I love my Key amps. Got 2 500.1s running my subs and a 200.4 runnin my tweets and rear fill.
I have old school kicker zr and zx amps that still work fantastic to this day! I plan on buying more Kicker equipment in the future for my 2018 Chevy Colorado! Great job Kicker!

I just bought a key 200 to replace my current dsp, This key is feeding my kx 5 channel amp so it’s easy to setup.
Can you do a video on how to use it as stand alone dsp?

Chip shortages are still an issue. Unfortunately we don't have an official time frame yet.
This looks amazing, but I don't find 50×4 to be enough, my front components and rear coax are rated 125rms and I like them really loud. Also the sub version of the key is 300 rms at 2ohms or 500 rms at 1ohm, my 10 inch kicker L7S came in a factory box with a 2ohm impedance rated 600 rms. I want full power to my sub. The built in simplicity of the DSP is awesome, I don't care about an amplifiers size within reason, if you give me double the power you're currently offering I'm a buyer. Or add the DSP tech to the CX or KX amps. I'm willing to pay for the ease of use, rather than buying a separate DSP and then having to program it with a computer.
This is an affordable option, but not the right fit for everyone. We have more powerful 2 and 4 channel amps that may work better for you, or use the DSP functions of the KEY and send the signal to one of our more powerful amps - best of both worlds.

Does that Key have RCA outputs ? Or would you have to run the Key to another LOC to run it to another external amp?
@@julesbruchez-theartofgrapp9646Hi there. No I don't think it has RCA out. There is an advantage to using a hi to low, or LOC and that is the 9 or so volts you'll be sending to your more powerful amp. A strong clean signal is what all amps want. The increased dynamic range in your music from 9 volts pre will be evident.

It depends on the amplifier, the number of speakers and the number of voice coils per speaker. For example, if your amplifier is rated to play as low as 1 ohm and your speak is a dual voice coil 2 ohm, wiring in parallel to 1 ohm is acceptable. However, if you try to wire a dual voice coil 1 ohm speaker to that same amplifier, you wold have to wire in series to get a 2 ohm load, because wiring in parallel would result in 0.5 ohms, which is too low. Ultimately, the physics of speaker wiring is immutable. You must look at the specification of your amplifier and understand safe wiring practices involved.
I have 3 Kicker IX amps and 1 IQ amp and both take a beating and have never gone into prt!
Is 'clipping' distortion in the signal? So thats when speakers start playing dirty and risk damaging something?
That's correct, and it can happen for a few different reasons: Incorrect gain, source volume too high, going over input/output voltage range.

If I run this amp to my Focal PS 165 fxe active will I need a cap for my tweeters. I heard with or without would work
No, you shouldn't need a cap. If you choose to use one anyway, be sure to install it before you set up the amp's DSP.
How much a hz amplifier produces? Į asking because my speakers produces 45h, it will be from that 45hz with kicker amplifier? Speaker jbl gto 600c. Thank you
The KEY 200.4 has a frequency response of 20hz to 20kHz. www.kicker.com/key-2004-4-channel-smart-amplifier
Most of our mono amps have a frequency response of 20 or 25 to 200Hz.

What’s the dampening factor?
Could I run infinity component speakers (3ohm) on the key pushing 50w at 4ohm?
We rate the KEY200.4 for four ohm operation, "officially."
