Pitaka Pro was the 1st case I got this year. Even before I got the phone. However, magnet is so weak and it is slippery that I never put it on anymore.

I live in Argentina, where you cannot find any of these brand cases (nor the iphone 15 for that matter). I made a small trip this November, exchanged my 13 pro max for black titanium 15 pro max, and ordered 4 cases. Speck Presidio 2 grip case, nice and grippy Supcase UB Air mag case. Protective and really nice looking case, couldn't find one review on YT for this one. Fingerprint magnet like no other though, impossible to keep it clean more than 2 seconds. Finally two Spigen cases, nice and cheap brand. Aramid Enzo, clean and minimalistic, cool -well built -cheap case if you like aramid ones, much cheaper than mous, phone rebel, pitaka, etc. And the least expected to be my everyday go to, Ultra Hybrid black frost. Just incredible looking case with black titanium iphone. Note aside, Spigen has done wonders with magnets this year, stronger than ever. Now, reading all the comments, can't wait to get my hands on a Caudabe Sheath 😅
Some good options right there. That Spigen black frosted is a sleeper for sure. Also, I have a dedicated video on the sheath if you look at the description of this video. There’s also a purchase link right there that helps the channel. Thank you for watching!
Merry Christmas, tech-lovers everywhere. When I bought an iPhone 15 Pro Max (my first iPhone) I went on bit of a case buying spree. Thanks to channels like yours, the Caudabe Sheath perked my interest so I bought one whilst waiting for the Aspen to arrive and... Yea. It was the only case needed. Fit, finish and feel - perfect. It looks, and feels, fantastic. The texture of the case itself makes me want to handle the phone more. It's kind of like a fidget spinner for grown-ups. Coupled with a Sinjimoru grip, I couldn't ask for a better combo. I'm looking forward to the Aspen and I'm sure I'll enjoy breaking the leather in but it's going to have to go a long way to replace my Sheath as #1. Caudabe has a new fan.

Awesome vid! Def agree the Sheath is up there. Also my most used case currently. Surprised the Mous limitless didn’t make it but then again, it’s prob too bulky for your taste.
The Mous limitless is a great case. It's not necessarily too bulky for me, I just feel that these other cases are better options. Still though, can't go wrong with the limitless.
I have used the sheaths on my 15 pro max and the corners are loosening after only a month of use, got another one sent to me after getting support and it happened AGAIN! The cases are weak and mold. The 13 pro max version I used was literally more rigid than the 15 pro max, idk why they changed the material.
Which sheath are you using? They changed the material a few times but the regular colors should still be fine. I had all of the colors and they were fine. The eucalyptus was a little more loose. They really fixed it for the 16 series but the 15 original colors should still be good
@@Brians_tech used black for 13 pro max and 15 pro max, I have all 3 and when putting them side by side the 13 pro max looks perfect even after damage on the corners from drops, the 15 pro max is bending in on the bottom and top, making the case not symmetrical when on the phone and looks broken even after not even dropping it. Maybe I have a really picky eye for the alignment of the corners, but I would think for a $50 case it should be perfect.

Nice color on Andar. However, this list feels somewhat inconsistent to me. And I don't understand how you guys have Sheath on top. Synthesis is definitely better this year and there is Gen 5 for full package and Pitaka Pro for quality.
Interesting that you think it's inconsistent. But it's my top 10 list of all of the cases I've tried so far, which is definitely a lot of them. The sheath is a no brainer for number 1. The fit is great, buttons are great, and it checks all the boxes. Synthesis is a great case, but because of it's scratching a bit on the back, the difficulty to take it off, and the buttons, I believe it isn't as good as the sheath is. Gen 5 and Pitaka Pro are both excellent as well, but just not number 1 for me. Like I said in the video, to even get on this list is already a win because of how many cases there are on the market. To be in the top 10, you can't go wrong with any of those options.

I mean, it is not clear why specific case is higher or lower then its neighbors. For example, why Benks Air is higher than Gen 5 but lower than Synthesis. I cannot even put Armor Air side by side to these guys - they are so different. I own all three but don't follow the logic. @@Brians_tech

I also don't fully understand why so many reviewers say Synthesis is scratch prone. I used my Sheath for 13PM for maybe 6 months (because Pitaka Pro was so much much better) but it accumulated so many types of scratches. Sythesis on the other hand does not have any. From normal use Sheath seems to wear faster.
Good review. My only disappointment is all but one of these cases do not come with a built in kickstand. Who likes to look around for something to prop your phone up to watch a video or read an article, hands free? I don’t want to hold my cell phone up all the time with one hand. So, your #8, I guess, is for me. I’m still looking for others that come with a good kickstand. It would be nice if they all came with a screensaver option.
Why did you choose the Sheath over the Synthesis? Synthesis is harder, which makes the sides flap less than the Sheath and I saw magnets are stronger on the Synthesis too. I can agree that the design is probably better on the Sheath, but I'm more of a hard case person, so I'm thinking on going with the Synthesis. Also, you mentioned that the Synthesis back can scratch up a bit, would the Sheath be any better at this? Because they're supposed to have the same material. For the buttons, I saw they need a little bit of a break-in period, so in time, Sheath and Synthesis buttons should be the same
@@Brians_tech I was thinking on going with the Synthesis, because I don't like cases that the sides feel kind of "flappy", so I was searching for a harder case. But so many channels are recommending the Sheat, so I'm confused now
I use the phone for work outdoor. This is my third iphone. I'm coming from iphone 5 and iphone 7 which I'm still using. I saw the quadlock cases (or something like that) but I've heard that the magnetic ring for power seems to work not very well. I have no idea about cases but could you tell me or whoever read this, a couple of cases similar to quadlock system for driving? Thanks and I'm sorry my English
I think with the right car mount, such as the Pitaka car mount, a good magsafe case will allow you to have your phone connected to the car mount and it won't fall off. You may not necessarily need the Quadlock system.
Hi Brian…great video! Technically Tee turned me on to the Sheath a couple of years ago. I have had it on my 13 Pro Max and it looks as good as it did the first day I put it on! Definitely the best case out there by far!!! Keep up the great work…I enjoy your content!!
@johnmoreno1379 it’s a case by case basis. Just really depends on the case itself. The fact that it’s vegan leather doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t fit well. Not really a blanket statement, if you know what I mean.
Could you maybe show the grip of each case by sliding your finger along the back and sides of the case so we can get a rough estimate of how grippy it will be? I feel like this would add some nice information which almost nobody else shows in their reviews. Your content is also crazy good for 800 subscribers, I thought I was watching a channel with over 100k subs 😂
That’s a great idea. I’ll do that in my next Top 10 video for sure! And thank you so much for the compliments. Working hard to get the channel to that 100K 😂
How would the dbrand grip do on a medium drop? I’m between that and cadaube. If you had to reorder this same list but by drop protection what would be your 1-10? Also have you used the nomad sports case?
Dbrand grip should do well on a medium drop. It’s got some protection on it for sure. The number 1 case for drop protection would by far be the Phone Rebel gen 5. That thing is super protective. And I’ve used previous nomad sport cases, but not yet this year.
@@Brians_techI ended up buying the phone rebel gen 5 and I have to say it has a few things I don’t care for about it. It has no lip along the sides and when it slid out of my pocket it chipped the side of the screen protector which would have been prevented had it had even a slight lip there. Also, between the aramid fiber and the tpu there is a slight very slight gap and when I use the case outside working it always gets dirt inside the fine crack. I’m sure it’s a great case for a lot of people but it just has way too much going on and doesn’t feel solidly built. It feels more like a Porsche or a sports car and less like an suv or pickup.
Otterbox wouldn’t even come close to any of these cases. And phone rebel is extremely protective too but a much better case. Stay tuned to the channel. You’ll be surprised on how many options there are and how much better they are than otterbox cases lol.
@@Brians_tech I have the Ghostek Covert with the snapon and it’s really good and clips on tight. Also the snapon is magnetic so it works with the MagSafe very good.
Been over a week since I ordered my Tac and the order says it's still awaiting shipment. The website contact link is a dead link. I'm having to go through paypal to try to get my money back. ITS A SCAM!
ESR would come first for me. $29 with soft silicone and a kickstand. Affordable, Beautiful and functional. Apple silicone sucks with sharp cut outs at the bottom, insane price and quality issues.
Hey Brian, great content!! Noticed that wasn’t any Mous case on your top 10. I’m a minimalist type user so the Caudabe Sheath is also my number 1 case to use everyday!! But I would love to get your opinion on the Mous Aramid Fiber Super Thin Case compared to the Benks Armor Air that you mentioned. Thank you, merry Xmas and keep posting great content!!
Hi! Have you tried Spigen Slim Fit? What do you think about it? I am after not adding too much bulkiness and weight to an already large and heavy device. I chose the Spigen Slim Fit which at just 29 grams proved to be a very good companion for my iPhone 13PM for the past 2 years: good grip, tight fit, light and had no damage to my iPhone, although I dropped it for more than a few times on different surfaces. And it still sticks well to strong magnets, although not being marketed as “MagSafe case”- has no metal ring. But it has a magnet: for fingerprints. LoL Now as I’m waiting for the new iPhone 15PM to arrive I am doing a bit of research, maybe I could find something even better than Spigen Slim Fit case (why not a transparent case to showcase the beauty of natural titanium 😍)? I don’t know what to say about these tough (carbon/kevlar) cases. Are they really protective? To my basic knowledge, a touch material would only allow the shockwave to travel further, without absorbing it. But maybe I’m wrong. Can you recommend something based on my preferences? Pitaka MagEZ PRO4? Benks armor air? Something else? Forgot to mention that I’m using glass screen protector and I need the case to be washable, so I can wash it whenever I want with hand soap (I guess that criteria excludes the leather cases which are anyway heavy and bulky by their nature).
Ok so let’s break this down a bit. If you’re looking for something pretty slim, I would say the Benks Armor Air It’s a super thin, minimal case. If you want some more protection, I would definitely look at caudabe (either the sheath or synthesis), or the Pitaka Pro. If you want even more protection but also not crazy thick, I’d say phone rebel gen 5 (or frosted or crystal). That’s the most protective case on that list with built in shock absorption material. Also, it comes with a screen protector right in the box. It’s not too thick but it’s very protective and works with most screen protectors. I hope that answered your question. If not, let me know what other criteria you’re looking for and I can help further.
Yeah this video was released a few months before that came out. I have a part 2 coming out fairly soon. I made a video on the Bullstrap that is closed bottom. It’s on my channel.
USB type c opening on all cases needs to be much bigger. If you have a job that requires you to have access to a flash drive or in college like me. It’s very annoying that I have to take the case off to plug in a flash drive and please don’t tell me to was money on an adapter when I can just plug straight into my phone.

I seriously can’t get myself into Caudabe Synthesis and Sheath, the texture of both are just awful coming from Apple Silicone case which has smooth texture. It feel like I’m holding a brick covered with sandpaper while using the Caudabe cases, it isn’t a pleasant experience.
How did you come up with the brick covered with sandpaper assessment? I have a Synthesis (and handled a family member’s Sheath) and don’t see it, at all. That being said, I prefer the Sheath over the Synthesis for the slightly softer feel. The Synthesis is stiff and rigid. I’ve had Apple Silicone cases. Great form factor, but I could never get over the odd silky, soft feel of the case. And too much all-over grip.

I have a few cases on my channel with kickstands that are pretty good. I’ll be reviewing another one very soon, so look out for that.
@@Brians_tech Thanks, Brian! I’ll check them out.
For the buttons, I saw they need a little bit of a break-in period, so in time, Sheath and Synthesis buttons should be the same
I prefer the fit, feel and look of the Sheath over the Synthesis. The Synthesis back scratches a bit, whereas the Sheath does not.
@@Brians_tech I see, thanks for the feedback. Maybe Sythesis has harder material and might be more scratchable, I don't know
@@Brians_tech I was thinking on going with the Synthesis, because I don't like cases that the sides feel kind of "flappy", so I was searching for a harder case. But so many channels are recommending the Sheat, so I'm confused now
@Lchends I wouldn’t say the sides are flappy at all. It’s got an excellent fit and checks all the boxes. Sheath is so solid.
Great video. Grip being key for me, I went rebel. Awesome grip. Agreed with the small usb hole.
Dbrand grip is the King for me, Solid grip & protection, not the best Magsafe but i put a Magnet Ring in the back & problem solved 👍
The Dbrand ghost case is excellent as well. I love mine! Buttons are great, not slippery.
The only issue is that it scratches if you even look at it the wrong way lol. Is yours scratched up?
@@Brians_tech no mines completely fine.
Excellent - and very helpful - video as I plan my purchase of the phone and case. Could you also include a link to your screen protector?
Thank you! Any cases that are in the video have the link in the description. Here's the link to the screen protector: amzn.to/3StwF2m
Hi Brian…great video! Technically Tee turned me on to the Sheath a couple of years ago. I have had it on my 13 Pro Max and it looks as good as it did the first day I put it on! Definitely the best case out there by far!!! Keep up the great work…I enjoy your content!!
Hi, thank you so much! Yeah Tee has a great channel, for sure!
Nice review 👍🏽
Almost the top 3
I have the andar aspen red too 👌🏽
And the cuadabe sheath garnet red.
My second place is for Spigen enzo
Nice list right there
guess ill get another sheath since im getting a 15 Pro Max🤷🏾♂️
Hell yeah. Love the intro lol
😂
@@Brians_tech except with bullstrap of course
Of course 😂😂
Does the ESR silicon attracts as much lint as apple silicon?
So all silicone will attract some sort of lint, but no, not as bad as the Apple Silicone.
I heard and read a couple of reviews the vegan leather they dont fit snugly? Thank you
They fit similarly to other leather cases, in my experience.
And they don't pop out easily right?
@johnmoreno1379 it’s a case by case basis. Just really depends on the case itself. The fact that it’s vegan leather doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t fit well. Not really a blanket statement, if you know what I mean.
@@Brians_tech Sound' good, thank you so much
May I ask if you have used Magbak before ? What are your thoughts and opinions on that case?
I have not but I’m buying one very soon so stay tuned for that video!
@@Brians_tech Great. I definitely will. I will hold off buying any new cases at the moment.
I have most of the cases on the top 10. Not a bad list. You really should try out the Nillkin Magnetic Aramid Fiber Case - You can thank me later 😏
I’ll have to check it out!
Thanks! Ordered the ERS case in blue with the kickstand!
Nice! Good choice. Thank you for watching.
Awesome video! Love my Sheath case! it really does check all the boxes.
Thank you! It really does.
Otterbox is the best protection case should be number 1
Otterbox wouldn’t even come close to any of these cases. And phone rebel is extremely protective too but a much better case. Stay tuned to the channel. You’ll be surprised on how many options there are and how much better they are than otterbox cases lol.
You don’t like the mous limitless 2.0 ???
I do, but it’s not in my top 10.
@@Brians_tech I have the Ghostek Covert with the snapon and it’s really good and clips on tight. Also the snapon is magnetic so it works with the MagSafe very good.
that's a solid review many of us were looking for ! Thank Bryan ! Amazing !
Thank you!
Been over a week since I ordered my Tac and the order says it's still awaiting shipment. The website contact link is a dead link. I'm having to go through paypal to try to get my money back. ITS A SCAM!

Phone rebel gen 5
@@Brians_tech thx a lot and Happy New Year 🎆
@orbion2922 thank you, Happy new year!
Otter box symmetry is awesome
Thank you! I have been meaning to check that Mous case out.
LoL
Now as I’m waiting for the new iPhone 15PM to arrive I am doing a bit of research, maybe I could find something even better than Spigen Slim Fit case (why not a transparent case to showcase the beauty of natural titanium 😍)?
@@Brians_tech Can you suggest me a case that has great drop protection? Pls i really need your help
Bullstrap has a full case
Yeah this video was released a few months before that came out. I have a part 2 coming out fairly soon. I made a video on the Bullstrap that is closed bottom. It’s on my channel.
Nothing beats Spigen
Which is the lightest
Out of all of these it’s going to be the Benks Armor Air
@@Brians_tech thank you! 😊
@Thisisme1919 no problem! The link to it is in the description and if you buy it make sure you use the discount code to save yourself some money!
USB type c opening on all cases needs to be much bigger. If you have a job that requires you to have access to a flash drive or in college like me. It’s very annoying that I have to take the case off to plug in a flash drive and please don’t tell me to was money on an adapter when I can just plug straight into my phone.
Very true. Plus some charging cables, like Anker’s, are wider.
Great Review, I bought some cases from Temu for under $5...great buy!

Is it better than andar ? what do you think of bullstrap ocean color ?
@@hocineted7594 I had the ocean for my white 13 pro and loved it. Bullstrap is nicer leather in my opinion but it’s also more money. But I think you get up to two free Bullstrap replacements per year if you break your case so that makes it more worth it

Benks Armor Air is better than Pitaka Mag EZ 4

Pitaka is a very slippery case.
The pro isn’t too bad.

I seriously can’t get myself into Caudabe Synthesis and Sheath, the texture of both are just awful coming from Apple Silicone case which has smooth texture. It feel like I’m holding a brick covered with sandpaper while using the Caudabe cases, it isn’t a pleasant experience.
That’s crazy to me lol. I love the extra grip and it’s not too rough. But hey everyone prefers their own thing. Thanks for watching!
