Mizzou fan here. Wrote this game off as an easy W before the season. BC has been impressive and I’m happy for them. This game looks like a much better game now, and I can’t wait to watch
I have a ton of respect for BC as a Mizzou fan, I think that Castellanos is extremely talented and they’re well coached. I’ll go with 34-17 Mizzou, I think we will have our hands full initially but we’ll get it settled by the second quarter and have the game bagged by the 3rd
It was fun to watch BC beat FSU soundly in week one! You gotta respect what this BC team has already accomplished. For the first time this year we are facing a ranked team and it's exactly what I've been waiting for. It should be a good game.
I see Boston College staying with Miuzzou to the final minutes of the game & would not be surprised to see them come away with the win. Most talented BC team since they joined the ACC.
So far this season, mizzou has only scored one passing touchdown - and now they're going up against a very good defense that's good at stopping the run.
@@Supportingtruth8258 A lot of that was by design. Simple but effective offense against weaker D1 schools that doesn't put anything on film that isn't necessary in order to win the game. I expect Mizzou to open up the playbook against BC
Just because you love a team does not mean you have to go with them to win ….Thomas Castellano is through 4 touchdowns last week. He could stretch a few war run, which makes him a perfect threat that will keep a defense on their toes. Brady Cook will have a hard time reading Boston colleges defense. I guarantee he’s not going to have the same success as he had against those lower rank opponents. You guys have to compare most recent games and talent level Missouri struggle with low rank opponents, especially with the run.
51-0 and 38-0 does not show any struggle at all. Mizzou also played over 26 different players on defense both games. Linebackers like Brayshawn Littlejohn, Jeremiah Beasley, and Nicholas Rodriguez had good chunks of playing time and they are behind at least 4 other linebackers in the depth chart.
The person you’re arguing with hasn’t watched MU play. He is talking from memory 5 years ago Missouri will have a challenge with this running qb He is good But we have played really good ones like LSU With a better team overall So , this is talk based off of what people remember of MU, They in the past didn’t have the talent or speed. They do now So this should be an entertaining game but not one MU should struggle with
We’ll see. This will be a close one, tigers are going to have to be very disciplined with their eyes bc Castellanos will run all over the place, can not honor the throw but at same time can’t let him sit back and make easy ones to get in a rhythm
Just let these receivers run wild. Make Boston play from behind which I don't think they'll be comfortable with. They'd rather control the game running. Unleash Luther and Theo and Speedy get up 2-3 scores take them out of their game then could get ugly.
That’s gotta be your game plan. Don’t sleep on Donovan Ezeiruaku, who had an off year last year but had a field day with the All-ACC OT at FSU. If Burden gets going early, it’ll be hard for BC
I'm a big Tiger fan, as you can tell from my name tag. Yes, I graduated in '76. I love the Tigers. Flew to the Cotton Bowl. Am excited by the prospects of the year. But the Tigers have something to prove. You have to play the game. We have lots to be excited about, but Florida State and Notre Dame prove that you have to execute. It's always that way. We beat Alabama when they were ranked #1 in 1976. We beat USC when they were ranked #1 in '77, I believe. We beat OSU in January. We can do it! But it's not a given. M-I-Z! S-T-P!!!
BC’s defensive line is much better than I thought it would be this year. FSU fans and prognosticators alike were stating that FSU had the best offensive line in the nation. FSU’s quarterback was running for his life the entire game. All I know is that Bill O’Brien beat the hell out of the team over the summer with full on contact scrimmages and an extremely rigorous strength and conditioning program. Whereas in the past most teams take the long season sort of ease the team in approach to avoid injury, Bill O’Brien made the team go 100 mph on day one like Navy Seal hell weak. BC defense is certainly the most violent ive seen in years. We’ll see how they do against a legitimate playoff contender Missouri.
You guys should watch the Duquesne game. I know it was against an FCS team, but this is a different Castellanos. People think he cannot pass based on last year - he was injured most of the season towards the end. He improved dramatically under O’Brien. This will be a close game. Upset watch-I’m being serious.
Definitely an upset Missouri struggle with lower rank opponents. They have not been tested yet this season. I like Boston Colleges defense over Missouri’s defense. I feel like Missouri is highly overrated just like Florida State.
Lol highly overrated haven't given up a point. BC is built a lot like buffalo mobile QB nice running game 38-0. We didn't really play that well especially on offense either.
@@KL-Prownoun Overrated in what sense? What evidence can you provide? FSU has an actual L in their record, Mizzou does not. Mizzou has not given up a touchdown in 12 quarters. We return basically 90% of our offense and did extremely well in the transfer portal. I've been a Mizzou fan for 34 years and I have never seen a Mizzou defense this fast in my life. Batoon is doing a great job with this D. I'll be in Como Saturday and can't wait.
personally I think it's kinda insane to have BC's projected point total at like 14 points before backups come in or whatever yall said. yall talked up their offense a lot but didn't give them any credit offensively in your prediction. at the same time the two shutouts to start the year are impressive for missouri, but this will by far be their biggest offensive test so far, obviously
Good break down guys. Dave you need to do something about your sound quality tho. It sounds like you're in a room that has no insulation...AKA a barrel lol. You also sound somewhat far away, if that makes sense. Great breakdown tho and still enjoyed the expertise from both of y'all.
UT fan here with a question for mizzou fans. What is going on with Luther? I blew up every comment section backing him as the best, and now it looks like Tmac has the biletnikoff locked down going into week 3. Serious question, was just curious if he was hurt
He was sick last week, and only played barely two quarters in week one. Also, every team is doubling him up, leaving other WRs open. He’ll bust out soon, I have zero doubt
You guys have to pay attention to them talent level. These past two games Missouri has not faced anybody in the SEC ACC or Pac 10 or 12 and they struggled against these lower rank talent opponents. How can you say Missouri is going to absolutely destroy Boston College. Everyone said the same thing about Florida State playing Boston College. And what happened Missouri does not have an elite Rush defense. Buffalo was running the ball all over Missouri’s defense. So guess what defense and offensive running game is 12 times better than Buffalo. I really feel like Boston College will upset Missouri. Or the spread is going to be very close and it’s going to be a low scoring game, Boston College coach has played alongside with Bill Belichick for numerous of years and the New England Patriots. I believe he knows what it takes to defeat a more talented Missouri team players. The coaching & strategy.
34-17 Mizzou. I could see the talented defensive backs of Mizzou blanketing the Boston College pass catchers all game and the front 6-7 of the Mizzou defense playing and respecting their gaps while rushing. If that happens? Boston College is in trouble. Watch the Pitt game last year for BCU. If you keep containment and have a couple of guys on your front who are in the role of a spy? The BCU quarterback is going to struggle. If Mizzou gets up by more than one possession at all this weekend and makes BCU one dimensional? It's going to be extremely ugly.
Boston college football team is about to run all over Missouri’s defense. Look at the Buffalo game go take a look at the Buffalo game. Missouri barely stopped the run then what makes you think they’re gonna stop the run of a better offensive line and running core? Florida State had a hard time stopping it. So I guess Missouri is better than Florida State this year even though they haven’t played for Florida state right?

Their oline is a strength of the team. At least three are NFL prospects. One a possible first rounder. They've had a few penalties, many of which were really iffy calls, but that's not uncommon for the beginning of the season.
