In the early gen, the lps came with a code that you can scan and they appear in a mobile game. In the game you get to expand Blythe’s pet shop, with each new floor that you buy coming with a new mini game. It's been wiped off the App Store AND Google Play Store. I did get to play it before it was removed, and you basically perfectly summarised it. My favourite minigame was the canvas one. Shame the game's gone now.
As some one who was obsessed with lps as a kid LOVE this dive into the mediocre but nostalgic games but genuinely sad that both you AND izzzyzzz mention lpso but not lps vip!!! (You even show a vip plush at 2:47!) It was the online game that came before lpso and i played it constantly. It was online but not an mmo, it kinda reminded me of something like pet society (or really any other facebook type social game) where you could dress up your pet and room. You could look at other people's rooms but that was about it for the social aspect. Like the console games you had a top down world you would just explore and play mindless mini games. I think there was a basic farming mechanic too?? There were also pets who came with buddies, kinda like lil kinz from webkinz they were smaller but they just followed around the main pet with the actual code. As far as im aware this thing is lost media (i think a few gameplays videos still exist), any one who remembers a browser based lps game thinks of lpso, and i don't blame them lpso was way better but it just always makes me sad how forgotten lps vip is. They still do live on in the some of the best designed lps plushies imo. Also vip stood for virtual online pet and i always thought that was super cute :3
The DS games and the Gameloft game were my childhood. If I were to make an LPS series, it would definitely have the setting of the second and third DS games! LPS Friends is especially my favorite of the trilogy; I love how it has so many interactive things around the map and the accessories being very customizable. The LPS Gameloft game is partially lost media by the way! There are a few limited pets that still need images and descriptions uploaded online.
Idk if anyone remembers to this game (or can prove my sayings) which was released back to the early 2010's. Not much could I recall from that game, only is it was similar to the most popular LPS game, but with lower graphics, a gachapon machine in the shop, also you could buy various pets, houses, which were different. If anyone remembers to this, you're OG. If noone, I would consider this a lost media then.
hadnt had a single thought about those lps tamagotchi games in like 15 years but im so glad youve forcibly brought them back into my consciousness bc i was once obsessed
IM SO GLAD YOU MENTIONED THE LITTLE TAMOGACHI THINGS I HAD THREE I LOVED THEMMM I had the one you have, the hamster and the ladybird and the hamster was my favourite. i used to adore them, my parents didnt want me to have a real tamogachi at the time but i loved lps so much i didnt care when i was handed three lps ones for the price of one real tama LOL
This was such a nostalgic hit to the head for me. I used to play so much LPS games as a kid, especially the DS games. I think I may still have those games. I especially loved the biggest stars and the friends games because they had good minigames (at least I think so-I should replay the game), have a nice plot, and the pets having personalities. I also loved and used to collect so much LPS tamagotchi as a kid (the one I remembered most was a hamster) and the plug and play too. Thank you for giving me such a nostalgia boost with this video.
@@DeviBuster oh hi, youtube never gave me a notification, but yes I know which one that is, the one you had sounds to be moshling theme park, but the others were moshling zoo and katsuma unleashed.
I remember playing the LPS Friends game on repeat as a kid. I'd get to the party, feel satisfied, and then just restart. And it is burned into my brain forever I think
I used to have the LPS plug and play game! It made me so happy as a kid :) It even CAME with my first littlest petshop owl, which I still have on my shelf. I also had the little digital pet.
For some reason I have ALL of the big star DS games and I 100% ALL THREE OF THEM After rewatching this I think I should do it again my ds still works after all
The one at 2:15 isn't a DS game tie-in, it's actually a card creator where you could drag and drop images and whatnot to create your own printable cards :3
I had the LPS tamagotchi, and its was absolutely insane the amount of things you could do with these. I was basically stranded to the countryside at my grandma's farmhouse and this thing kept me busy for the whole 10 days. I did even touch my whole ass Nintendo DS. Needless to say I was pretty disappointed testing out Tamagotchis after that.
As a kid I used to play a lot like A LOT the LPS pc version and it was so fun, it opened my eyes to open world games, i still have the game and i really want to play it again lol
Theres another moble game for lps inless i had a fever dream about it but yah its different to others, its the hotel and you unlock the levels over time and do other things with it
I was actually never an LPS fan as a kid, but i somehow came into possession of an LPS Friends ds game. I lost it during a move a few years ago, but couldn't remember what game it was- you were right that it got burned into my 2009 brain as a kid because I'd spent a long time trying to find it. Really good video!
1:28 the third one is definitely not from the same era as the other two. it uses assets and the logo from the 2012 cartoon. so it would have to be from 2012 at the earliest
They actually did do another LPS show, Littlest Pet Shop: World of Our Own, it ran for 1 season but it was definitely a step up in quality and the designs actually looked good!
I had the plug and play game, and for some reason mine was in black and white exclusively, so let's say I was surprised and felt betrayed when I learnt this game actually has COLORS! Anyways I was absolutely obsessed with it, I would play it everyday. The day the cable got damaged beyond repair was the worst thing to ever happen to child me I was also VERY obsessed with the Gameloft one it was insane
3:26 I HAD THIS PLUG N PLAY QHEN I WAS A KID. I LOVED IT SO MUCH. WE STILL HAVE THE CONTROLLER BUT THE CABLE WAS CUT OFF,,, I WANNA BUY ANOTHER ONE AND PLAY IT AGAIN.
I had an LSPO account, LPS Biggest Adventure, and the Wii versions of LPS 2008 and LPS friends Also that stupid Light game from Friends was a nightmare 😭
I had both the Plug-n-Play and Wii version of LPS Friends as a kid! loved them both to death honestly, Friends really scratched my brain just right when I was like 10
I was shaking and gripping my seat waiting for lps friends I LOVE THAT GAME SO MUCH!!!! Hearing the title song got me running around like an animal in its enclosure
i still have the gameloft game on my phone, oh how happy it made me. one of my core memories was being 6, grinding to get a bunny rabbit animal thing while sitting on the couch in the living room with my dad coming home and my mom making macaroni. IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY
the 90’s Littlest pet shop cartoon was lovely btw it was very standard toon-ish 90’s humor and episode format. I remember watching the episodes 5 years back and it held up decently .
I used to play the MLP and LPS Gameloft games all the time. I spent more time on the MLP one, but I do get very nostalgic when I see the LPS one. It was a simple time then. 😅
I had the "circumcised" version of the virtual pet!! The horse one!! I do not think it was as loud. I can't remember a lot which is not unusual for me as I have memory problems but I do remember getting to walk the horse and go shopping. I also had the DS version of the Wii game. I think Winter? It was really cute. I liked all the different lands and dressing them up and stuff. There was a virtual world ala Webkinz from around the same time as well. You needed a plush with a code. I have no idea if any of it from it was archived.
for the longest time I hear about lps but never really knew what it was and now not only has this video made me understand the whole premise but it also made me unlock some core memories because I remember being obsesses as hell with the 2012 lps show and that one game, I genuinely did not remember what the hell they were called so thank you for this video, you've just made me remember my childhood a bit more lol
There was a flash LPS game i played as a child in the early 2000s, It was a pet salon game and I don't believe you mentioned it but it was a staple to my childhood along with poly pocket.
I gotta say the inFamous title sliding across the screen for like 12 frames while a clip of the bee movie plays and Shunks talks about Wii games hit me with a lot of unexpected whiplash
You actually forgot LPS: Your World game for IOS and Android, some newer pets had a symbol you could scan to have those pets ingame, also I remember there being a similar game to Gameloft's for older Phones that had buttons but it's just a faint memory
i remember staying up super late at a sleepover with my friends playing their LPS game to blue ribbon the skyline game, crouched over the screen and DS plugged into the wall. good times.
oh my god i remember being like no older than 10? probably less, and my dad getting me that pig tomodachi game on a carride to keep me entertained because it was cheap and i have so much nostalgia for it, im extremely tempted to buy one just to relive it but its so expensive. I remember you could travel across the ocean with a boat and look at some leaves falling and i thought the music was so pretty as a kid. i remember it gave me kinda weirdly liminal vibes but i still loved it
The tv plug in game my grandma got my for Christmas and kept it at her house to play when I was over with a cold or being watched when my mom was at work. So nostalgic to see it again
The plug and play section scared me so bad I thought I had dreamed it all up 😭😭 also the seahorse was my favorite so I was pissed I couldn’t play more games with it
I have the blue tamagotchi, but a dog version. It has tons of games but bc of the lack of buttons it’s really hard to get around. There is a big map and plenty of activities. It needs more than just “change option” and “select”.
I really enjoyed the mobile game for the most part, but what irritated me was easy it was to buy things 😭 like the lightest tap ever had me spending half of my gems and I kinda quit after accidentally buying a penguin
the amount of memories i got flushing back at me from the Littlest Pet Shop friends city ds version or whatever is insane, i LIVED that game as a kid, tried starting it up again but cant get it to work on my ds anymore tho, crying
I had the plug n play and tamogatchi. i was scared it wouldn't be on here. I'm sorry I doubted you, Shunks. So excited to see they were first. So nostalgic to see footage from the plug n' after so long. So happy for this video!
I had the plug and play, friends on the ds, and purple team, I remember them all so vividly lol, I played the heck out of purple team man, that monkey minigame I remember went on forever. Those animations are all so charming to me
I'm the world's biggest LPS Friends defender. I regularly stayed up past my bed time just to play it all the time as a small child. Life altering stuff.
My first little pet shop was 2002 or 2003 or 2004. It was a white Persian cat with a fish in a tank. Back when they had the pink magnets. It was definitely before 2005 or very early 2005 at the latest Edit: found it online! 2004. All the listings have listed as #9 white cat and #10 fish in a bowl. I was 4 or 5 depending on the month of the year. I hadn’t started kindergarten yet but I was born in September so I had to start late
will forever be distraught over losing my lps plug and play. we had a van with those little tvs n one day my mom put the game in the trunk and didn’t realize the cable was dragging across the thruway ❤️
i actually still have my LPS digital pet! i had no idea how it worked as a kid, and STILL have no idea how it works now. that game was borderline archaeic, but i adore it 💕
Came here for Littlest Pet Shop Friends for the Wii. I didn't really have the toys or anything else as a kid, but I did have that game and was obsessed with it (I think I still have it in my box of Wii games)
I grew up owning Biggest Pets 3 with the horse and dog, and also had the Wii game as well! I remember playing it for hours just to beat the game, and collect everything in it. It brings back so many memories to think about, and with how happy it made me as a child!

They still do live on in the some of the best designed lps plushies imo. Also vip stood for virtual online pet and i always thought that was super cute :3
That PC port of Littlest Pet Shop was my favorite game as a child.
SCREAMING
I had some of the story based DS games!!!! They were actually SUPER fun! I miss those games.
MY SIBLINGS WERE OBSESSED WITH THE LITTLEST PET SHIP WII GAME!!! IT WAS SO FUN!!!
THE LITTLEST PET SHOP GAME IS SHUT DOWN??? Im so upset what.
You forget the Gameloft game that comes with the smasung pocket cellphone and can't be deleted or downloaded
The Gameloft one reminded me a lot of the moshi monsters ds game I had growing up lol
Which one? (Yes, there are multiple moshi games for ds)
@@pokefan006 I didn't know that! I think it had something to do with an amusement park?
@@DeviBuster oh hi, youtube never gave me a notification, but yes I know which one that is, the one you had sounds to be moshling theme park, but the others were moshling zoo and katsuma unleashed.
I remember playing the LPS Friends game on repeat as a kid. I'd get to the party, feel satisfied, and then just restart. And it is burned into my brain forever I think
I gotta admit I found NOTHING about LPS online, and I thought I made it up as a fever dream because of it lmaoo
I used to have the LPS plug and play game! It made me so happy as a kid :) It even CAME with my first littlest petshop owl, which I still have on my shelf. I also had the little digital pet.
For some reason I have ALL of the big star DS games and I 100% ALL THREE OF THEM
After rewatching this I think I should do it again my ds still works after all
I still have my lps tamagotchi thing, i had the persian cat and so far it still works! I havent even had to replace the battery
22:21 okay but why did I almost cry hearing the home screen music again 😅
I got genuinely sad hearing that the LPS Mobile game no longer exists lol
Gameloft mobile games were a suprisingly big part of my childhood
The one at 2:15 isn't a DS game tie-in, it's actually a card creator where you could drag and drop images and whatnot to create your own printable cards :3
I LOVED THE LPS 2008 ONE SM AS A KID, I LOW-KEY MISS IT 😭
LOVED the lps biggest adventure game growing up! Nostalgia, damn
Theres another moble game for lps inless i had a fever dream about it but yah its different to others, its the hotel and you unlock the levels over time and do other things with it
Yes!!! You’re not dreaming it’s called littlest pet shop your world and came out in 2014 :)
SHUNKS DREAM JELLY GAVE YOU A SHOUT OUT
22:23 jokes on you that song has lived rent free in my head for years
1:28 the third one is definitely not from the same era as the other two. it uses assets and the logo from the 2012 cartoon. so it would have to be from 2012 at the earliest
They actually did do another LPS show, Littlest Pet Shop: World of Our Own, it ran for 1 season but it was definitely a step up in quality and the designs actually looked good!
If we do get a new LPS show, I want them to retool and reboot the 2012 Show. It can be after a timeskip or just a reboot
I FORGOT ABOUT THE DAY PLANNER! Also love plug and play games! Had 2 of the dream life series
I had the plug and play game, and for some reason mine was in black and white exclusively, so let's say I was surprised and felt betrayed when I learnt this game actually has COLORS!
Anyways I was absolutely obsessed with it, I would play it everyday. The day the cable got damaged beyond repair was the worst thing to ever happen to child me
I was also VERY obsessed with the Gameloft one it was insane
3:26 I HAD THIS PLUG N PLAY QHEN I WAS A KID. I LOVED IT SO MUCH. WE STILL HAVE THE CONTROLLER BUT THE CABLE WAS CUT OFF,,, I WANNA BUY ANOTHER ONE AND PLAY IT AGAIN.
I had an LSPO account, LPS Biggest Adventure, and the Wii versions of LPS 2008 and LPS friends
Also that stupid Light game from Friends was a nightmare 😭
I had both the Plug-n-Play and Wii version of LPS Friends as a kid! loved them both to death honestly, Friends really scratched my brain just right when I was like 10
I was shaking and gripping my seat waiting for lps friends I LOVE THAT GAME SO MUCH!!!! Hearing the title song got me running around like an animal in its enclosure
I played lps and lps:friends on the my ds religiously as a child
The ost is ingrained into my mind
i still have the gameloft game on my phone, oh how happy it made me. one of my core memories was being 6, grinding to get a bunny rabbit animal thing while sitting on the couch in the living room with my dad coming home and my mom making macaroni.
the NOSTOLGIA i just got from those plug and play clips 😭😭😭❤❤❤
Omg I had the Biggest Adventure plug-and-play. Feels like a fever dream. I never thought I'd see it again
the new littlest pet shop game on roblox for g7 lacks so much compared to past lps games
The biggest adventure game brought back so much nostalgia I've been looking for that game forever 😭
i used to be OBSESSED with the lps plug and play game, especially the basketball minigame lmao
NO WAIT i had city friends on the ds as a kid and entirely forgot about it... i still love the character models
came here to reminisce about how i would pay that shell game constantly in lps friends thanks for reminding me
I'm that old to remember the LPS 90s cartoon, and yes, it aired in the UK, I also had the DS game of LPS
the amount of memories i got flushing back at me from the Littlest Pet Shop friends city ds version or whatever is insane, i LIVED that game as a kid, tried starting it up again but cant get it to work on my ds anymore tho, crying
I owned the LPS plug-n-play and it was one of my favorite things ever. I LOVED it. Played it until its death.
the sonic dark brotherhood jokes always hit so deep bc as a child i found it to be the most confusing game ever D:
I had the plug n play and tamogatchi. i was scared it wouldn't be on here. I'm sorry I doubted you, Shunks. So excited to see they were first. So nostalgic to see footage from the plug n' after so long. So happy for this video!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME THE NAME OF THE FAKE APP!! I MUST RELIVE MY CHILDHOOD!!!
I had the plug and play, friends on the ds, and purple team, I remember them all so vividly lol, I played the heck out of purple team man, that monkey minigame I remember went on forever. Those animations are all so charming to me
i had purple team as well! and yeah that monkey game was AWESOME! actually i still have the game, haven't played it in ages though
It was definitely before 2005 or very early 2005 at the latest
Edit: found it online! 2004. All the listings have listed as #9 white cat and #10 fish in a bowl. I was 4 or 5 depending on the month of the year. I hadn’t started kindergarten yet but I was born in September so I had to start late
will forever be distraught over losing my lps plug and play. we had a van with those little tvs n one day my mom put the game in the trunk and didn’t realize the cable was dragging across the thruway ❤️
i actually still have my LPS digital pet! i had no idea how it worked as a kid, and STILL have no idea how it works now. that game was borderline archaeic, but i adore it 💕
I wish I still had the LPS Tamagotchi game. Mine had a pig.
omg a new memory unlocked, I loved the lps android game such fun memories
I was enamored as a kid with those little digital LPS games. Same with that plug and play one, and the DS games of course. 😂😭
Came here for Littlest Pet Shop Friends for the Wii. I didn't really have the toys or anything else as a kid, but I did have that game and was obsessed with it (I think I still have it in my box of Wii games)
Seeing the city builder game was mad. I played that religiously as a little kid its so nostalgic to me i just want to go back and play it again.
I grew up owning Biggest Pets 3 with the horse and dog, and also had the Wii game as well! I remember playing it for hours just to beat the game, and collect everything in it. It brings back so many memories to think about, and with how happy it made me as a child!
