Great video. This was way easier that I expected. The trickiest part was removing the retaining clip because I didn't have as much of a slot with my 2015 MKC as you did on your demo vehicle but having the replacement part I could see exactly where to put my small screwdriver to put prying pressure. Worked like a charm and the part was installed in less than 3 minutes. Thank you.

did this and both led puddle lights failed after about 2-3 mins, any ideas?

I bought the puddle lights and removed the original lamp. It was hell getting it out and ended up pulling by force the light with a pair of pliers. The led light came with the 2 wires and there is no way to disconnect them, so I tried various positions to engage the 4 wires. End result, I broke the original pudle light and the other new led lights don't light up at all. Going to the dealership to have it fix and reinstall an original one to my vehicle.

I rather pay someone to do this, at least i kno its done right , all these drl installs r jus too much wrk :/

So these will only come on after dark? if so, let folks know this ..you say pop them in open the door they should come on~people on youtube go by what's said by the poster. everyone is not mechanically inclined etc. fill in every detail . all the other you explained perfect. thanks.

I was just going to replace the bulb in my 2013 Ford Fusion, but it looks like I broke the little snap trying to get it out. Your website has a video titled " For difficult to remove lights (Ford Fusion)", but the link is dead. :/

Any idea why my puddle light keeps shutting off right away after opening the door? I've tried everything

I wish my came out that easy. I'm having a hard time removing mine with the whole mirror assembly disassembled to replace the turn signal indicator. Mine is in TIGHT. Even with pushing from the backside of the puddle lamp.

My puddle light keeps flicker now. I changed it to Red LEDs and whenever the puddle lights come on they flicker red, how do I make them solid instead

Great video! I did upgrade on puddle lights and noticed driver side mirror signal and mirror defogger don’t work. It’s possible that it was like that already but my question is if the wires on new puddle light are reversed, could that maybe cause my problem? I am going to try and reverse wires just to settle my brain. Lol

ok so on my 2012 edge i tried that and the lens came off.and the housing is still in the assembly and will not come out....any ideas????...and by the way your video is very clear and discrptive.but i just dont get it my mirror is the exact same as yours.please help.as i have to take out those lights becsuse my passenger side ftont foor ajar is on and wont turn off my lights....thanks
