Yes, I have played this scam game . And it's funny you all people support these scammers who gave founder packs without giving it's rewards and then change all game and with their discord full of mob-friends of airsyndicates that abuse and exploit the game because they are friends with developers ..
@DrybearGamers Airship Syndicate has pulled one of the most outrageous scams in recent gaming history with Wayfinder. First, they promised it would be free-to-play-only to slap a $20 price tag on early access. And like suckers, we paid, thinking this was just the entry point for something great. Then came the founders' packs, costing up to $150, advertised with exclusive multiplayer perks like heroes, seasonal passes, mounts, and loads of 'exclusive' items. But now, after banking all that cash, they drop the bomb that it’s becoming an offline single-player game. Not only do they refuse to refund the founders' packs, but they also devalue everything we paid for. All those 'exclusive' items? Free to everyone now. The solution? A handful of in-game currency to buy cosmetics-which no one cares about in a single-player game anyway. And if that’s not enough, they’re allowing mods, meaning anyone can add whatever they want, completely undercutting the point of ‘exclusive’ items we paid for. This isn’t just a 'bait and switch'; it’s a total cash grab. They baited us with promises of an MMORPG, cashed out, then ripped the multiplayer experience right out from under us. Airship Syndicate owes every founder a full refund, no excuses. Shame on everyone that supports and advertises for these scammers. PS: Any white knight that will try to defend this trash, just don't. It's inexcusable.
Main story is higher than 40 hours. I have been playing for 3 days now and I am not done yet. Still have tons of side quest I have not touched yet. This game is a lot bigger than it appears
Fr hundreds of hours for just a single box price under half the price of a AAA game is absolutely crazy. And with how they completely reworked the game during EA is absolutely mental. Love their work here and Joe Mad had me with darksiders when I was a kid. Would love to see them continue to develop this product
i hope this game gets as much content as terraria which i have spend thousand+ hrs on. Games like this and v rising have too fun of combat and addicting grind/gameplay loop to end :/.. But im thankful this game is already providing the amount of content it has considering its cheap price and no mtx, much better than if it were to be a live service
Put 300 hours into the initial game. Bought the founders pack for $150 and the works. Enjoyed it. Haven't played the new redo yet. The reason wayfinder went down is because digital extremes ran off. Man I was grasping on everything day to day on discord. Finally give up. Game isn't bad imo. Was a good grind game. Talk about support. These devs are relentless.
Most people run away because the optimization was horrible for too many devices, same for me, i can run almost every game comfortably but wayfunder was a horrible go run.
the value this game brings is remarkable. the fact you can earn all cosmetics/all areas/all weapons/all character with out an MTX cash shop is what every gamer has been trying to advocate for for a long time. the only game play sacrifice done, is this is peer to peer, so alot of the social stuff for massive multi player was cut. social wise its basically like The First Dec, but with out a working social hub. if you keep your game open for people to play with you its essentially the same thing as wondering into people in the open world, being the only difference is you see a list of people, before you join.
Great game. Got several people into it. Hoping it continues to get more players. The value proposition is really high. There aren’t many $25 games that give you this much game.
I jumped in at 1.0, didn't play much of EA. I like it and have had a good time with it! My only complaint is that a lot of the progression and upgrades feel like stat sticks. Not much variation in how you cuztomize character or weapon playstyles (aside from combinations of those two things). Otherwise, there's a lot of content for the game and I really appreciate what the devs did for the game. Well worth the price.
Agree they need to spice up the gameplay abit and add in some more options to play right now i feel the gameplay is just too basic with the light and heavy atk strings being pretty much all u do
Bought this a few days ago. No regrets. Lots to do, crazy amount of customisation, combat feels good and each character plays different. 3-player co-op with public or friends only options. Loving the game.
its insane how drybear can play 5 different games every day enough to be good at them, and then make a video every couple hours while doing it. Either this guy has a time-turner or a talent
I absolutely love this game! The art style is so good. It reminds me of Wildstar, also a great game. The questing and the exploration is really fun lots to do. Can't recommend it enough.
It's a blast. Downloaded it today. Been playing Windgrave, and talk about a self-healing, face-tanking tank. I face tank bosses, sometimes ignoring the telegraphed attacks alltogether...and rarely go below 80% hp (if not at max most of tthe time). Might kick the difficulty up a notch, if the rewards are better at higher levels.
just bought it on steam. Had a 10% discount for 8 hours on top of an already fair price of 25. I love games where you can upgrade distinctively different characters
When he says “I mean you probably won’t put a 2 handed weapon on a dagger assassin it’ll slow them down too much” as I currently have a 2 handed typhoon on my dagger assassin 😂😂 I’m only level 10 but games amazing so far!! The music, environments and art style are a few of my favorite things
I have a lot of hours in the game and unlocked almost everything. It's really fun to just run around and beat monsters up and look for better echoes to upgrade your stuff. The only thing i find annoying is sometimes in the bigger zones the performance drops or skips frames and you get killed or fall into a pit and other small bugs like enemies moonwalking when there is a huge group of them. I heard theyre working on a performance patch though.
kinda funny you said you wouldn't put a 2h on Niss. I did just that and its kinda awesome. you get big hits and jump attacks with all the dashes in the land to reposition after that also do damage. Negates the downside of a big slow weapon and is actually quite fun.
i’ve been really really enjoying this game as a player only experiencing 1.0. i feel like this game will be slept on but what i at least hope is that enough people buy this game and within a timeframe where it could justify a sequel that could get a true attempt at being an mmo. as a single player co oop game i’ve been loving it. i hope it gets the recognition it deserves.
Even though I finished main story in 3 days, I am new to this game but I have heard about it during the early access and reviews werent optimistic so I didnt buy it but 1.0 really hooked me in so I gave it a try and I must say it is worth every penny. I do hope that more content is coming out for the game so that I can get excited to see new things in the game
There is one “mage” archetype character, named Kryos. Super fun to play, you can set him up with substantial self-heal from outgoing damage and then build him like a glass cannon but just keep healing up from 20% health to full any time you land an ability.
Hoping they keep adding content to really push the Co-Op ARPG/Rougelike variety. It's pretty fun so far but still feeling that MMO-empty vibe at points. Looking forward to the future for it. Edit: And actually, hoping for mirror-characters so you can have more variety in cosmetics and trait subtleties without having to fully swap out the Hero kit. E.g., an alt/female Windgrave-slot (large heavy armor) or another Grendel-beast-like character but with the Venomess kit, etc. Or alternatively use some of the key NPCs as skins e.g, Omen over Kyros. Curious if the Mod scene picks up.
Wow, even when it's someone _else's_ game, Digital Extremes lets it get halfway through development and goes "eh, whatever, we're done with this". Nice to see the consistency there. Never change, DE.
Was debating on buying on xbox with the move to arpg but since its not out on there yet i guess ill keep playing on PC. At least my heroic Kyros wont go to waste now
The game is good, it is fun, and i am a little disappointed that there will be no after release support... this game has so much potential especially if they add dlc down the road. But it sounds to me like this was a "finish it up, ship it, forget it" game from this dev. I will still enjoy this game but i hope the devs change their minds and add more areas, more characters, skins, all sorts of stuff.
They said they want to continue development for the game but only if it makes sense, so basically if people support the game they will continue to develop it
Also seeing as basically everything is free I don't see them adding nearly as much unless its in a large dlc pack or something akin to that unfortunately the cost of not having micro transactions is that they can't update nearly as much
Played a good bit, only complaint os sometimes when aying with my friend the quests dont sync sometimes and we'll be on the same quest but only one of us gets it complete. But so far its been a good 22.50 spent. Enjoying Grendel
I saw comparisons to Kingdoms of amalur so I decided to check it out. I'm pretty impressed. It's not going to knock your socks off and most people will probably choose the new MH but it's $20 and not Dragon Age so I think it's worth it.
I'm 25 hours in now. This is the prettiest 20 dollar game you will ever play. The game is alright at first but when you reach the next area, it gets so much better imo. The 2nd area is like entering a mythical magical wonderland it looks so damn good.. Recommend.
While it is disappointing that the game no longer is an MMORPG, I can say for certain this is a great example of how you can bring a game back from the brink of death and turn it into something better. As a Founder and completing the story when the game was still an MMO and was dying, I'd be happy to go back and play it again as the core gameplay is what got me hooked, plus you can still do coop with friends. I'll cherish the times I had with a bunch of randoms when the game wasn't single player, but this change was a good one for the long haul. Props the Airship for sticking with their work and persisting on for their fans!
This game has been a very, very pleasant surprise. The amount of content for 25$ is incredible and puts Blizzard's D4 to shame. And with PoE2 pushed back 3 weeks, it's the perfect time for this.
I tried that Beta Test and had massive issues. Now I've actually purchased the game to at least support the Devs. Though I'm sure I'll enjoy playing it as well.
I was following this awhile back then it fell off the radar and now its back, dunno what i was expecting but kind of excited right now. Especially since clicking and are you fucking kidding me. Critical Role skins?! GROOOOOG!
Ahhhhh, no i haven't. So a flat one time purchase, solo and co op, no gotcha, no pay to win and all in game progression from instances done and all gear is from drops? Lots of content? Are the instances or dungeons always the same every time you go in or are they different each time? I am thinking about this game seriously :)
This game has been a fun bowl of fresh air without any bullshit whit the feeling of an MMO-ish / ARPG that you can play solo or with friends at ANY time with word scaling ! Honestly the gameplay is dope (story is servicable) but they put a ton of love into the world you explore and the fantasy is there 100%. For 22€ at launch, and compared to what I played during EA when it was still supposed to become a freenium, I cannot thank the devs enough to have continue with it because the base game could really have some incredible DLCs ! Please support the devs if you can and check out this game ESPECIALLY if you played / love the Darksiders series ! It takes about an hour to get the hang of it since it plays a « bit » differently than you would expect at first but then it becomes this really enjoyable ARPG that I can only compare to Dragon Age Inquisition when it comes to the fun I have with it and it’s a hidden / missed gem already for sure, people really need to play this game and give it a true chance because it already is amazing but could have more content if they do well since the devs told us that at the moment they are waiting to have enough funds to go further with it ❤️ Also no Micro transaction should be PRAISED in this day and age.
In spite of the bare bones character abilities, there’s still a lot of fun to be had. My wife literally said this game was meant for her. She loves the transmog system and decorating the player’s apartment. It’s great for friends to play together like Torchlight or Outriders.
I like the game, but I get constant stutters and frame drops in the open world areas with enemies. It's very off putting, there's no excuse for this on a PS5 considering the game's graphical fidelity.
@@CodyChandler1979 performance issues are gonna be improved no doubt. as the company recovers from the publishers bullshit they will be able to improve and add onto the game
I still remember when people used to call this game waitfinder lol. It was promising back then when they were trying to go warframe style under DE but things went downhill when DE publishing unit got shutdown. Their servers were horrible. I played a little bit because i wanted something similar to warframe but not anymore. I am fine with TFD for now.
I'm an OG founder of wayfinder and haven't been able to update it on steam since full release. Game is labeled unstable in my library and won't update, not sure how to fix this anyone have this problem and possibly how to fix it?
This game is a tremendous value that will most likely go completely overlooked by most players. At it's price tag, the amount of game you get for entirely free is absolutely staggering. Wayfinder gameplay is fun and engaging, with solid and impactful action combat. The art style is equally solid and will age well, and the voice acting is also well done. The story is... a story, nothing special but it exists. Unfortunately, this game is probably doomed to be forgotten, by both the players and the studio. And it's ultimately a really good game at an incredible price. Unfortunate.
I can’t play. I select character and game says loading to the gloom, then goes back to title screen. 1 hour left before I am forced to return the game.
Here's the problem. As an online live service, Wayfinder would've been awesome if they can nail MTX correctly. As an offline game it feels like the next Kingdoms of Amalur. In this day and age offline grinds just don't do well and the art style is disappointing for a single player game. Right now, it bombed.
Wayfinder is a really intriguing game with a lot of unique style, and its pricing seems fair. However, I’m surprised that performance issues aren’t being highlighted more. Despite its strong visual appeal, the game struggles with stability and optimization, leading to a noticeably poor experience on some systems. It’s disappointing that this hasn’t been a bigger topic of conversation, as it affects the overall enjoyment of the game.
I’m enjoying the game. It does have a downside though. I think it could’ve been much better if they had more build diversity like a third person over the shoulder Last Epoch, Diablo, or Parh of Exile. Each character has four abilities. I think they should have more choices as well as builds you can make around your favorite abilities to the extent you can in these aforementioned games. Also, the game is sort of designed to trade damage at times instead of avoiding damage like a souls-like. So if that isn’t your thing, you probably won’t like it

i bought 2 exalted passes to get heroic kyros for me and my bf since we played it a lot. was a fan of it in EA before the airship syndicate split but i wont be touching the 1.0 version. they went from making a story that would last for years in seasonal updates to be invested in to a full story after half a year? from that, surely the story would be rushed, and i wasnt a fan of their mindset change, saying "live service games arent it, were charging once and thats it!" when they originally were going for a live service game...
They didn't have a choice in keeping it live service though. Once DE closed its publishing arm, AS didn't have the capacity to keep it a long-term MMO. So it was either close the game forever (which most companies would have done) or make it an offline solo/co-op game. There was no other option than those, and they chose to try and salvage what they had by going with the latter.
@@Nayr090 no yeah i do understand that, but during that time all they kept hyping up before echoes dropped was "a big update", people not knowing that it would basically be a stripped down version of what could have been

It takes about an hour to get the hang of it since it plays a « bit » differently than you would expect at first but then it becomes this really enjoyable ARPG that I can only compare to Dragon Age Inquisition when it comes to the fun I have with it and it’s a hidden / missed gem already for sure, people really need to play this game and give it a true chance because it already is amazing but could have more content if they do well since the devs told us that at the moment they are waiting to have enough funds to go further with it ❤️
Also no Micro transaction should be PRAISED in this day and age.
It's very off putting, there's no excuse for this on a PS5 considering the game's graphical fidelity.
it does it on PC's too. dont worry even better hardware than the ps5 has the problem rn
@@chronodis Wow that's sad. It'd be nice if they fixed this in a future patch but I doubt they will
Plays smooth on steamdeck
@@CodyChandler1979 performance issues are gonna be improved no doubt. as the company recovers from the publishers bullshit they will be able to improve and add onto the game
perfomance update is already confirmed
I would but they never brought it back from my PS4
Will there be more future updates or the game is done?
None of the characters really vibe with me but the game is pretty fun. Would have liked to make my own character/choose gender etc.
Hi , can we change persona / skin color ?
Great game
story is good, gameplay is also good. i actually love it. only comments is hope we have more action skills
Any katanas in game??
What is "Wayfinder"?
This is pretty fun to play until 1999 comes out
I still remember when people used to call this game waitfinder lol. It was promising back then when they were trying to go warframe style under DE but things went downhill when DE publishing unit got shutdown. Their servers were horrible. I played a little bit because i wanted something similar to warframe but not anymore. I am fine with TFD for now.
Waitfinder is actually hilarious lol
Really been enjoying the game. But hearing that their will only be one more update is very upsetting.
This game opened my eyes to how bad modern gaming can be when "live service" is involved...
Strip all that nonsense away, you have a functional ARPG.
It's a "master of none " kind of game.
I want to play waiting for xbox release
I'm an OG founder of wayfinder and haven't been able to update it on steam since full release. Game is labeled unstable in my library and won't update, not sure how to fix this anyone have this problem and possibly how to fix it?
It’s a good time but super grindy as a single player game. Great value at 20 bucks, though.
Jumping in at 1.0, best way to think of this is like a 3rd-person Torchlight successor, and in that sense it's actually pretty damn great.
Is it gonna get added to ps4 or is it just ps5 exslusive
Is there match making for co-op? Or is it invite friends only?
It has a kind of "Serverbrowser" where you can see open games and join them.
Yes there is matchmaking
hello how can i claim the dlc after i bought it ??
Once it shows up im game pass ill jump on that .
Played this game for 4 hours today. Best I can describe it is hogwarts legacy + the last 2 god of war games, divided by 2
"..hogwarts legacy + the last 2 god of war games, divided by 2" 😂👍
The biggest pain point about Wayfinder is that you're forced into arbitration if you accept their EULA.
Get this instead of DA:V
I’m enjoying the game. It does have a downside though. I think it could’ve been much better if they had more build diversity like a third person over the shoulder Last Epoch, Diablo, or Parh of Exile. Each character has four abilities. I think they should have more choices as well as builds you can make around your favorite abilities to the extent you can in these aforementioned games. Also, the game is sort of designed to trade damage at times instead of avoiding damage like a souls-like. So if that isn’t your thing, you probably won’t like it
I'm tired of getting on to find all my hours put into the game, my progression all gone. Hopped on to find “New Game” after load up. 😒
Airship Syndicate has pulled one of the most outrageous scams in recent gaming history with Wayfinder.
Exactly , shame on everyone and their families who support those scammers !
I guess won't regret pirating the game
No thanks, I'm having fun with TFD.
I mean, soon as they drop it on xbox like they said they were 😔
I just stopped playing it, it feels so empty now.
I hate the mobile UI look, other than that it's ok.
played 1.0 - found it amazingly boring :(
My PC is too potato to play it 😢
😭
Gayfinder?
i bought 2 exalted passes to get heroic kyros for me and my bf since we played it a lot. was a fan of it in EA before the airship syndicate split but i wont be touching the 1.0 version. they went from making a story that would last for years in seasonal updates to be invested in to a full story after half a year? from that, surely the story would be rushed, and i wasnt a fan of their mindset change, saying "live service games arent it, were charging once and thats it!" when they originally were going for a live service game...
@@Nayr090 no yeah i do understand that, but during that time all they kept hyping up before echoes dropped was "a big update", people not knowing that it would basically be a stripped down version of what could have been
nah. i'm good.
the game is badly optimized (open world section) runs like crap and I have a very good PC...not to say that the game becomes repetitive as fuck after a while
Nope. It looks like every other game I don't want to play.
i played it , i dont like thw weapons , lack of diversity, dont have punch to it, and lack of interesting heroes
