    Hi again Milo, Just seen the release of the new Version very existed to download and have a look, is it as simple as copy and pasting data across to the new version? I have spent the last two weeks working on creating a lot of content and don't want to have to start from scratch. Thanks and keep up the good work.

      Hey Fez, yes for the most part you can just copy and paste things from one database to another. You can also select a bunch of database entries and then click "Move to" and select the new database in the new Teacher Planner.

    We are using this for homeschool. How would you suggest we use the class feature when a single class falls on different times each day? For example, English is Mondays at 9:00, Tuesdays at 12:00, Wednesdays at 10:00, Thursdays at 9:30, and Fridays at 10:45.

      There are a few things you can do:
      1. Duplicate the class multiple times and change the "Time of Day". Then when you add students and/or lessons to a class, make sure to "tag" all the classes. If you aren't constantly updating the information in the class pages then this works out fine.
      If you are constantly changing the information in the class pages and/or plan to share the pages with your students, then you can duplicate the class page as before, but add a "Synced Block" inside the page and put all of your resources in there. Then add the synced block to each class page. Whenever you change something in one block, then it will affect all of the synced blocks in all the classes.
      2. Keep the same class and just add multiple days, and change the "date" property to show say something like "9 Mon, 12 Tues". It will be more ugly but you will only have one version of the class page.
      The thing with Notion anyway is having it work for YOU. You will always be customizing everything to suite your particular situation.

      @@notion4teachers A video on this would be nice. Just purchased the whole package and this is a problem for me as well as in my country, we tend to have the same class twice a week at different times......

      @@Lordofthefield I could definitely make a video on this in the future! However, the fix is really quite simple.
      As I mentioned above:
      1. For your single class that falls on different times each day, create multiple "classes", one for each day and time.
      2. Title it something like "Class 1-Mon" "Class 1-Tues"
      3. Create a "Synced Block" for all of the class information that is the same across the multiple classes
      4. Whenever you create a "lesson" or "student", tag them to all of the classes they attend each week.
      This should work fine.

      Just recently I added a new/upgraded version. You still have access to the old version, the one in the video. But now you can choose between both.

    Another question: Is there a way to edit the different templates (notes, lessons etc.)? I work in a different language and don’t want to change the headlines etc. every time I open a new site.

    • @notion4teachers
      @notion4teachers  3 місяці тому +1

      Yes! If you go to any one of the database views for lessons, notes, etc. go to the TOP-RIGHT of the database view and there is a blue arrow...
      Click that and you will see all the database templates. There is one already set to DEFAULT. Click that and go to "edit template". Then you can change it however you like or even create your own database templates.
      Hope this helps!

    How do I include the student grade tracker in that template ?

    • @notion4teachers
      @notion4teachers  4 місяці тому

      I will be adding the grades tracker to the Ultimate Teacher Planner soon. But for now you can just add it manually - I have a video showing you how to make one :)

    How do you track attendance for a student in multiple classes on the same day if he attends one class but misses the next one?

    • @notion4teachers
      @notion4teachers  5 місяців тому

      You could just add another "Attendance Day" for the same day and then tag the student again. This should work fine :)
