Great video. This was way easier that I expected. The trickiest part was removing the retaining clip because I didn't have as much of a slot with my 2015 MKC as you did on your demo vehicle but having the replacement part I could see exactly where to put my small screwdriver to put prying pressure. Worked like a charm and the part was installed in less than 3 minutes. Thank you.
Can't wait to add mine! Just came ik the mail! They are super helpful at night and add a nice touch. Now they will be even brighter!

Great video! I did upgrade on puddle lights and noticed driver side mirror signal and mirror defogger don’t work. It’s possible that it was like that already but my question is if the wires on new puddle light are reversed, could that maybe cause my problem? I am going to try and reverse wires just to settle my brain. Lol

ok so on my 2012 edge i tried that and the lens came off.and the housing is still in the assembly and will not come out....any ideas????...and by the way your video is very clear and discrptive.but i just dont get it my mirror is the exact same as yours.please help.as i have to take out those lights becsuse my passenger side ftont foor ajar is on and wont turn off my lights....thanks
I was just going to replace the bulb in my 2013 Ford Fusion, but it looks like I broke the little snap trying to get it out. Your website has a video titled " For difficult to remove lights (Ford Fusion)", but the link is dead. :/

Our Fusion LED puddle lights now perform perfectly in the Fusion. No flicker at all.

Hello,did you find the fuse for this lamps?mine don't work,took them of,put 12 V and the light...so,I guess is a broken fuse..but can't find it anywhere!!
@@danisan551 you should be able to find where the fuse box is by looking at the owners manual
@@kc300c I search it on manual,on internet..no separate fuse just for this puddle lights...Some people say that the light only at night time,because are in tune with the light sensor...I will see tonight

The battery in all Ford products are bluetooth so there shouldn't be any wires connected to them. check your connection between the flux capacitor and the orbital transducer.
that clear cover isnt on my car, the bulb is rattling around in there. will you send me 2 of them to plug in? i will pay you! winter is coming and that is asking for problems.

Can anyone report success with very bright new bulbs?
I bought the puddle lights and removed the original lamp. It was hell getting it out and ended up pulling by force the light with a pair of pliers. The led light came with the 2 wires and there is no way to disconnect them, so I tried various positions to engage the 4 wires. End result, I broke the original pudle light and the other new led lights don't light up at all. Going to the dealership to have it fix and reinstall an original one to my vehicle.

I bought a set off ebay and they won't snap back in place. The tabs aren't identical to oem.. they're close but not close enough to snap in place
Exactly the tabs look pretty much the same but then can't be coz it's a hell of a pain in the arse to push them back in and they don't sit into the slot properly

Can someone please explain how to adjust the time of the puddle lights cause I got them and put them in on my 2002 mercury sable and they work but when I open the door they stay on for about 15 minutes and that’s wayyyy too long
daniel b.... i have just install new puddle lights in my 2012 ford taurus, and they work well immediately, but when I open the car by remote later that night, they came on and so did all the interior lights..and all interior and the puddle stayed on very long, too long, until I ended up disconnecting the battery...Did you fund any solution for your issues with your puddle staying on longer than normal, and if so, what was it?
joseph russell The lights are timed and you change that time with a Ford program called FORScan. It's free for the download.

I wish my came out that easy. I'm having a hard time removing mine with the whole mirror assembly disassembled to replace the turn signal indicator. Mine is in TIGHT. Even with pushing from the backside of the puddle lamp.

My puddle light isn't coming out that easy at all. It sticks once I try and pry it out. I feel like I'm gonna rip off the entire mirror because of all the pressure in using. Is there any other suggestions you can give me? I'm assuming it's never been replaced / removed yet and it's in there good.

same here, on my 17 fusion sport, the clip side is out, but the other side won't budge
I had the same problem on my 2013 fusion I accidentally pushed the clip inside but not the other side which turn out to help...so just put out as much as possible the side with no clip and then just use the flat head screwdriver on the other side like you would normally would and comes out a lot easier at least for me it did...hope it helps someone because it was at first a pain in the ass to get out
Juan Pena Corona where did you buy your LEDs for your Fusion? I have a 2014 Fusion SE and want to do this but am having difficulty finding the right LED. Also did you have any troubles with the light pulsing? Everywhere I read people say that happened to them and the only solution is a resister.

Chickenwing Those lights are simple. The bulb needs to be replaced. If one side is not working, either you're not getting power to the light or the light is not grounded. Check the wires at the point where they come out of the door. One of those wires has been broken.

I swapped out my stock lights with LED's in my 2013 Fusion and now they pulse. Do you have any ideas what is causing this and how to prevent it?
I made the same mode using 30 MM Festoon LED's for my 2013 Explorer and it worked fine.
Jason Amerson it's because LEDs use less power than OEM so you need to get a resister to balance the power
Hi Slifer, i have almost the same problem, the led is turn but lights up with little brightness and when I open the door pulse once, What would be the value of the resistance that you advise me to install? Would it be parallel?

if it dint came from factory (OEM) than no i don't recommend you doing it.
If thy came LED from the factory you wouldn’t have to replace them.
I can’t specifically speak for the 150 but I have installed the LED puddle lamp replacement in three Taurus of the 2013/2014 model year and about to tackle for 2015 Expedition. The ones DAN Smith sells are truly plug and play and after the first one very easy. Follow the wiring connection correctly and you are fine. Even if you install wires backward there are only two per mirror you have a 50/50 shot if they don’t work then try again. I would recommend to check wiring connections and ops check prior to installing back in the mirror assembly. Literally takes about less than five minutes per mirror.
