    Beautiful paints. You save time and paint.
    Note: Let them produce a color you like and name it after you. It would be nice. Like "Hot Rod Jane purple."

    20:42 Hot Rod Jen! Thank you for the videos. I am a farmer from the Muncy Hills in PA. Me n my nieces are learning how to pinstripe our fleet of International Harvester Scouts early ones. We sincerely appreciate this useful information. Someday would like to meet you. It is amazing to see someone in the snail trail business in the age of decal. God bless!!!

    ok ok ok! I'm sold. Time to buy a whole new system lmao. Has hot hues replaced you using one shot for most things?

    • @HotRodJenPinstriping
      @HotRodJenPinstriping  6 місяців тому +3

      For me I still use 1shot for a lot of things, some others have switched to HH only I personally feel there's a place for both types of paints. But most of my vehicle applications and all work going under clear coats is done with HH

    How is this product packaged? Does it come in the PET bottles or in traditional metal cans? Looks killer!!!!

    • @HotRodJenPinstriping
      @HotRodJenPinstriping  6 місяців тому +1

      it comes in a traditional metal can, it can be transferred over to bottles, that is what i normally do. but it also doesnt skin over in the can so there is no waste if you decide to leave it in a can.

  • @Tat2Power
    @Tat2Power 2 дні тому

    One thing I haven’t figured out. How do you keep the hardener from setting up in the bottle? Every bottle I’ve tried I get maybe 2 weeks at the most and it hardens up.

    Thanks for the good information. Can you comment on the paint fumes when using urethanes? I’m told they are pretty nasty and good ventilation is key.

  • @zonarecordingstudio
    @zonarecordingstudio 4 місяці тому

    I find you have to be careful with prepsol ,even after a few days ,it will take off the striping ,not enough hardener?

      Hiya, i use a Omnichrome penci by Steadtler. they are like stabilo's but don't melt while working in hot and humid temps. Link for them might be in my pinstriping for beginners video

    Is there anything you can use on urethane to give them a flat finish i.e. a distressed sign?

    • @HotRodJenPinstriping
      @HotRodJenPinstriping  6 місяців тому

      yes there is a additive for the paint to make it flat i forget the # off hand. ill have to get back to you on the exact name/number.

    How is this brand compared to House of Kolor striping paints?

    • @HotRodJenPinstriping
      @HotRodJenPinstriping  6 місяців тому +2

      in my opinion this one suits my workflow better than HOK, i currently do a lot of on top of clear work and this paint has a high gloss finish with no flat spots, and great durability. HOK is a really nice paint and i love the flow of it, but i think it falls short on a few things when we are talking about working on top of clear and lettering.

    How do these urethanes perform when doing large built up letters?

    • @HotRodJenPinstriping
      @HotRodJenPinstriping  5 місяців тому

      I’ve been doing train cars and fire trucks with them with positive results,that’s the largest scale I’ve used them on when you say built up letters do you mean lots of layers?

    • @JustinStilson
      @JustinStilson 5 місяців тому

      @@HotRodJenPinstripingokay, good to know. I'm referring to large letters that need many strokes to be completed. Like say a 12-14" chunky letter.
