Such a nice video. I feel you captured many of the aspects of Scotland that resonate with being Scottish. I am a Scot who has 'wondered far and wide', but your video capured much of the essence of Scotland. Thank you for sharing.
I love that you love my country. There’s so much more you could see but you’d need six months rather than one. Thanks for a great video and haste ye back!
Truly excellent video almost completely ruined by that execrable pronunciation of 'Edinburgh'. I almost gave up listening to the narration on several occasions.😵💫😮💨😮💨
Yes and scotland is country of its own right rich in culture music language history its is a country not a region of Britain . Britain I'd not a country nor a nationality alba shaor a nis
Lovely vlog, but its pronounsed Ed-in-bra, just so you know. I know we have crazy place names etc. It was done to show the English up, but now it catches out Americans.
@@gabbymcclymont3563 You just contradicted yourself. It's Edin-burra. Same as Helensburgh is Helens-burra or Newburgh is New-burra. No bra, or bru in there.
So glad you said Loch Ness was overrated, cos it is. I mean, it's lovely, it's huge, but there are literally hundreds of other Lochs that nobody ever visits, because why would they? There's only one with a monster in it 🙄
Look forward to seeing you back in Scotland. You really must try a visit to the Islands on the west coast (Mull, Skye, Arran to name but a few) . Ceud Mìle Fàilte, One Hundred Thousand Welcomes.
Glad your trip in the UK was so enjoyable! You should see more of the Scottish highlands and islands if you come back, as well as the Lake District in England.
Looks wonderfull and it is. I was there 2019 and it rained none stop. Not many if any street acts going on. Weather killed it that year. Ahh and then Covid. I will return soon.
Your video is very beautiful. I like it a lot. I have been trying to talk to you for a long time. I am waiting for your response. Please give me a chance to talk to you,🥰
That distinction is known to the Scots and Irish, rather less well understood by most English people, but seems to have disappeared altogether from American English.
The Church of St John the Evangelist, is a Scottish Episcopal church in the centre of Edinburgh. It is sited at the west end of Princes Street at its junction with Lothian Road, and is protected as a category A listed building. On the left as you go in the door is a plaque for a John Stuart Forbes (J S Hiley) who had to leave Edinburgh in disgrace and ended up in America but his bad luck followed him as he joined the U.S. Cavalry and landed in the 7th and went down with Custer at the Battle of Little Big Horn. The grandfather of American folk singer Joan Baez, William Henry Bridge was Minister here and her mother Joan Chando Bridge was born in Edinburgh and baptised in St Johns.
8:04 I think that may be Inverary Castle which is 100% worth a visit - it's amazing inside with collections of arms adorning the walls, and is still the home of the Duke of Argyll, one of the most powerful families in Scotland
@@normanmaclean7684 I also took time to book a very expensive visit to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo on top of our yearly visits to Jockistanland. What is your point ?
Your daughter certainly has the right colour of hair to be a SCOT.
not skyscrapers they're tenements
Love to see family's enjoying our country. 😍

Thank you so much Ken. We loved our time in Scotland!
I would NOT call Inverness 'overrated'
...also NOT "Jake-o-bites"....´jack-o-bites´
Another impressive video. As this was in August I am guessing it was 2023 so Reese will be really grown now. What a lot of memories for her.
At least you say Scotland and not ScAAAAtland like most Yanks.
True dat...but that dreadful attempt at saying "Edinburgh" is enough to cancel it out.
What an excellent film one of the best I've seen about my country .congrats to all involved .Thank you .
Cheers! Thank you, that means the world to us!
Repeat after me - E-din-bruh
Ed-in-burr-uh actually 😅
Embra for short.
At least as a Scot from Eastern Scotland it's how I say it
And Glazz-go....there is no Glass in it! Really great vid, though!
@thisweek....is correct. Ed-in-buh-ruh or, as rightly said "Embra" to those of us who have been fortunate enough to call the place home.
I love that you love my country. There’s so much more you could see but you’d need six months rather than one. Thanks for a great video and haste ye back!
Haste ye back! (Come back soon in old Scots) One love from Scotland. 💙
We love Scotland! Thanks for watching!
that was lovely! you got some amazing footage, haste ye back (hope you return many times)
We will certainly be back!
You could have spent a couple of hours learning the correct pronunciations of all the words you got wrong before recording your voiceover.
Lighten up ffs!
I'm very impressed with the quality of your videos. I fell like I'm watching something on national TV.
Scottish people do not have a 'brogue', that's reserved for the Irish.

Soon as I hear Edinboro on these things I turn off!🙉🥴 how hard can it be…….?
Harder than not putting up such a dull, mean spirited, predictable and pointless comment.

Id say as a Scot, that it's not just Loch Ness that is overrated but Scotland in general
EdinburUH. No idea why you would think it ends with an O.
