Boston clearance didn’t forget to give you the departure frequency. You were cleared for the logan 2 departure. Your initial heading, top alt of 3,000’ and departure frequency of 133.0 should’ve already been reviewed. Nice video and thanks for helping with PPE.
Thanks Doug, I guess I am used to Potomac that always gives me a frequency even when it's on the departure procedure... Especially, now that they have consolidated sectors.
Brian Danza eh we all learn, another one to watch out for at bigger airports is the departure and arrival atis are different. I always check a SID or STAR to make sure I’m using the right one.
yeah, the different frequencies for ATIS I have seen a few times (KPHL and KJFK). Ironically I have flown out of BOS a few times and they have always given me a frequency, but they were IFR flights. I went back into my old videos to look.
You didn't do any runup check, no linup ckeck (lights, fuel pump etc...), altimeter was not set prior takeoff, no pré-landing checks. You're flying so behind the aircraft. But the cameras are always being checked :)
I can't wait to start flying once the stay at home order is over. My ground school final test is on Friday April 24th. I also wanted to say nice job on that clearance read back. That was the longest clearance I have ever heard.
I cheated on the clearance readback. I had already received it on my phone, so I didn't have to write anything down. Sadly I can't fly right now either, my flight review was up two days ago.
Two videos in a week, what a treat!! Question.... Is it getting more common to get your IFR clearances via text or however you are getting off the phone? I assume that's how you got it? Thanks
yeah, they had sent it to my phone, but not a full clearance only the proposed route. I was checking my phone to make sure that what I got was correct.

Ahhh someone beat me to it.
I feel like an idiot now, but an always learning idiot.

The flight also only took 20 minutes it's pretty remarkable

That is pretty cool I have never flown in a plane but I have ridden in a helicopter before thanks for sharing I appreciate it and stay safe out there.

Brian Danza hope they do that more and more! Sure seems like a good way to at least get the initial clearance. Thanks and stay safe!
