on an air cooled engine I would have put a fan in front of the top end for several minutes while idling to keep it cool. engines tend to run pretty hot during break in.

The speed is the same because the CDI has a RPM limiter built in. Same RPM, same MPH. You'll have to put a performance CDI in it. You will also need a bigger carburetor, and remove the exhaust pipe restriction to realize the performance potential of the big bore kit.
retorque the left side on the head and see if there is a aftermarket exhaust and bore out the inlet in the cylinder. That will make it faster and get more torque

You are right it indeed needs to go up one on the mainjet, could also try an larger pilot for the low end, or shim\ raise the needle if just adjusting fuel air screw isnt enough to get proper mixture 1/4- 1/2 throttle👊

@Badass Skeptic Spell check completely changes a word if you hit the wrong key by accident and for those speaking into a phone for auto typing, it get's even crazier.
If you want a higher top speed, you need to change the gearing. You can put a bigger sprocket on the rear which will give you a higher top end speed. You are still delivering the same RPMs but with more torque which can then take different sprockets and increase your top speed or acceleration depending on the sprocket.
You're Right But you see you simply lack knowledge. Your replies, harmless. You, a joke. You see you were never once right in your life but you are continued to believe by everyone else that you’re right. Put some more teeth in that mate and maybe you’ll have a chance of getting something right one day.
You're Right But I’m afraid I have the decency to tell you the honest truth of how you’re wrong. I rode motorbikes for 69 years and I know about gearing. I’m obviously moving at a faster rate than you since your mass is affecting the polarity rotation of the earth, causing global warming and photosynthesis rates to decrease which in turn lowers the Oxygen produced back into our environment. By eliminating the cause, we would all be put in a safer place.
@You're Right But You see, you've never experienced anything on two wheels, simply because you cannot fit on them. Final drive gearing will increase the torque but the bike will simply not be able to take your weight. You compress the suspension so much the subframe of the bike will scrape on the floor and you will go down the road looking like a cheerio, contemplating what you've done your whole life because you are very much wrong once again!
