Rammstein (Rahm-shtine - long 'i') is on my list of bands to suggest. While I love that you did this one, I feel like going back to their roots and coming up through would have been a better start for you as far as exposure to the band goes. In live shows, there's a great deal of showmanship, real theatrics with a heavy dose of fire, as well as some humor in the show. Flak (keyboardist) and Til (vocalist) always seem to have a running bit from tour to tour where they are picking on each other in some fun way - going all the way back to the Live Aus Berlin show in 1998. They started off as an East German area band in the early 90s, embracing the soviet slum manufacturing atmosphere around them, and creating an Industrial Metal band. I got into this band through friends in Poland when I first visited that country in 1998, and by then, Rammstein had two albums out: Herzeleid and Sehnsucht. I realized very early on (as a language geek) that most of their songs, if not all, really, are morbid love songs (or songs of strained relationships) with very deep lyrics and a lot of metaphorical value. I'll be shooting more suggestions your way, going back into the earlier stuff so you'll get the 'inside jokes' that you see. Their evolution is awesome to see.
Because of this song, among other things, the album on which the song was released was placed on the Index for Media Harmful to Young People in Germany. As a result, it could neither be advertised nor visibly displayed on retailers' shelves. Rammstein then sued the authorities, won and was awarded damages. The whole story about the censorship of the album led to the curiosity that Rammstein is the only band in Germany that had an album at number one in the charts that was on the index at the same time. There is a twist in the song. At first it seems to be about inflicting pain on someone else, but in the end it turns out to be about a person's desire to have pain inflicted on them.

saw them in San Antonio, Texas and it was the craziest shit I'd ever seen. As soon as the music kicked off , the bass and overall sound hit me so hard that I seriously felt that I may die of a heart attack or some other thing , but at the same time, I was ok with that because I was getting to live my best life in that moment and seeing fucking Rammstein !!!

For information, Till, the lead singer, has a diploma in "fireworks". He's the designer of every fireworks and flame thrower in their shows. There's even a venue in Paris, back in the days, where the venue started to burn because of the many flames they used. Since then, the venue banned the usage of flames throwers afterwards :D
