A superlative Bilahari being one of the highlights of this spectacular concert. For a change, we have "paridAnamichitE" against IyervAL's favorite in Bilahari "intakannAnanda mEmi". Lalgudi at his inimitable best. One can observe how much MMI (& the audience too) enjoyed Lalgudi's brilliance all along, especially during Bilahari and kAnaDA.
The thani avarthanam at the end of sukhi evarO seems to be unfortunately truncated to just about 3 mins. But we still get to hear a sparkling one at that.
PS:: The venue and the year mentioned are as per my records. Pls feel free to point out any inaccuracies in the same.

this is an incredible effort, today academy's do not give artists the luxury of a 4 hour window and empowering the artist, the end result is that artists tire easily, with a few exceptions: Sudha and Ramakrishnan Moorthy, and a few others. Look at MMI every song has neraval and swaras, and not trivial and slow, all in brisk delivery, Umayalpuram makes one almost if not dance nod their heads to the laya. Lalgudi is good beyond words.

thus sang the nAda yOgi. Unable to say or do anything..other than simply bowing in all humility and respect to this heavenly music. And what to spk of the pakkavAdyam. Both lgj and uks muat hv been in their early 30s. Mind blowing to think such "pazhuttha" sangeetham and layam emanating from them at the age of 32 or 33. Gods who walked / are walking on earth.
