Glad that worked out! Yes I think it yields the most consistent results instead of going straight on the grill. Indirect grilling method works well for sausage as well.
used your technique for grilling Sweet Italian sausages in the skillet first and then onto the grill. Excellent! and I must say, I think you're pretty good at making videos. very interesting. And shout out from Las Vegas, Nevada
@@huntercarneystandup Always can use a good laugh, especially these days! Definitely will check out these vids while waiting for the grill timer to go off!
But what about the ones you get from a regular store, they might already be processed and cooked to some extent? I am still game for this process, definitely worth trying.. thanks
This technique will only work with raw sausage. I tried this with precooked sausage and the cases split once they got on the grill. For precooked just reheat direct on low or cook indirect until 160F
Nice video , never thought of precooking in a skillet . Thanks
Looks good. I love Chicago, lived there in the early nineties. Happy grilling!

Hi Jerry - just came across this one: Please, do me a favor: Do not, never ever, grill a Weisswurst ... with love: from Munich, Bavaria, Germany ...
I like mine a lot more "grilled".
