    It's always interesting to see the guns in the background. A month or two ago it was all Turkish shotguns. Recently it was ARs, now it's lever guns, rifles, and lots of wood.

    So glad I bought most of my WWII collection in the early 00's. It was way cheaper. I got my Krag for $350. You could buy Mosin Rifles at Dick's for $80! The prices now would have discouraged me.

    Stuff like this never seems to come up in my area. Best deals i've seen in the last 6 months were a Marlin Model 60 for $100 at my local gunstore and i paid that much because it was made in 1985 so it had an 18 round mag and bolt hold open. The other decent used gun deal that came in was a Thompson Center Renegade Hunter. Cost me $300 but the thing was cherry like it was new out of the box despite being 10 years old

    I was gifted a Savage 87D (made 1948 - 1960 by my resesrch) by an older guy I do a lot of work for. It's aka the clickety clack or the gill gun for its reciever venting. Clickety clack because the way it cycles. If you hold the trigger it doesn't go back into battery until you release the trigger. Great gun so far! Can't wait to donk some squirrels with it this week. I did donk 2 in the peanut with my Umarex Origin PCP rifle on this mornings hunting trip though.

    Man I'm spent out. Why couldn't I have been born rich? I do have 2 Lugers though. One thing that surprised me a little when I first shot the 1915 one was just how absolutely dead on the sights are, Taurus can't seem to do that with many of their offerings.

    • @joshuagibson2520
      @joshuagibson2520 2 роки тому

      Have you tried different brands or velocities of ammo. It can make a huge difference to be honest. Most of my guns aren't terribly ammo picky, but they absolutely shoot better with some than with others.

When you're talking about different loads and different bullet weights I've been reloading for years and have a pretty good understanding of how it works and I can say the biggest difference I've seen at that distance is about an inch.
