mysterio was done so dirty edit: btw i mean he was done dirty in this RANKING, i think he was amazing in the movie. a lot of people misunderstood that i was saying mysterio is bad
The reason dr Connor’s wants to transform New York to lizard in his lizard form is because lizard and Connor’s aren’t the same person. And throughout the movie we see how the lizard starts to corrupt him even more until the end.
Basically, it's pretty much the classic Lizard motivation as it's been since his first debuts. I don't understand why people have problems with that, Lizard was done great in Amazing Spider-Man and him murdering Captain Stacy is hella brutal. I wish his second personality and voices in his head weren't there, it fits Green Goblin but it doesn't fit Connors. I also wish the scene where Connors basically bites off the head of the guy who shut down his project wasn't deleted, it would've been a great addition to the movie. In general, I say both Amazing Spider-Man movies have great and emotional pack of scenes that unfortunately were deleted. Like, that alternative ending of TASM 2 with Peter's dad coming back and talking to him would've been so emotionally heavy.
@The.YoungB well, not exactly, as I've seen people are warming to them nowadays and some even call the first TASM the best Spider-Man movie. I mean, unfortunately TASM 2 was a mess because of Sony's rushed decisions, but, hot take: it's still written much better than Spider-Man 3 and does drama better(even though I absolutely love Sandman in this). It's just they did Max Dillon dirty: they had such a great introduction with him becoming Electro, but then he just became one-note cardboard serving Harry and Peter killed him without any remorse even though it was his fan. P.S Thank goodness "No Way Home" actually redeemed Max and gave him more charisma.
@ ye they do but I mean tasm 2 mostly it was a mess but it had more good than bad. People still tend to over exaggerating calling it horrible or something. Its not perfect but it’s far from bad to
@The.YoungB I'll always defend how good it showed the iconic Gwen's death from the comics. It was so much more emotional than Ben's death in Raimi's movies which just felt rushed and it was especially better than Harry's death when Peter only cared about it in the end of the movie.

Be honest, out of all the movie villains, Dr. Connors/Lizard was done the dirtiest. Like in the comics and cartoons, he's depicted as the most sympathetic Spider-Man of all time. But for the movies, I felt nothing for him. He was just so boring and forgettable. Aside from killing Captain Stacey, I literally remember almost nothing he does in the movie, where a posed to Electro & Mysterio who while also not great villians at times, had some memorable moments, especially during their big fights against Spider-Man. Compared to say the 90's cartoon who had a family and struggled to make sure he stood on the right track, that was emotional stuff and I felt truly bad for that version of Connors. For the live action movies however, I felt more sympathy for Spider-Man's archenemies in both The Green Goblin & Doc Ock, while the Lizard was so... meh. I don't know if it was due to the poor writing in the script, or maybe Rhys Ifans was just miscasted for the role. But to not feel anything towards the Spider-Man villian equivalent to Mr. Freeze? That's just disappointing.

Mysterio did not deserve that, he’s a good villain in Far from Home. He deserves at least b tier. Also, this is the best version of Mysterio including the comics in my opinion.
MCU Mysterio being lower than Knull, who didn't even barely do anything in the film, and ANY character from the Venom films is absolutely ridiculous lmfao.
I agree with how you ranked Tobey’s Venom. Sure, he wasn’t a huge role. But I love how his suit mimicked Spider-Man’s design. Just more monstrous and uncontrolled. Which is how I feel Venom SHOULD be.
I actually liked electro as a villain, yes the writing wasnt great, but he felt imposing and powerful compared to most spidey villains, not to mention his banger theme. I think the tasm franchise was hella underrated
Topher Grace's Venom deserves nothing more than to buried in the pile of absolutely horrid villain adaptations. I mean, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but there is NOTHING about him that is good. His suit was awful, his design was awful, his stupid, tiny teeth were awful! No tongue, he was PUNY...Brock is supposed to be massive and intimidating, not small and whiny. He was NOT even a remotely decent version, and I won't ever change my mind.

I agree with the venom placement. From spiderman 3
The Morbius take is an amazing take
Topher Grace's Venom deserves nothing more than to buried in the pile of absolutely horrid villain adaptations.
0:07 I hate him the most
how is mysterio so low
Knull is actually a threat in the comics
Finally, someone who admits Topher Grace’s venom isn’t that bad it’s awesome 😎
Spot on to how I would rank it btw 💪😎✨
Shocker was in the MCU? How shitty when I can’t even remember them.
Also I still like Mysterio. He’s like a lesser Scarecrow who uses illusions instead of fear.
Um am I the only human on earth that likes Electro from The Amazing Spider Man 2
I love Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. So you aren't alone.
Nope, I love the TASM electro as well I've always had a soft spot for those films even though there not really appreciated
