  • I received an email from Uber this morning that they are lowering delivery pay per mile by 35%. Per-mile rates have now been cut over 50% in less than 10 months. And still no tips!

      LOL... though I will say Ubereats seems to have Boost pricing available now. I'm gonna have to try it again and see if I can use that to my advantage. But overall, I think DoorDash and Postmates are better options. Thanks for watching!! :)

    The upside to Uber Eats is that food will not vomit in your car nor do back-seat driving.

    Have continued doing deliveries have done about 12 now in New Orleans. Delivery fees are horrible after Uber takes there 35% cut and I remove my expenses I'm making sweat shop money. We need labor protection laws for these gig economy companies. This is criminal.

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +1

      Yes, we do need more protections. But until that happens, we must make the best decisions for us. Have you considered other options instead of Ubereats?

      I think it's still a good idea to get an account and be sure it's a separate profile from uber x. I have 4 profiles - uber x, uber eats, uber eats instant and uber x/uber eats. I went to the support center in February and they set that up for me. Anyway, once in a while, they run promotions like 2.0x payouts, which can make it worth it to have the account I think. The main thing I like about delivery in general is the ability to stay local. Thanks for stopping by!

    I do UberEats in Miami the mile is at $1.42, pickup fee $4, drop off fee $1.15, no minutes payments and no tips. They charge 35% but after all it pays better than the Uber rides. I am already sign up for Postmates and Doordash as well.

  •  5 років тому

    I love the fact they are walking and walkout when picking up the orders but then I have to deliver 10 to get 30 dollar it's the third day I did the payout is scary the only 9 and 8 and more dollar is very distance

  • @furiousghost4996
    @furiousghost4996 5 років тому

    It takes, 20 deliveries to make one hundred dollars. That's from 7am- 3am......... you're time may run out after 11 hour's...so it depends on how long you sit and wait. If you get a tip! It's like hitting the lottery.

    I totally had to quit uber eats. Omg. These rates are too damn cheap. People ordering big orders of food no tips. It is so freaking disrespectful. Yesterday was the last straw. This cheap office ordered 10 seperate meals. I received $3.44 for the whole order. 3 large bags of food. Good service. $3.44. I was so disgusted. I will never do uber eats again. I do not appreciate the flat fee and it being so cheap. If uber paid right tips wouldnt be a major issue. Then I can't understand why is there a flat fee for big orders and small orders being the same. Some assholes order 12 separate meals and pay the same rate as a person who orders one thing. Screw uber eats.
    1. Get to restaurant
    2. Wait forever because restaurant doesn't have food ready.
    3. Deal with attitude of restaurant. They act like you are in their way.
    4. Get food. Reatart car.
    5. Use horrible gps to pin point these people who do not leave gate codes or appropriate address information to make the drop off easy and fast.
    6. Bring food to door and most of the time up a flight of freaking annoying stairs.
    7. Knock. Hand food over. Low ass horrible payout.
    8. Icing on the cake, no tip just a fake ass thank you so much. Like that is worth anything.
    9. Time to quit. Do something worth while.
    10. Screw uber eats Tampa Florida.

      I have been on UE for over an hour on a $20 an hour guarantee with strict conditions and didn't receive even one order. I will shut down this lame app because now it will be virtually impossible to satisfy the conditions to the measly $13 an hour guarantee which expires in less than an hour.

    I think with the same email it states Uber's commission is now 35% instead of 25! That's highway robbery!

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому

      My email said 25% but I have heard of a lot of drivers who got slightly different rates with 35%. I'll have to do a couple UE deliveries (which I hate, LOL) and see how much they pay me

    yeah, definitely some funny math going on. How do you like DD now, compared to UE?

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +2

      +Livlife 2k I prefer DD because I know the pickup, destination and the order total. Most importantly, I get tipped on almost every order so my earnings are much higher.

      I like DD better than PM because I get more tips and I know where the dropoff is. But PM has it's advantaged too - if there is blitz pricing and you get an faraway delivery, you can make good money on the miles

      I do doordash and sometimes the delivery takes over 30 min total. after 30 min if you aren't using it, wouldn't doordash end your shift, if let's say you get a delivery for postmates? (I don't know how long it would take to do a postmates delivery) does that make sense? how do you do more than one app? please explain :). thanks!

    Man tbh honest man I love the consistency of doordash in dallas . But when I do uber eats here in Dallas is a hit in miss . Yesterday I was earning an average of 18 an hour with UberEATS I've had days where it's more like 9 and hour. But with door dash for me which btw I've only driven two days for them I feel like no matter what I'm at 10-15 an hour

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +1

      Sounds like you had a good day yesterday, David! How many hours a week do you usually deliver? Have you tried to focus on higher $ / lower mileage orders for DoorDash?

    • @speakyoursoul
      @speakyoursoul 7 років тому

      Rideshare Genius can't say I have I have a lot of issues that don't let me work a regular job even these type of jobs some days but I try to do 6-8 hours a day. I kind of lost the will to drive people around because of the 3 dollar rides lol . So I'm sticking to door dash or UberEATS. Today I tried doing both at the same time and landed three delivers at the same time kind of hectic but made it work

    • @joelyboyblue
      @joelyboyblue 7 років тому +2

      David Alvarez $3 to drive someone, that's ridiculous- once you lower prices it's impossible to raise them again, they race to the bottom thinking they'll gain market share it doesn't even work- stacking orders is the way to make $

    • @speakyoursoul
      @speakyoursoul 7 років тому +2

      joelyboyblue I hear you man . I drove one time like 10 minutes to pick a guy up who wanted to go down the block and around the corner -_-. So I want to say that was the last day I drove for rides. Now I'm just doing food deliveries

    I am going to have to disagree with you that UberEATS is not a good idea. I am instead going to say it DEPENDS. I live in Phoenix and am in the process of seeing if my Chevy Spark will pass inspection for UberX. In the mean time, UberEATS is not a bad gig for some side cash. Preferably for a car like mine, or any gas saver car, UberEATS is a great thing to do! Yes, Uber does take 20% - 25% of the total, but I'm still making money. I look at it like this, it takes $15 to fill my car up with gas, I can easily make that off 1 or 2 trips. If I can consistantly make a minimum of $200 per week doing UberEATS, then I win financially speaking for me PERSONALLY.
    It is just going to depend from person to person, and city to city. Phoenix is a newer market for UberEATS still, and with all the changes with Uber in the last YEAR, there are more likely going to be changes good or bad. But until that happens I see it as a way for me to make extra money to pay my bills and do it when I want to do it, not when someone else says I have to.

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +2

      You're right, it depends! For me, I will do eats if there's a good promo or incentive. For example, the other day they paid 2.4x for 2 hours for deliveries from a few specific restaurants. I hustled and made $72 in 1 hour 39 minutes

    • @ubereatsdriver1611
      @ubereatsdriver1611 7 років тому +1

      2.4x?? I WISH they did that much here... the most I've seen is 1.4x... Just goes to show you depending where you are in the states, can vary on the amounts they offer for incentives!

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +1

      Yeah, that was just for 2 hours. It was for a March Madness promo I think. Do you get Quest offers too? I always try to combine EATS work with Quest to maximize earnings

    • @ubereatsdriver1611
      @ubereatsdriver1611 7 років тому +1

      What are quest offers? I have not heard this term yet.

    • @RideshareGenius
      @RideshareGenius  7 років тому +1

      In my app, under "Promotions" I see Quest and Boost. Quest is the "x rides for $x". For example on Monday, I got a Quest 15 rides for $50 offer to be completed by Thursday night. I did 6 deliveries with the promo, so 9 more deliveries/rides to get that $50.
      Last weekend, my Quest offer was 20 trips for $80. I did a mix of rides and deliveries and got the $80. I'll try to make a video about Quest soon!
