For those wondering how I played the old broswer games, there's a program called Flashpoint which has an archive of a ton of flash games. That's what I used for this video
55:24 Love how you slapped Wrong over your real life self when doing the tier list and talking about how you play as Applejack before Twilight with that funny spongebob sound effect.
Hearing that old 1998 my little pony computer game music almost made me cry. That game was one of my favorites growing up and I would waste hours doing all sorts of stuff in it when I was in elementary school. I haven't thought about it or the other computers games I played in years so thank you for reminding me of some good times from my childhood.
Oh my goodness same! I saw it in the thumbnail and I clicked immediately hahaha I’m not even a 90s kid, but I found it at a thrift store when I was around six or seven and I loved mlp so my dad bought the game for me :) I remember one time in the middle of playing I guess I got distracted and went outside to play for a few hours and when I got back my pony was looking extremely haggard 😭 it looked like she had one hoof in the grave!
pinkie pies party was one of my first ds games! i thought it was so fun. i emulated it recently on my pc and played it again for funsies. its.. definitely boring now looking back on it as a 19 year old but the nostalgia is definitely still there. the characters models are super cute too! the music is also nice.

The whole "pay more to get most of the game" thing in the budge games is pretty common with budge games in general. I remember playing a strawberry shortcake game by them and you could only play ONE LEVEL before paying for every other level.
They’re very greedy. I don’t understand why a kids game has to be paywalled that much. I had one of the Miss Hollywood games and at first they had two characters available, but a few months later it updated and the other character was paywalled, leaving only one available. I deleted the game after that because I didn’t want to spend 15 dollars on the full game.
There was a littlest pet shop version of the my little pony game loft game I honestly preferred but its no longer supported :((. You got to do little gum ball machine pulls to get new animals, and get little hosues i think based on real littlest pet shop house sales. It was a lot more fun to play, maybe because there was less quests? I wish it was updated so people could still play
The Stars in the Gameloft game used to be used for the shops. Back in the beginning you assign ponies to shops in order to get said bits and stuff. Some require specific star levels. But since the shops now don't need ponies, they're used as achievements. Though the Clear Sky Minigame Challenges do require 5 Star Ponies for the most points.
@@doplop Actually, you used to have to play the sky mini game every time you earned a star. I didn’t start playing the game until around 2018, but Microsoft has a really old version for PC.
Okay but the Leapfrog math game was such a throwback. When I saw the title of the video I was like "Hey is she going to talk about that weird math game I played on a knock off DS when I was little?" and low and behold. God, the memories.
I played the mlp gameloft game alll the time when I was little. There is definitely a lot more things to do. When I was little, it was so hard to save up gems and bits because I was pretty impatient and so I progressed very slowly. I made it up to the point of getting twilight’s castle and I was soo proud of myself. But a little while after that I didn’t play for a single day, and when I opened the game, it had reset to the very beginning. I was so sad I uninstalled the game. Thankfully my parents have always been strict on never paying for mobile games so I’m kind of a free to play expert. You see, around three months ago my younger sibling made me install the game so we could be friends (for the heart gems) and I was like “why not? I wonder if I’ll be able to reach when I was little” Lo and behold I succeeded, surpassed my younger self, and I’m now at level 84…. Haha… As someone who never spends money on these things the ads have been a godsend. I usually do something else while I watch them and the tips you gave out are great! Since I’m older and pretty busy, it’s nice to send my ponies on 7 hour tasks and then come back to get my rewards and seeing a new building complete after a long day.
One thing i hate about that game was thst they removed the sbility tk make an account, meaning that if your phone was broken or if you uninstall it, all your money would be gone (the money you use to pay for it)
My goodness, I ADORED Friendship Gardens as a child. I think it's a fairly big reason that G2 became one of my favourite generations. It may be simple, but it's such a gentle, calming game. I'd love to play it again if I am ever able to make it work, but I'd be a little worried that it'd take away some of the magic if I replayed it as an adult.
1:28:40 fun fact, the app actually worked with pictures too!, so if I didn't have the pony, I just went on the internet, select the pony of that collection with a stock image of the product with the mark visible, and boom I had the pony in the game
6:17 This was the era when I was big into the franchise. I find it funny that you were surprised about the "pet simulator" element because like... the point of the toys was that they were... well they were your little ponies! They were these magical creatures that you could take care of by brushing their hair and having them do fun activities and play games. That was really apparent in generation two because unlike the other generations there was no show or animated film to go along with it, so the game was designed to appeal to the people who were _exclusively_ interested in the toys. It was an attempt to emulate the experience of playing with your dolls but with added depth. Speaking of generation two, the way that they designed Celestia and Luna always reminded me of this game in particular; specifically the way that their hair seemed to ignore the rules of gravity and that their builds were slimmer and more stylized. In my honest opinion the toys in generation two were the prettiest and most detailed, excluding than some special releases in generation one (fuzzy flocked ponies, twinkle eyed ponies, princess ponies, sundae best ponies, and I'm _still_ besotted with the summering ponies which are just gorgeous). You know what? I take it back. The prettiest and most detailed ponies were either the summerwing ponies (the unique wings on each of them and how big/transparent they are is what does it) or the sweetheart sister ponies from generation one. I just can't get over their _shape_ it's like a cross between generation one and two and their _earrings._ If I saw one of those on a store shelf I would buy it just because they're so pretty.
the pony from 9:13 looks Exactly like Sunny Starscout. Even down to the eye color. Just the cutie mark is different. anyone think that particular pony might have inspired her design?
I mean, Sundance reminds of Sunny Starscout a lot, yes. Maybe inspiration was taken from Sundance's design, but we cannot know for sure. (Also, find it cute that they renamed her Sunsparkle after some time)
that's morning glory and she's actually more of a peach color so i wouldn't think so, not sure why that shot of her is so orange lol. you could honestly point to like 6 G3 ponies that have a closer resemblance to sunny (scootaloo, sparkleworks etc); i think it's more of a coincidence and that orange/pink/purple is just a REALLY popular palette with hasbro lmfao
@@retroradkat honestly, so many ponies look like Sunny Starscout, really I don’t think any of them inspired her. Expect for one called Sunny Salsa. That one is too similar.
I want to point out another reason the Budge games are incredibly scummy: no cloud saves. Even if you download with the Play Store, deleting a game from your phone means losing all progress. I put tens of hours into Pocket Ponies, and because I got bored of it for a bit and/or upgraded my phone and/or it came out of beta, all of that was gone. As scummy as the Gameloft monetisation is (and believe me, having sunk 100+ hours into that, it is), at least it has persistent saves. I absolutely adore the art style and enjoyed the game a lot, but I'm not starting from the beginning again.
Thank you so much for adding the names of the music you use when they start playing in the video. It really bothers me that a lot of youtubers use music without ever showing the name or linking the songs in the description because sometimes the music peaks my interest and I want to listen to it later, but I can never find it.
The one thing I couldn't stand about the Gameloft game was PARASPRITES. When you're forced to wait a day to recharge energy or your resources to finish, you're given parasprites in return. You can't even get enough shards in a day to combat the exponential growth of the parasprites per day you don't log in. And, eventually, you'd be unable to interact with any object in the game because the parasprites are covering them up, and every time you try to tap through the swarms, you're forced to go through the "use Elements of Harmony shards to get rid of the parasprites!" pop-up---but if you're completely broke on shards and real money, the game's essentially rendered unplayable (on top of the lag caused by parasprite overpopulation) PS: Holy cow, I didn't think to do the Google images hack for EG. Thank you for enlightening my younger self.
I always hated the parasprites too! Thankfully they never got *that* bad for me, but they were always a pain because they’d drain shards that I tried saving up, or barely get compared to the others. Honestly, it’d be better for it to force you to use a character to get rid of them (and of course wait for it to finish like everything else, and maybe they’d give you a shard or three based on the parasprite. But yeah, I have no idea if it’s still that bad, but it sucks that that can happen!
MLP Gameloft player here, level 113. Here's my tips for everything: Watch the daily 2 gem ads. It's worth it, I promise. Use skip ads on group quests that are either close to finishing or you're about to go to bed and you can get an ad in on. The ads are 180 minutes x1, 120 minutes x4, and then 60 until you run out of ads for the day. For story quests, if something costs alot of gems, use ad skips. YES The 81 ad ponies are worth it. You get gems and it's not all at once, it's 5 a day (and 1 for the final day) During sales, anything under 100 gems is good. Basically any pony is good for your counter since you can send more ponies out on group quests. Thats my hot tipz :p
46:39 I used to play that game before! It actually got associated with trauma because my mom was watching a horror show on Chromecast while i was playing it once. I caught a glimpse of a scene where someone's skin was melting off do to someone holding up their voodoo doll over an open flame, specifically the part where their face melted off and fell onto the floor. I was never able to play that game again after seeing that....i just got far too queasy everytime i thought about booting it up... It was very similar to the AppleJack cake one if you're wondering.
spoilers for the gameloft mobile game and warning! my thoughts are all over the place in this. i just needed to complain/bring it up The mobile game gets worse... some of the story quests start requiring you to spend gems on decor or buildings instead of only bits. The events are just rigged, you wont complete the big events that last a few days unless you have additional ponies, which most cost real money (and the prices are absolutely bonkers. way too pricey). the big main events usually have like 5 stages with 2 types, an afk clicker round style where you upgrade your gear with the saphires ( or whatever the currency is called in that event) and a stage where you "fight the boss" once you have enough stat boosts from upgrading your gear. The only way to progress faster is by having the additional ponies on your team and each clicker stage has different ponies that would increase your score. Basically, if you dont buy ponies to help you, you'll spend a lot of time on each stage and you wont make it to the end of the event. enjoy your single decoration item and like 2 gems from you left over currency. Theres also smaller events such as "defeat parasprites" or "combine decorations", some being an online leaderboard style where you earn points and your reward depends on how high you were onthe leader board and solo events where you just do the thing it asks like 20-30 times for 3 rewards. usually some harmony shards, heart crystals, gems, but not very many. The solo events are mostly fine but the online ones are pretty rigged against you, they also have the "pony to boost score" mechanic and its always some pony on special for like 20 bucks. Ive never finished an event where i got past the bottom reward, and trust me i really tried. People who buy the pony have a huge advantage. The events with the equestria girls rhythm game can also be pretty pay2win since you can boost your score so much with gems. Also those things you find around the map, in the sections you havent unlocked, are only around durring the main events, they give you the currency for the event and rarely, a gem. I was very confused when they stopped showing up as a new player, because they just dont tell you that the dirt piles are only around for events. you can also find derpy or spike around the map, derpy is always around and im not too sure about spike. ill go days without seeing him in his fedora, but when i do see him that free gem is warmly welcomed. after the harmony stones in ponyville are reclaimed the next statue things that need those shards are in the crystal empire, and the cost to unlock them is pretty upscaled. i recall needing around 400 laughter shards or so to unlock the one statue, so having totems going in the everfree forest at all times is a must. Ive also unlocked the ferris wheel, its not that great. you pay 6000bits and/or some harmony shards for 1 spin, and you almost always get a random decor item. Theres a button in game to show you your % chance of winning things, i believe decorations had about a 70% chance to be selected, ive yet to win anything other than a dumb bush or a pile of hay. they very recently released some very very late game content im no where near getting too in ponyville that expanded the map and added 2 new places to unlock. and oh my god the way the story just jumps around from plot to plot. We had nightmare moon in ponyville for ages and before you're even close to finishing that story (i STILL havent defeated nightmare moon, i got all the statues though) chrysalis in the changeling empire gives you discord ( who should be stone ) starlight glimmer ( dont even get me started on how season 1 villan and season 4 villian are just there), trixie and thorax ( havent even unlocked the crystal empire at that point) to make the changelings share love. (small tid bit theres a weird model that thorax uses in one of the tasks where he needs to distract some changelings, they just threw like every out fit in the game onto a trixie model. love it.) took forever to finish. tirek is just casually in the castle of the two sisters, hanging out.You can buy sunset shimmer and force her to live in canterlot, love that, who needs free will! im sure sunset shimmer wont miss the human world. sweet apple acers is constanly invaded by vampire bats, ponyville has parasprites, canterlot has changelings and they all cost harmony shards to remove. Almost forgot to mention that surring the everfree forest quests all the buildings and decorations in every other part of the game are covered in vines, which was a bit annoying for me perosnally and i dont even remember what gets rid of them. i watched so many ads.... mostly for a free cart in the minning, or for doubling rewards but sometimes id watch like 4-7 ads to skip a task that requires gems, since i would always be watching something else at the same time i didnt really care about the ads they show. some of them are a little weird and some are disturbing. Kept getting different ads for this cat game where a cat/kitten gets neglected/abused/hit by a car thats meant to hit you in the feels and always asks "save the kittne??" or "adopt them?" onewas just kittens in a box in the rain, antoher cat comes up and hang out with the other kitten and suddenly theres food! and the hungry kitten goes for it but oh no! the foods on the road!! and a car hits the cat. Another was a visibly drunk man with multiple bottles around him, playing around with the cat like a ragdoll then chucking it. then the same 10 second clip of a crappy merging game plays. Theres also this weird cat in that 10 second segment you never see in the previous video, its large and doesn't look right next to the other cat model. i dont really think that this should be shown to children? i would have cried seeing those kitties hurt, and to clarify there wasnt any blood or gore of course. Another strange ad i kept seeing was a wood block game that id played in the past and enjoyed, but the ad markets itself to old people who want to keep their brain smart. what old people are playing a mobile mlp game?? apparently enough for that company to pay for their ads on the game. A lot of the times after the ad played my game would crash, if i was watching to skip time in the group quests or to get a minecart/item in the pony leveling up games they would usually still give me the item without having to watch a new ad. but if i was doubling the reward for a task id need to watch another ad. That could just be an issue with my device though. Also i took one look at the ad pony needing 80ads and was like hell no. You'd think they'd at least count the ads you watch for other things but no. the ad needs to specifically be from the ad pony. the hotel is okay most of the time, requiring different things like 70 shards or 20k bits, a couple of a specific decoration, or like 25 of those items to recruit other ponies with (the ones you get from sending your ponies on tasks). ive only seen maybe 8 different ponies so far, and ive only unlocked the first 2 i saw, the first one just being the tutorial for the hotel. unlocking the crystal empire was a bit tricky, you had to send the main 6 on tasks for a specific item like 70 times. I havent even gotten close to unlocking klugetown from the mlp movie, which requires different characters. i think i have about 3 ponies that CAN be sent out for the item, and ive basically given up on it at this point. thanks for reading my crappy rambling about the mlp mobile game lmaooo
Thanks for sharing, I also still play it a lot to this day and most experiences are similar. The timed events are pretty bs, you're right but I always get so close and think I can make it. The ads are weird ( I for example get a money scam game ad like wtf how is this legal ) but I don't think that depends a lot on gameloft. I play it a bit differently tho because my phone does not have enough space for games and is getting pretty old ( but that shouldn't really be a problem ) so I installed Bluestacks, an android emulator, on my PC instead, so I play with mouse and things might be a bit easier but it's mostly the same. I still really enjoy it a lot despite the clear flaws you mentioned ( like the ad pony ) and play it daily. I also only started to play last year and got pretty far unlike people who have been playing since 2015 or something
I hate how the changeling kingdom's missions are literally just "assign the characters to do something for 5 hours and come back later" I hate it I hate the new system for the wheels that's the only thing that hooked me to the game while I was waiting for stuff to complete I would click around looking for wheels to find gems in the mines But no they removed that too there's no gems there at all anymore and past a certain amount of points it's just that annoying section that is the dogs and the annoying ass shadowbolts that never ends 😭😭 I don't mind not assigning ponies to jobs anymore and I like how there's ways to get ponies other than buying them but some tasks are like 2 hours with a low chance to get drops and you can only assign 1 or 2 ponies I remember in the old version it took me forever to get to everfree forest but in the new version I just got there within a few minutes like there's much better ways to add the plot from the latest seasons without cutting and rushing the whole story And good god they made EVERYTHING so much more expensive??? The stuff on minigames costed like 100/1000/5 gems and now the cheapest is like 3k why?? Not to mention EVERYTHING on canterlot is horribly expensive to start with and it's an area you unlock really early in the game (like the first one iirc) I don't like the group missions either. Why is everything just "wait 7 hours" with literally nothing else to do in the game? They also made the songs in the dancing minigame easier but it's a bit off timing (and for the love of god fix the end pose of the 3rd girl it looks like she's doing a f*cking salute) I had so much more on my mind to rant about too and I forgot lmao I'm glad other people still play this and are just as frustrated about this stuff as me
The multiple storylines from different seasons is what bothers me too. I had defeated Queen Chrysalis in the Changeling Kingdom, meanwhile she's attacking Canterlot when she's supposed to be dead LMAOOO
I know this is an absolutely silly thing to say, but it warms my heart to hear the Club Penguin DS EPF theme over MLP gameplay footage. Both series defined my childhood and having those two things combined put a stupid smile on my face :')
This video reminded me of so many memories I didn't even know I had. If someone came up to me and asked me if I knew/played "racing is magic" as a kid, I would have said no. But oh my god. The character selection screen. the screen that tells you what everything is. THE ANIMATION OF PINKIE LOOKING DOWN AT HERSELF AS SHE WALKS THROUGH A PUDDLE. oh my god
Hi, person who played a lot of Friendship Gardens as a child here. I went back and played on an emulator last year and wanted to point out some stuff you missed, including the ending. The jumping isn't too hard. The secret is to start with just one fence and lure the pony to jump by putting food on the other side. Once you do that a few times you can move onto two fences. Soon after your pony will jump both and then they get upgraded to taller fences. Rinse and repeat until the pony jumps over both of them and you'll earn a ribbon for her jumping. Once you earn the ribbon you can then get the games ending. I'm not sure the exact parameters but you need to get your pony to cross over the bridge towards the village. If they do that the stupid butterfly narrator will tell you your pony's accomplished all they can here and are ready to... leave? Your pony then ascends into the sky and is GONE FOREVER. I can't put into words who confused and annoyed I was when I finally discovered this years after originally playing. Then you just get told to make a new pony and it loops indefinitely.
A fascinating watch. I'm a millenial who casually watched My Little Pony Tales and the original show because they were cartoons, and only joined in FiM late in the game. Watching this has been an insight into a whole world that has just passed me by, not just in terms of the games themselves, but in the way they were played- Plug and Plays and mobile games utterly passed me by, and while I was aware of and played browser games in my earliest internet days I eventually moved on as I got the money to play console games instead. An entire world of more or less "free" games seem to have been the primary world in which My Little Pony has existed and thrived, judging by the sheer amount of games for gen 3 which I am utterly ignorant of. So yeah- watching this has not only shown me there are fans of quality enough to get Yak OC's instead of just ponies, but also that MLP has a history in gaming that goes far beyond what I was expecting, and that I am fascinated by how little of it is on formats I consider the "main" ones. If anything I now really do wonder why Hasbro was so hesitant on putting money on console MLP games- even "just" plain old DS or 3DS or Wii games, if they didn't want to do "full on" big console stuff. Even if it's as backwards and simple as "boys play video games so we'll just send our boy-franchise there" (Transformers have had a few games out even before the Bayformers), you'd think they'd still see profits made by Disney from Disney Princess games in NIntendo's portables etc and go "ah but THAT'S a market we can break into!" Or were they just so satisfied with minimum budget online games? It is a mystery which unfolds before me, and I feel a burning urge for answers that I won't get. PIty, but that's how it goes. At least your video was cool and informative!
This is entirely unrelated but your music taste is so based, I always love your background music. This one starting with Mako Mart and THEN later you played the EPF main theme? So incredible. Outstanding. You're amazing.
I played the Gameloft one when I was 12 and I agree with you, it was really overwhelming for a kids' game. I remember playing that game every single day after class, grinding for hours but still barely got any money to buy new stuff. After I got the castle I stopped playing because I just couldn't keep up with it.
Okay as someone who played basically all of the gen 4 flash fgames, I remember for the Cantorlot wedding episode the applejack cake maker was playable with a vote for what cake they would use for the episode. Of course, it wasn't some 7 yr old's cake but a choice of pre drawn cakes. I remember spamming this one cake and it was the one they ended up using, lol. There was a whole part of the website for the wedding, and I remember it being super hyped up. Same with the dress making game, you'd play it and vote what dress you wanted. Dj Pinkie pie maybe had it? I really don't remember. (edit, the city building game used to take so long to load. It would take 45 minutes to load and my mom had a pretty good phone for the time.)
Huh, it’s cool to discover how the show had moments of interaction from the community. I like it when shows let you vote on something, even if it may not end well (or is very minor in general). I remember hearing SpongeBob had an episode where people could vote on its ending, I think it was the one where they find the Flying Dutchman (after seeing the anchor from the sky), but I don’t remember the name. Also, yikes, never knew how slow the game loft game took to load. Would it happen after you unlocked and placed too many items, or was it just in general?
The g3 games are insanely nostalgic especially the cake makers omg... also holy shit that wow wow wubzy game. Me and my sister were obsessed with that thing lol despite never having seen the show
39:06 THIS. I loved this Ponyville flash game. Since you didn't touch on it more, you played mini games to prepare for a pony's birthday party, then you had a party and opened gifts. It was so cool to small me. It updated the birthday pony every month, and was ELATED when Minty's birthday month was the same as mine, as she has always been my favorite!
Seeing the Friendship Gardens pony in the thumbnail was like getting SLEDGEHAMMERED with core memories. My childhood hours on the CD-ROM games could probably put the most no-life Steam profile to shame istg 😭
i remember playing the g4 browser games and either taking them WAY too seriously or trying my best to make the ugliest cake/dress/pony/etc. those were the good times
I remember playing the one mlp town builder as a kid and was allowed to spend money. That was around the time the game updated for the end of season 4. (Note I was like 13-14 around this time) I got pretty far with what I was allowed to get and was able to finish the wedding quests (Candace you had to buy with gems) and I finished most of the season 4 quests. But literally a day later, the game reset most of my progress even progress that I didnt buy. My mom had to contact customer service three times cause it kept happening even if I didnt spend anything at this point. And thats the reason I never went back
The g3 flash games are permanently burned into my memory. You didn't play them, but I can still hear in my head "THROW A LUAU NOW" and "It's Toola Roola! It's Starsong!"
I could go on a whole rant about the Gameloft MLP app and how it changed through the years. Specifically, the leveling system was from being able to put ponies in the shops to make the money, but I’m thinking they thought this was too complex or whatever and removed it. ALSO DID THE SAME WITH THE SCANNING THE CODES FROM MY COMPUTER LOL
God, that first big mobile game. I played it when it was fresh and new and I remember for a while there was a "Totally Free!" version that was available only from the Amazon store or whatever and it was legit... so, of course, that version was discontinued after a while. I miss it.
The amount of time and effort you must have put into this is astonishing! Thank you so much Shunks for working so hard to make us, your audience happy and entertained :D (I'm gonna go watch the vid now)
For MLP Gameloft take it from someone who is level 93, story quests or “campaign” will run out after you finish getting Luna or you save the empire or you host the canterlot wedding. That’s why the developers added the weekly story with the sapphires and other weird currency’s to complete it for the week. If you need more XP go to the crystal empire (if you have it unlocked) and buy the little trees or bushes for I think 40XP (MAKE SURE YOU CAN SELL THEM) and just keep repeating the process. Also they sell back for half the price you buy them so make sure you got bits for it (Every level up especially the higher you are the more bits and gems you get) It’s long and annoying but it’ll level you up quickly. Comment if you want so more tips
@@cornfalkflakecorncornflickepic You can either use gems which I highly don't recommend save those as much as you can, or you can watch ads to make the time go down a little bit, or last resort walk away from the game for a fat while I know it's annoying but that's how Gameloft has changed it to be lately
This video unlocked memories I didn't know I had! I remembered playing the town builder game and the Pinkie Pie's Party DS game, but I didn't remember the dance studio flash game or Explore Equestria at all and I DEFINITELY played those
I remember playing Friendship Gardens a lot when I was younger. I didn't remember it being a MLP game until a few years ago. All I remembered of the game was feeding my pony pizza and it hating green apples.
I played Friendship Gardens so much as a baby. I was too young to really understand what was going on. When I eventually figured it out and sent my pony away, I was so bummed! Also the poorly mixed super-loud sound effects scared me so bad
God i've missed this style of video, its weirdly reminiscent of old PBG n Jontron videos. ... and i loved seeing the games and learning more mlp trivia! awesome vid!
This was so nostalgic and fun! You’re getting me back into drawing ponies again as I watch your videos. Also you’re GORGEOUS??? Thank you for this - I’ll definitely be re-watching.
I didn't expect to get emotional over Friendship Gardens. It's the only MLP game I played as a kid and I absolutely adored it. Watching the footage just sent a wave of nostalgia over me.
Finally watched through all of this! I knew about the G2 PC game and the G3 games but I never knew MLP had so many browser/mobile games. I also hope G5 gets more console games in the future. I think it was a missed opportunity with G4 not having any besides the leapfrog game, especially when another popular cartoon at the time was getting so many, being Adventure Time. I guess Hasbro just didn't see it being worth the investment compared to just releasing mobile and browser games.
Surprisingly! I remember myself enjoying the castle/card creator a lot. It was like a mini cartoon creator, that was very simple. And I remember making some scenarios with it. Later I realised that I could do the same in powerpoint, which was great!
i played friendship garden so much as a kid! the trick i did to make the pony jump over the fences was to place an apple at the end; the pony will always try to get to the apple and it makes her jump over the fences. if you kept feeding the pony green apples and refuse her sleep (you can just lock the gate so she doesnt walk into her home) she would become sad and then later angry and make the funniest grumpy expression. the game would tell you that ponies that went on to adventures would send you a letter, i never recieved a letter from all the various ponies i released over the rainbow. thank you for the nostalgia!
As someone who obsessed over the game loft game for years when I was younger and recently got obsessed w/ it again, here are some tips I have: (Note, I wouldn’t say I’m an expert or anything of the sort. This is just a strategy that works for me that keeps me enjoying the game without having to spend any real money.) 1: only spend gems when: A, the item is on sale. Refrain from purchasing anything at its full gem price unless it’s necessary for a story quest. A good handful of things you can buy with gems are also available through things like balloon pop 2: watch the ads for the pony that needs 81 ads. You can only watch 5 a day for them and you’ll often be given the whole month to reach that 81 ad requirement. I often do something else with my phone to the side while I let the ads play. 3: uncovered open space will spawn obstacles. Try to put decor in the middle of larger open spaces to prevent the spawning of large boulders that cost a fair amount of bits to remove and will hinder your building. 4: don’t cover all open spaces, as you will need space to allow parasprites and similar creatures to spawn. You should also wait to remove them unless they’re in the way of your building. Removing parasprites will pop up as story quest requirements and I’ve found they don’t spawn as often as I’d like. 5: don’t be afraid to dump all your bits uncovering space in the everfree. You’ll need all the harmony shards you can get, and that’s the best place to get them. 6: don’t spend energy on events your not confident you can win a reward in unless they give you something for simply trying. For example I often skip out on the clear sky events. That’s all I can think of atm, but feel free to ask any questions and I’ll try my best to answer!
I knew 'maritime bay day adventure' wasn't going to be anything spectacular, but I got it anyways cause its pretty fun though sunny feels a bit slippery when using her skates, but that might be a thing with the switch or just mine. Regardless I loved little bits of lore and glad to see sprout not just written off as gone when the youtube series even recognizes his mom.
"ATTENTION: The My Little Pony Puzzle Party app will be removed from the Play Store on 5/25/17 and will no longer be available for download" yes, that's some lost media thing right here.
I love these stupidly long insane topic videos, they're so much fun and so interesting! I can see you've put a lot of effort into them, they're so well researched x
Just letting you know that in game loft mlp game, there’s a single character that costs $100 dollars. Only one character. No other rewards, just a creepy looking flurry heart. $100 dollars.
The most insane part of Maretime Bay Adventure is how broken multiplayer is. The herding and flight games were fine, but for some reason the rhythm game was out of sync in multiplayer mode, and in the skate game, my friend was somehow controlling both her pony and mine.
Finally, someone who’s not a fan of Budge’s stuff! Believe it or not, it was so much worse with the Thomas stuff. Each of the characters were like 2 dollars a piece. And there were a lot of them. I think you could unlock everything for like $15, but it’s like that thing where it’s $10 for 3 watermelons and $3 for 1 where they trick you to buy 3 watermelons instead of 1.
wow, this whole video was a huge nostalgia trip. I had forgotten entirely about friendship gardens until watching this, I used to play it every day as a kid! I have this vivid memory of having to wait for the apples to turn red on the trees, but not understanding that concept for some reason as a little kid, so I'd always give her the apple when it was green and she'd get sick, oops.
Very nostalgic to see you play Friendship Gardens; it was one of the first PC games I ever played! Also, you can get the pony to jump over the hurdles by placing food behind them, starting with one small one, then more small ones, eventually building up to one larger one and then two larger ones. Also Skylanders video when. I beg of you.
Random fact: On an Amazon tablet kids tablet you can play Harmony quest with no in-game purchases and no adds, making all of the main six free, which is nice.
You could also talk about fan games in an other video but it could be hard since FLASH got shut down. I do feel that there always has been and still are games for girls that are super dumbed down and simplified as if girls cant play games or don't want action. I would love top see girls franchises break away from that and do open world action RPG life sims
1:11:57 Y'KNOW as someone who didnt grow up with MLP and also as someone who has been binging your videos the past week i gotta say: MLP FiM's art style looks a LOT like a browser kids' based virtual world lol. like really it does. the stock ponies who are mostly the same one or two bases with some clothes cutie-marks, manes, ect switched around, the fact we often see the same town areas which would have made perfect hub worlds similiar to the plaza from club penguin, all the little holiday versions of those hubs we get, like how a lot of kids virtual worlds change the decor for christmas. it just OOZES that early 2010s kids virtual world energy so hard. could see a lot of these games in this video being mini games where you earn coins lol. honestly really surprised they never made a browser kids virtual world game like that. though maybe its a good thing given how some bronies would inevitably ERP in it. still would have been a huge hit undoubtably.
If you're curious, to get your pony to jump over the hurdles you have to put food on the other side to motivate them. Once you get your pony able to jump over the hurdles separately you can put the food in front of both hurdles and they'll jump over both.
I had the PC Play Pack! I played it all the time as a kid on my mom’s first laptop. I’ve always wanted to try to see if I can get that laptop working because I really want to play it again lmao. I remember all the tasks, minigames, and even sound effects. I spent hours working on cakes because I wanted them as perfect as possible.
tbh i thought, for what it was, the ending they gave sprout in the game actually was way better than the ending in the actual movie. Like, sure, the stakes were entirely lower, but he seemed way more like able to have sympathy and be someone worth redeeming or not writing out of the show. plus his response to the main 5 at the end made it seem way more like he had a tough home life, literally shouting "dont hurt me" while curled up in a pile on the floor, making it way more understandable why he would act the way he does all the time; not that anything was ever explicitly said, it was just a hint of something that i latched onto because he gets nothing of the sort in the movie.
I remember playing the Gameloft My Little Pony game when it first came out, it was a pretty fun and cute little city building game, there’s certainly a lot more to do in it now, but I have not played the game in a very long time because one day, I was very high level in the game and far into the game, I don’t remember how far but I was able to defeat Queen Chrysalis, and then when I opened the game one day, all my progress was lost! 😭 Everything had reset to the very beginning! I was so disheartened by this loss of progress that I never tried to play the game again to this day, especially with all of this new content and limited time events that I would never have enough time to finish to get limited time only ponies!
Oh my goodness! Seeing you bring up butterfly island adventure was such a surprise! I genuinely thought I had dreamed up the game's existence as a kid. Fun to see it here.
It was what I played back in 2006 along with the Pony Dance Studio, Ponyville Forever: Scene Creator & that Furby game, all of it was on Hasbro's website. I also went on an old Yahoo Geosites page called The Chao Island (not Hippotank's Chao Island)
I'm honestly so happy you made this video, I've never realized how much official MLP games there are. The fact that there is so many cool ones, yet so badly made ones... I don't know. I'm just really happy that you got me back into MLP! I've never realized how much I look up to you 💛
I think you may have missed one of the G4 mobile games. It was a Toy Blast clone game with Discord as the protagonist. It had over 100 levels, and if I'm remembering correctly it actually got sued by Toy Blast for actually using some of their code. My Little Pony: Puzzle Party
My mom had Pinkie Pie’s Party on her DS for me to play when I was little. I don’t remember anything from the game but you talking through it seemed vaguely familiar. Mainly the artstyle, because I completely forgot everything about the actual game, possibly because I was like 3 and couldn’t read to do any of the tasks lol. But this was a pleasant blast from the past.
This video filled me with so much nostalgia, I love it! I remember playing most (if not all, i think there's only 2 games I either never played or played once) of the Gen 4 games all day every day! Also even if it's a fan game I'm glad you mentioned Explore Ponyville, I used to love that one ♡
its so nice to finally have visuals to match my spotty childhood memories :)! i remember searching for info on the pc party pack and runaway rainbow game based on memory and not being able to find anything online
The toy to life feature kinda reminded me of a Lego game my brother used to play from Nexo Knights, god it was really just a way to get kids to buy toys😭 until we decided to cheat and scan the shields from the boxes without buying any of them lol
When I was younger those Applejack cake and Rarity dress making games were my lifeblood. If I wasn’t playing Coolmath Games or drawing on MS Paint in the computer room at my school I was damn well making some banger dresses for Cadence.
Honestly made me happy to see you praise Pinkie Pies party. I used to play that game as a kid and looking back it was genuinely really a charming game. I also remember a littlest pet shop one I used to play?? But I might even still have that one.
6:24 HOLY SHIT I've had vague memories of playing this game all my life but I didn't know how to find it later so I nearly thought I'd dreamt it. I think I only remember it bc my rejection-sensitive child mind got traumatized bc I'd somehow made the pony upset, bc that is the only thing I remember lmao. But I specifically remember she got mopey bc I found her during a game of hide and seek. No idea if that part's true or just my kid brain misinterpreting things.
also FWIW, the MLP Gameloft game was on the Amazon app store at one time as a free game .. so it took out some of the real money and ad stuff and let you just play. I played it for a long time back in the day and you are right, it just got to complicated with successive levels of in game currency, collectables, busy work like harvesting bits from the businesses ... playing the damn mine cart and ball toss minigames over and over and over to level up my ponies. It all just got too bloated.
For those wondering how I played the old broswer games, there's a program called Flashpoint which has an archive of a ton of flash games. That's what I used for this video
Take it back, Over the Hedge on PS2 slaps better than it has any right to.
hiii do you like courage the cowardly dog
OMG YES I CAN FINALLY FIND MY CHILDHOOD MLP FLASH GAMES
55:24 Love how you slapped Wrong over your real life self when doing the tier list and talking about how you play as Applejack before Twilight with that funny spongebob sound effect.
@@acesartgallery9117 I had it on PC, man was it a lot of fun.
It bothers me still that MLP: FiM never got a full fledged game for console or pc. It would have been perfect for an rpg or something
I remember people working on fan RPG games, but they probably didn't get very far.
I swear I remember at one point Wayforward were in talks with Hasbro to give G4 its own game for handhelds but the ideas fell through.
And I really want a Console Game for Equestria Girls!
@@neptuniamarina4924 ngl a wayforward mlp game would've been cool think Shantae but with ponies
Same!!! I would’ve loved something like that.
13:36 "why does this pony game from 2004 have more inclusive hair options than picrew makers" LMAO that's actually true
i'm surprised you didn't mention how insane the price of bundles are, ESPECIALLY when they're advertised being 80% off
That's Gameloft for you
They’re just making it seem like a better deal.
They’re just as desperate for money as Budge is.
BAHAHAHAAGAGS FRRR OMG

1:00:05 honestly surprised you didn't point out Apple Jack is cross-eyed here, I honestly can't stop giggling about that

"Pinkie Pie's Party" and "A Maretime Bay Adventure" are the only mlp video games i've ever played, but i enjoyed them nonetheless.
For me pinkie pie’s party was peak childhood for me honestly
pinkie pies party was one of my first ds games! i thought it was so fun. i emulated it recently on my pc and played it again for funsies. its.. definitely boring now looking back on it as a 19 year old but the nostalgia is definitely still there. the characters models are super cute too! the music is also nice.
I remember when my sister used to play Pinkie Pie's Party when she had the Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS when me and her were little
I still have pinkie pies party for some reason
Not that i'm complaining, but i'm curious how and or why does your comment have the most likes on this video???

That's a ton of games to play now))
The whole "pay more to get most of the game" thing in the budge games is pretty common with budge games in general. I remember playing a strawberry shortcake game by them and you could only play ONE LEVEL before paying for every other level.
Almost eve rygame from budge is pay to win
Same with miss Hollywood, but with the pets. I remember only being able to decorate one room, until the vacation one where I got to decorate 2!
They’re very greedy. I don’t understand why a kids game has to be paywalled that much.
I had one of the Miss Hollywood games and at first they had two characters available, but a few months later it updated and the other character was paywalled, leaving only one available. I deleted the game after that because I didn’t want to spend 15 dollars on the full game.
bude is accually the creator of one of the games i played when i was younger. i was looking fir thouse so thanks ig
Same with Tabtale
There was a littlest pet shop version of the my little pony game loft game I honestly preferred but its no longer supported :((. You got to do little gum ball machine pulls to get new animals, and get little hosues i think based on real littlest pet shop house sales. It was a lot more fun to play, maybe because there was less quests? I wish it was updated so people could still play
Omg I remember that game! I used to play it a lot when I was 12 :0 it was so fun
I remember that! I was wondering where it went when I wanted to play it again.
unlocked memory
I REMEMBER THAT GAME
You can play, but only on Android. Or an Android emulator.
It makes it more convenient tbh and you have alternative ways to get characters I just wish they kept the mine minigame system the same :(
That takes me back
wait i thought the sky minigame was just what happened when they reached 5 stars?
@@doplop Actually, you used to have to play the sky mini game every time you earned a star. I didn’t start playing the game until around 2018, but Microsoft has a really old version for PC.
@@doplop I'm talking about the ones in the Events Tab,
Okay but the Leapfrog math game was such a throwback.
I wonder if I’ll be able to reach when I was little”
Lo and behold I succeeded, surpassed my younger self, and I’m now at level 84…. Haha…
As someone who never spends money on these things the ads have been a godsend. I usually do something else while I watch them and the tips you gave out are great!
Since I’m older and pretty busy, it’s nice to send my ponies on 7 hour tasks and then come back to get my rewards and seeing a new building complete after a long day.
One thing i hate about that game was thst they removed the sbility tk make an account, meaning that if your phone was broken or if you uninstall it, all your money would be gone (the money you use to pay for it)
OMG! That happened to me! I saved up and got Rainbow Dash all on my own, and my account got reset as well :(
I don't remember it too well, but I think my game reset too! I wonder if that was a common issue.
@@gummywormee41 i play this game more than 5 years and i still have my old account. It is linked to my google play

@@evevoli true, but also the eyes tho.
@@retroradkat honestly, so many ponies look like Sunny Starscout, really I don’t think any of them inspired her. Expect for one called Sunny Salsa. That one is too similar.
you mean 08:55
I want to point out another reason the Budge games are incredibly scummy: no cloud saves. Even if you download with the Play Store, deleting a game from your phone means losing all progress. I put tens of hours into Pocket Ponies, and because I got bored of it for a bit and/or upgraded my phone and/or it came out of beta, all of that was gone. As scummy as the Gameloft monetisation is (and believe me, having sunk 100+ hours into that, it is), at least it has persistent saves. I absolutely adore the art style and enjoyed the game a lot, but I'm not starting from the beginning again.
the second the mlp friendship garden music started playing nostalgia hit me like a bus 🥺 id like to replay it it was my favorite as a kid
Hi are you from poland?
I really like that the Gameloft game has characters from the comics. That's what I respect, they did the homework.
yeah, for example one of the enemies in the crowns and chaos event was cosmos from the comics
I like that.
And, eventually, you'd be unable to interact with any object in the game because the parasprites are covering them up, and every time you try to tap through the swarms, you're forced to go through the "use Elements of Harmony shards to get rid of the parasprites!" pop-up---but if you're completely broke on shards and real money, the game's essentially rendered unplayable (on top of the lag caused by parasprite overpopulation)
PS: Holy cow, I didn't think to do the Google images hack for EG.
They should have included a Max/Cap for the Parasprites. Like only a certain amount can exist at a given time.
MLP Gameloft player here, level 113.
Here's my tips for everything:
Watch the daily 2 gem ads.
You get gems and it's not all at once, it's 5 a day (and 1 for the final day)
During sales, anything under 100 gems is good. Basically any pony is good for your counter since you can send more ponies out on group quests.
Thats my hot tipz :p
Also some of the weekly events offer gem shops, which are averagely 2 gems per 24 hours.
I love it the storyline spans all the seasons heheh
46:39 I used to play that game before! It actually got associated with trauma because my mom was watching a horror show on Chromecast while i was playing it once.
I caught a glimpse of a scene where someone's skin was melting off do to someone holding up their voodoo doll over an open flame, specifically the part where their face melted off and fell onto the floor.
I was never able to play that game again after seeing that....i just got far too queasy everytime i thought about booting it up...
It was very similar to the AppleJack cake one if you're wondering.
spoilers for the gameloft mobile game and warning! my thoughts are all over the place in this. i just needed to complain/bring it up
The mobile game gets worse... some of the story quests start requiring you to spend gems on decor or buildings instead of only bits.
I hate how the changeling kingdom's missions are literally just "assign the characters to do something for 5 hours and come back later" I hate it
I hate the new system for the wheels that's the only thing that hooked me to the game while I was waiting for stuff to complete I would click around looking for wheels to find gems in the mines
But no they removed that too there's no gems there at all anymore and past a certain amount of points it's just that annoying section that is the dogs and the annoying ass shadowbolts that never ends 😭😭
I don't mind not assigning ponies to jobs anymore and I like how there's ways to get ponies other than buying them but some tasks are like 2 hours with a low chance to get drops and you can only assign 1 or 2 ponies
I remember in the old version it took me forever to get to everfree forest but in the new version I just got there within a few minutes like there's much better ways to add the plot from the latest seasons without cutting and rushing the whole story
And good god they made EVERYTHING so much more expensive??? The stuff on minigames costed like 100/1000/5 gems and now the cheapest is like 3k why?? Not to mention EVERYTHING on canterlot is horribly expensive to start with and it's an area you unlock really early in the game (like the first one iirc)
I don't like the group missions either. Why is everything just "wait 7 hours" with literally nothing else to do in the game? They also made the songs in the dancing minigame easier but it's a bit off timing (and for the love of god fix the end pose of the 3rd girl it looks like she's doing a f*cking salute)
I had so much more on my mind to rant about too and I forgot lmao I'm glad other people still play this and are just as frustrated about this stuff as me
Its actually 950 laughter shards for one of the crystal ponies so.... yeah....
That sucks. I used to love playing the mobile game as a kid
THE ANIMATION OF PINKIE LOOKING DOWN AT HERSELF AS SHE WALKS THROUGH A PUDDLE. oh my god
Same! I had forgotten about so many of these!
Your old ponies send you postcards in the mail
not gonna lie, in the first game, Sundance has really smooth dancing in it, I was really impressed.
I had Pinkie Pie's Party and I remembered playing that all the time and never getting bored lmao
Omg same! It's such a nostalgic game. I was really sad when I lost the game card.
Ah yes the 3 genders pink blue and preschoolers
I miss it.
I'm not even kidding when you revealed 90% of the G4 games I audibly gasped from nostalgia! 7 year old me played the heck out of these
The amount of time and effort you must have put into this is astonishing! Thank you so much Shunks for working so hard to make us, your audience happy and entertained :D
(I'm gonna go watch the vid now)
For MLP Gameloft take it from someone who is level 93, story quests or “campaign” will run out after you finish getting Luna or you save the empire or you host the canterlot wedding.
How do I wait for klugetown directions, group quest story points, and tasks
@@cornfalkflakecorncornflickepic You can either use gems which I highly don't recommend save those as much as you can, or you can watch ads to make the time go down a little bit, or last resort walk away from the game for a fat while I know it's annoying but that's how Gameloft has changed it to be lately
@@kangarueroo oh
This video unlocked memories I didn't know I had! I remembered playing the town builder game and the Pinkie Pie's Party DS game, but I didn't remember the dance studio flash game or Explore Equestria at all and I DEFINITELY played those
Same!!
I remember playing Friendship Gardens a lot when I was younger. I didn't remember it being a MLP game until a few years ago. All I remembered of the game was feeding my pony pizza and it hating green apples.
That was probably my first experience with MLP now that I think about it.
I love that you used the Phineas and Ferb game as the example of "mediocre ds game" lmao
i had that game as a kid and i hated it so much
@@angelicpretty777 they deserved so much better (ノಥ益ಥ)ノ
I have it and it’s kinda fun but short af lmaoooo
Adventures In Ponyville and the Gameloft mobile game were my faves. I used to be incredibly anxious about failing in the former.
I played all these early G4 games this really brought me back.
Not sure why Toy Story 2 is used as an example of a "rushed, boring experience" here when it's possibly the most expansive licensed game ever.
I played Friendship Gardens so much as a baby. I was too young to really understand what was going on. When I eventually figured it out and sent my pony away, I was so bummed! Also the poorly mixed super-loud sound effects scared me so bad
I understand why the pony traveled over the rainbow bridge now…
God i've missed this style of video, its weirdly reminiscent of old PBG n Jontron videos. ... and i loved seeing the games and learning more mlp trivia! awesome vid!
I remember when I would play Pinkie Pie's Party on my brother's DS. It was the first game I ever beat, and it has a special place in my heart ^^
Yea, Hasbro seemed to not care about Friendship is Magic.
If only that pop pony game had a Trixie option that way people can make the half twilight half Trixie creature from Fallout Equestria
The Goddess?
@@steampunk-llama yup
For the Goddess you'd need 2 extra unicorns with Gedtalt and Mosaic
Surprisingly! I remember myself enjoying the castle/card creator a lot. It was like a mini cartoon creator, that was very simple. And I remember making some scenarios with it. Later I realised that I could do the same in powerpoint, which was great!
i really loved the mobile game where there was the equestria girls rythmn game lol
as well as the actual equestria girls game lol
i played friendship garden so much as a kid! the trick i did to make the pony jump over the fences was to place an apple at the end; the pony will always try to get to the apple and it makes her jump over the fences. if you kept feeding the pony green apples and refuse her sleep (you can just lock the gate so she doesnt walk into her home) she would become sad and then later angry and make the funniest grumpy expression. the game would tell you that ponies that went on to adventures would send you a letter, i never recieved a letter from all the various ponies i released over the rainbow. thank you for the nostalgia!
The one where Nightmare moon covers Equestria with darkness is the one I played the most.
As someone who obsessed over the game loft game for years when I was younger and recently got obsessed w/ it again, here are some tips I have:
(Note, I wouldn’t say I’m an expert or anything of the sort. This is just a strategy that works for me that keeps me enjoying the game without having to spend any real money.)
1: only spend gems when: A, the item is on sale. Refrain from purchasing anything at its full gem price unless it’s necessary for a story quest. A good handful of things you can buy with gems are also available through things like balloon pop
2: watch the ads for the pony that needs 81 ads.
(Friend code is 152908 if y’all want some hearts ;)
I knew 'maritime bay day adventure' wasn't going to be anything spectacular, but I got it anyways cause its pretty fun though sunny feels a bit slippery when using her skates, but that might be a thing with the switch or just mine. Regardless I loved little bits of lore and glad to see sprout not just written off as gone when the youtube series even recognizes his mom.
"ATTENTION: The My Little Pony Puzzle Party app will be removed from the Play Store on 5/25/17 and will no longer be available for download"
yes, that's some lost media thing right here.
$100 dollars.
i play the game, and ONE task took 12 hours to complete
@@kelmoment God, don’t get me started on the tasks. Mental.
Dudeee- THE BROWSER GAMES I REMEMBER-
You have unlocked those memories again for me, thank you thank you
The most insane part of Maretime Bay Adventure is how broken multiplayer is.
I'm shocked at how many of these I remember. I'm also shocked that some of them are ones I'd actually go back and play if I had the chance.
I had The Runaway Rainbow on the PC! Most of my memories involve just exploring the environment and clicking the screen to see the sparkle effect.
wow, this whole video was a huge nostalgia trip.
1:11:57 Y'KNOW
as someone who didnt grow up with MLP and also as someone who has been binging your videos the past week i gotta say:
MLP FiM's art style looks a LOT like a browser kids' based virtual world lol. like really it does. the stock ponies who are mostly the same one or two bases with some clothes cutie-marks, manes, ect switched around, the fact we often see the same town areas which would have made perfect hub worlds similiar to the plaza from club penguin, all the little holiday versions of those hubs we get, like how a lot of kids virtual worlds change the decor for christmas. it just OOZES that early 2010s kids virtual world energy so hard. could see a lot of these games in this video being mini games where you earn coins lol.
honestly really surprised they never made a browser kids virtual world game like that. though maybe its a good thing given how some bronies would inevitably ERP in it. still would have been a huge hit undoubtably.
I've never realized how much I look up to you 💛
You are honestly the best my little pony youtuber. I love your videos sm, and I’m very excited for a 2 hour one
I think you may have missed one of the G4 mobile games. It was a Toy Blast clone game with Discord as the protagonist. It had over 100 levels, and if I'm remembering correctly it actually got sued by Toy Blast for actually using some of their code. My Little Pony: Puzzle Party
A 2 hour Shunk video?! Oh boy where’s my popcorn!
you’re telling me explore ponyville was fake this whole time
Yes 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Shunks probably IS America's favourite Yak let's be honest
38:40 Ponyville Forever is a flash game that was key to my childhood that i forgot existed. i applaud you for reminding me of it
When I was younger those Applejack cake and Rarity dress making games were my lifeblood.
Right when I saw it I swear I thought it was a fever dream but I guess it was real
also FWIW, the MLP Gameloft game was on the Amazon app store at one time as a free game .. so it took out some of the real money and ad stuff and let you just play.
I played it for a long time back in the day and you are right, it just got to complicated with successive levels of in game currency, collectables, busy work like harvesting bits from the businesses ... playing the damn mine cart and ball toss minigames over and over and over to level up my ponies.
It all just got too bloated.
Very impressive that you've played most of this and also impressive to see such a lenghty video of them. I really enjoyed it!
Friendships Gardens was me and my sisters FAVORITE game on the PC as kids!!! We used to play it for hour's and hours together as often as we could 😅
