Space Jam was a complete movie. Good balance of toons and live action. Great sound track. Good plot and cameos, plus the side story of the NBA players going through the loss of their skill was a great touch. I appreciated it much more now that I’m older. Space Jam 2 flopped.

My biggest problem with the first Space Jam was that when they kidnapped MJ, he was playing golf with Larry Bird. Why didn't they take Bird while they were at it? I know Bird was retired and a physical wreck, but they should be able to fix that in toon world, then they'd have two all-time greats and the game with the Mon-Stars wouldn't be that close.

Man listen, Space Jam didn’t need no sequel, this movie alone was a classic with the best basketball player of all time Michael Jordan in it. Difference is, Looney Tunes drafted MJ because he was the best and needed his leadership and talent to win the game (although he wasn’t even playing basketball in the movie, he was playing baseball), LJ wasn’t drafted by Looney Tunes, he just happen to land in their world and Looney Tunes ended playing with LJ. At the end of the day Michael Jordan not only was the best player but also a wayyyy better actor hands down. MJ knew how to motivate his team when they were down, LJ was happy when he thought MJ was going to join the team to save the game 😂. I’m conclusion guys, no matter how hard LJ tries to copy the great MJ whether it’s his wearing his #23 jersey number, the chalk toss, the sneaker hustle, the cigars and now the Space Jam movie, at the end MJ will always be the ORIGINAL one and the GOAT!!
The original Space Jam is better on several grounds... 1) there was an actual reason for the film to be made as there was a lot of charm regarding the Jordan/Bugs commercials and 2) it was not a blatant attempt by Warner Brothers to say 'hey look at all these other intellectual properties we have that we won't ever do anything with'

Difference is, Looney Tunes drafted MJ because he was the best and needed his leadership and talent to win the game (although he wasn’t even playing basketball in the movie, he was playing baseball), LJ wasn’t drafted by Looney Tunes, he just happen to land in their world and Looney Tunes ended playing with LJ. At the end of the day Michael Jordan not only was the best player but also a wayyyy better actor hands down. MJ knew how to motivate his team when they were down, LJ was happy when he thought MJ was going to join the team to save the game 😂. I’m conclusion guys, no matter how hard LJ tries to copy the great MJ whether it’s his wearing his #23 jersey number, the chalk toss, the sneaker hustle, the cigars and now the Space Jam movie, at the end MJ will always be the ORIGINAL one and the GOAT!!
Remake, not a sequel
The original Space Jam is better on several grounds... 1) there was an actual reason for the film to be made as there was a lot of charm regarding the Jordan/Bugs commercials and 2) it was not a blatant attempt by Warner Brothers to say 'hey look at all these other intellectual properties we have that we won't ever do anything with'
Plus they should have added Micheal Jordan in it like he suppose to be

The OG Space Jam wasn't a masterpiece but it had/has far more going for it than this sequel that nobody asked for.

Don't need a 10 minute video to answer this one. Just the fact that they made pt.2 is wrong. For James to agree to do it is sad jealousy.
Space jam 1 was better but people are hating on space jam 2 way too much
