the next 2 years or take the free swap. i love my S10+ only had it for 4 weeks but 5G is exciting i think. Thanks in advance & great review.
Does the screen on the 5G have a slight red tint to it as compared to the 10+? I noticed the screens have a slight difference in terms of colour shift.

Better camera on S10+ and more bright, also the battery on 5G has 10% more capacity but the screen is only 5% bigger and the battery performance is still the same,
this make the S10+ better, and the reason is the SD855.

I wouldn't say the same. 1% better at 15% drain would translate to 7% better for the full battery drain. Not a huge difference though

Well he did the 12gb ram version of the plus, you only get 12gb ram on the 1TB model. Other wise all S10s are 8gb

I thought this video was going to compare the speed of 5G vs 4G LTE load up time. That's why I clicked on this video. For at&t, 5G is spread out all over the place. 5G runs in the cities and also in a lot of parts in the country. Verizon wireless has 5G enabled also but it's not as wide spread as at&t yet.

I don't care about 5G (highly unlikely it will be installed in even the city near me within the next 2 years). But they actually improved the cameras and made it bigger. Worth considering at least.

Qualcomm said 5G can only be enabled if and only if Snapdragon 855 is paired with its X50 modem?
A R Samsung developed their own modem that supports 5G “Exynos Modem 5100”. The US will receive the 855 with the X50 modem. From what I have seen the 855 is faster overall.

How was the screen resolution between the two? I compared my S10+ to a Note 9 and it was much better on the Note so I'm curious if the 5g was the same or better.

I would not buy the 5G cuz there are some sacrifices made like no micro SD for expandable storage. Also it is too expensive and the networks are not available in my area!

@@cyenesclanda8206 I personally need more than 1tb. I record storms, upload them to UA-cam and save them in micro sd cards. I've had phones in the past with no micro sd slots and it filled quickly (like in 2 months). But I guess it was because I had a 64gb phone.
The networks issue isn't a problem since you'll still have 4g. And yeah it's not expandable, but you're still getting at least 256gb. And the cost is only going to be around $200 more than the s10 plus, which isn't much

I love everythings about s10 5g. Im using gold color. . One thing is monthly pay is abit hight and 5g is not really working sometimes. I think i waste some money. But i love my phone so much. It pefect for me
6:19 You're NOT supposed to HOLD your finger on the fingerprint scanner.
It's hilarious how so few people on UA-cam know how to properly use the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
S10+ has been my daily phone for months and the fingerprint scanner is just as inaccurate/slow regardless of whether I tap or hold. It's just a bad gen 1 fingerprint scanner, but everything else about the phone is excellent.

9:09 the 10+ is running snapdragon 855 while since IT has That 4,3,1 core lineup while the 5G is running the exynos 9820.
The snapdragon is faster and better so Thats Why the 5G was performing better!

Your battery test wasn't fair. The 10+ had mobile networks enabled and a cell connection on top of the wifi, which will use more power. The 10 5g did not have a cell connection so it was using less power. To make this fair, both devices should either be both connected to a cell network or both be placed in airplane mode with wifi enabled for the tests.
There is going to be a full battery test soon. So I'm guessing he will make it fair @Bradley Hayes

The 1TB model is 12gb of ram. Otherwise it's 8gb.
