I really hope they add castles. Would be cool to be able to build walls like the roads, and adding towers a stone keep perhaps etc.
I heard they are working on getting castles into the game, but not going to happen when early access release
They have said there will be walls and castles. I hope it comes with the release.
Will be glorious I hope console release isn't far tho
I hope that they implement batteringrams to bring those castles down
We need Walls !!
I have never before been so unbelievably exited for a title, I have been waiting for this for YEARS and judging by all i’ve seen we shant be disappointed
I would actively tone down the excitement. This UA-camr and every other are actively over promising what is actually being shown for clicks
@@Deathelement53the dev is very honest and so far hasn’t over promised. But UA-camrs obviously hype things up. Manor Lords is what I always wanted though.
You know the map design is good when it gives you childhood nostalgic memories.
Castle and small siege would be very cool to have a complete medieval game and please I hope diplomacy isnt like bannerlord
whats wrong with diplomacy in bannerlord?
@@arktzen it is simply bad
@@emrecanarduc4378 since i havent played bannerlord: can you quickly elaborate why it's bad? is it not working and thus is not an option?
@@arktzenDiplomatic options in Bannerlord:
Make peace
Declare war
@@arktzen its simple there is not xD
Sick! Great breakdown
Are you gonna do a video on it Nano?
@@RandyRandomised I might, I didnt get early access though so its gonna be a while
@@Nanoytgaming il look forward to it🤗
I'm so happy for the dev who worked on this game, I'm very excited for the release 😊
about to become a millionaire over night!
I believe it's by Greg Styczeń (STEE-chen)
Images on Unit Cards reminds a lot of real old paintings.
Im almost sure.
GameStar is so old but gold, I used to buy their magazines which had CDs/DVDs in them with games when I was a small kid, and that's been a while by now 😂
That's how I got in touch with games like Stronghold for the very first time. They've been around since pre 2000, I'm pretty sure.
I’m glad I didn’t get my hopes up for huge total war size battles! Since I set my expectations right I’m actually quite impressed with how the battles look. Also everything happening dynamically kinda like age of empires. I’m here for it!
That icon with the arrows in the back is the Friendly Fire button.
I’m not sure why people are comparing this to Total War, it’s more like a more In-depth/realistic AoE with MUCH more QOL and Mechanics
When people see real time battles with blocks it infantry in formations, they automatically think of TW. Which is fair because they were the only games that really attempted it at a large scale.
But manor lords is not about waging Total War. It's about regional wars and raiding on a smaller scale. Which to me is pretty interesting and refreshing. I think TW players need to manage their expectations for this game, but I understand why they're flocking to this title after so many years of stagnation from CA
@@LordOfWar_sosi think manor lords should allow taking control of 1 character and participating in a battle.
Love the healthy influx of medieval games lately
yeah? noticed a ton of really great games are coming on q2 of 2024
There were always plenty of medieval games, I want more 16/17th century games
@@legitplayin6977 Not plenty of REALISTIC medieval games, but still I would appreciate that.
What other medieval games are there?
Does Dragons Dogma 2 count as a medieval game? xd
Great video!
Just a few units to have some intimate tactical battles, Love it!
God I can't wait for this game.
16 days....
I’ll be waiting for it to get more fleshed out and add castles and walls. I’m excited for that

Thank you for the updates for this game
Wow thank you! someone that posted the original link of the footage.
imagine this with a friend, co-op, massive world.
Thats what Im looking for, pretty sure it was hinted at years ago. Decided whether to lay claim to your friends lands or not....

Maurice Weber is the fucking Goat
Korrekt!
Aber so was von!
Meeehhh not a fan
I can't wait to see all the cool sruff they'll add overtime! It's already a masterpiece of a game, it can only go up!
I am going to sink an ungodly amount of time into this game. It's the sort of thing I dreamed of as a kid when playing Stronghold, Settlers and AoE. The combat looks PERFECT.
We need a Roman Empire mod and Lord of the Rings mod for Manor Lords
Fuck off with your mods, the game isn't even in early acces
Chill. Just enjoy that we finally get good medieval content again.
I hope we get mods from all eras@@Robin-sf3gk
I know a friend who was fortunate enough to participate in the beta test: this is definitely a game full of sincerity!
Maurice Weber is just one of the greatest experts on Games, especially anything relating to strategy and citybuilding.
Meh. RTS and Medieval games he's pretty good at.
He sucks at anything more strategic by his own admission. Most Paradox games essentially and everything even more in depth.
He also is a scoundrel that publicly shames people that disagree with him
@@sebastianliebmann6014yep, very vocal leftist.
@@raskolnikov6443 no just a israel "über alles" german
@@sebastianliebmann6014 a very good stance to have as a German and one that is one of the Principles of the BRD. Being left, being vocal, and being Pro Israel is all a W. I did not know or care for his political stance before, but it's nice to know.
I love how much they've improved on it, It looks much better than previously shown gameplay
Man I am so excited for this game, so much more than any other recent release!
This is basically KCD but a building simulator and RTS war simulator mixed together.
So it’s only similar to KCD at all because it’s medieval
Wish listed this 2 years ago, played the demo. Can't wait for it to release!
I wish there where more games like mount and blade , massive battles and you can control a character.
I wish bannerlord was a complete game
Myth of Empires game is the closest thing for this
Check out Vor Der Kroon, its a Bannerlord clone xd
As someone fascinated by the medieval period, I've been looking forward to this one for a long time. But the one thing I really have to try when this comes out is to build up my village then jump into the 3rd person mode in VR to actually *be* there. Ah, the new benefits of a game developed in Unreal Engine...
I love this but dont really like middle ages. Im either bronze and classical ages to modern warfare. I personally think a game where u start from caveman then build ur way to modern era is a good idea.
As far as I know by reading. on release the fences with gates will be added later in the game; like a city wall
It's funny that you mention skylines 2. I so desperately wish that Colossal could figure out how to handle curved roads. This guy did it and he did 90% of that development SOLO.
Colossal order and Paradox shipped an incomplete alpha game out and charged full price for it then became offended when they received bad feedback. They should be ashamed. CO used to be a studio I admired, and I had vey high hopes for CS:2. disappointment of the decade. Just another crap fest. I've very grateful this wonderful game doesn't have a trash publisher involved and also is taking the time and care and has the integrity to release a great game. I admire this dev. A lot of hard work and effort has gone into this for years.
thx for content
Praise Lord! Henry is here! Henry came to visit us!
I'm guessing the multiple arrows button is for volley fire on a general area, and the human pincushion dude is for concentrating on a specific enemy.
Gamestar is crazy. The only Game Magazin I have read from 1997 till now. They really get first drop on the big and small devs every time...
Modders are going to have a field day with this game
I really hope this game lives up to my expectation.
I’m super excited for the release. I was thinking and I’d like to see Kingdom Come Deliverance, Mount & Blade 2, Medieval Dynasty and this game get a room and make that perfect medieval simulator we’ve all dreamed of.
I hope they add awesome content in small DLCs like in Anno 1800. maybe a noble system, Castles or monestries
good lords! look at winter scenery atmosphere. I think it does looks like from game of thrones! epic!!
I am so STOKED for this game!!!!!
just waiting , best game of the year i tell ya
Lol I can't believe this is only 2 weeks away
In the bg3 show where they showed the infamous "Bear scene"Maurice is sitting there in the first row lmao
really looking forward to the game, he mentioned there migth be modding too in the future, would be absolute amazing, but its hopefully gonna be an amazing game nontheless we can sink thousands of hrs into
Looks like ima miss the release, i go to bootcamp on the 23rd. Cant wait to see it once im able.
I can't wait to watch Spiffing Brit destroy the balance of this game lol
Motte and baileys would be nice, with eventual Keeps, but i think Castles would be out of scope for a mere Lord or Baron, that is more Duke and King level.
Would be awesome to have a hierarchy, where you manage the Lords beneath you, but are still responsible for your own area/castle and levy. That could lead to larger battles where your allies are controlled by the AI/multiplayer, allowing for loyalty and deceit.
I hope u can personally take control like an fps or tps thing like bannerlorrd
arrows and shield is missile alert it says in the very next clip.. chance to block missiles, but lovers melee defence.. Arrow point down is Give Ground slowly moving backwards to lure the enemy to follow.
I think I will wait until cavalry and castles have ben added. Hopefully 2025.
Maurice der GOAT!!!
I'm normally very jaded when it comes to hype and new releases, but this might be the biggest one I've recently looked forward to! I hope we don't get disappointed, but the alpha was already good.
I think what this game really needs ultimately is the ability to become king. If you were able to conquer and or acquire enough land and an army big enough. And in castles and siege weapons in this game would be amazing
I don’t see how it could remain a city builder if you had 100 villages to run as a king though
I don't have any issue with the battle size. Keep in mind that kingdoms could normally only muster a few thousand men at this time. The Kingdom of England had 5000 men at Stamford Bridge. A local battle between two villages/counties would therefore probably only muster a hundred/two hundred men.
Manor Lords is to be set 300 years after Stamford Bridge (Stamford Bridge was 1065/1066, this is 14th Century so 1300AD onwards), but you are right to a degree. There would only be a few thousand people per village, and only a few hundred of them being "fighting-age males"
It would be cool if there are rivers in this game to build a village by
i hope the castle construction is in depth i want to build a massive citadel
dont think castles are in yet
@@henrikbuchholz1983 the demo allowed you to build a simple wooden castle
@@_Yomoholo_this wooden castle is more customeable but not more for now. The rest will come later in the game. They want to work on walls etc.
So how do people get into your village? Do they just spawn in as you build their houses? Also, is there a birth system? Can't quite remember from when I played the demo.
Migration mostly
I think they spawn in your village.
@@raskolnikov6443 I remember from the demo that migrating people just came in walking on the road. No idea if they actually spawned.
I have a question for people who have been following this game closer than I have. Does winning a defensive battle also impact you positively in some tactical way? Are those bandits you killed actual villagers from a nearby village and now their economy/defense is worse because you killed their men? If it doesn't work this way then being raided might always feel like you're losing something and slowing draining away your villagers rather than getting a tactical advantage through a good defense.
Their were no Information about that. But a lot of this game goes with realitic events that would happen in the medival times and killing bandits had mostly no benefits except u protected your villiage. You might be able to fight for area that u then get but not confirmed or said somewhere most we will see when its released
does it have a night/day cycle?
Lost count how many times the phrase "full version" was uttered in the video. THIS IS NOT THE FULL VERSION AS IT'S EARLY ACCESS. We can be happy if the FULL version is even ready by 2027. Like most games under that publisher's umbrella, the early access games takes yeeeeears.
So dont call this "Full Version" as it's NOT. Early Access is *not* Full version.
Sure I know you mean more finished than the demo that came out ages ago, sure. Still the fact is that this footage and the game everyone can get on the 26th is NOT the full version.
I was personally very interested in this one, even hyped when it got a release date. But as soon as I found out it was just another early access game... most of my excitement went away.
the only early access game i would buy this year.
I do hope he makes units vault over walls and fences and not just walk trough them. And that will slow them down a little...Then you use the terrain more tactical wise.
And would be nice if some units can hide in forest's. And one thing that for sure needs to be changed is arrows getting blocked by houses ect since now it just goes right trough the roof and your units behind buildings are still vulnerable.
I also would hope you can choose to try to take regions by force. Seems a little silly to restrict the game play to essentially just defense and diplomacy.
The main campaign apparently allows that. In the trailer you are fighting against a illegitimate Barron that owns another region.
Well obviously. Enemy AI settlements will not be there at EA release tough for obvious reasons. Economy and city building habe to be further developed first. Only then does it make sense to build the AI.
@raskolnikov6443 I think it would be fairly "obvious" that if they don't include an attacking mechanic, they will lose a huge amount of their player base long before it ever leaves EA.
3:42, speculates about what the icons mean. 4:19 shows exactly what the icons mean. 😅
Hope for multipleyr in the future
Interesting name at 8:31
Where is the manor ? or small castle ?
How is the FPS performance?
im glad the paths are not made by the villigers like in ostriv, its not looking good when you have 10 several straight paths to a location made by the npc´s. just my opinion.
Do we know if we will be able to build walls or even castles (fortresses)?
Not in the ea version u can just build a small fort like in the demo. Get on their dc most is described their.
Battles seem a little clunky, but the visuals are very beutiful. The game looks amazing
Anyone know if there’s been an official discussion about modding? This game will be insane if the modding community gets their hands on it.
I hope I pay for it, download it, play it, and continue to play it. Very few games that have come out recently have been worth the price.
hoping that community can mod this game not like a certain game we knew
BONER LORDS! RISE UP!
I hope this releases on Xbox on the 26th aswell 😅

The dynamic road formation would be difficult to make realistic looking because AI walks in straight lines. Where as people will avoid all kinds of things, taller grass? Walk around, softer ground? Probably will get Muddy when it's spring, so they will Walk around it then. So I am glad SM removed it. We can form our own cool looking roads.
I hope it has witch dunking
Not really a thing in the medieval period. Witch hunts were a pre Christian pagan tradition. The medieval Church had a positive view of magic (originating from God) and discouraged people from witch hunting and accusations. Only in the early modern period did that change (though it was mostly, not exclusively though, worldly courts not the church). Slavic is going for realism not popular tropes.
All of this for 10 seconds of a battle...

anyone got a guess on the price of the game?

No
I couldn't put the demo down, I had to force myself to uninstall it in November so I could stop playing it.
this is how aoe4 should look like
Im still skeptical of this game, but i really hope its everything it seems to be
This will be a Call of Duty killer! Did you see that this game has an options screen! Will this be available on Nokia?

There is no multiplayer
How much longer do they need to work on this? It feels like an eternity later. In the last year everything has changed now in my life LOL. I was able to have newborn twins that are 3 months old. Maybe by the time the game hits the store, my kids will have graduated high school.

I'm more disappointed than probably anyone really should be that the natural paths forming were removed from the game. Little details like that makes it really feel like there is an evolution to the settlement that occurs outside the direct control of the player.
Wasn’t part of the demo either. I prefer it to be left out. People walk in straight lines so you have a bunch of straight roads. This looks much more natural.
Hold your excitement guys. Dont go to this game expecting a very immersive and amazing combat system. It is not the point of the game and im afraid too much atention has been diverted towards it.
