Confirmed these batteries work
Thank you so much for this video. I'm an 63 year old woman and they wanted to charge me 90.00. Just to change it, again thanks so much😊
There's a senior discount at age 65. 10% off😊
I can't thank you enough for your clear video. The owner's manual for the 2020 Santa Fe was useless; just said stick a flat tool in the slot......what slot. I struggled for over 20 minutes using brute force and was afraid I would crack the case when I finally found your video. Once I followed your instructions I was done in 2 minutes. Thanks again.
You should have also mentioned what type of battery the fob uses.(CR2032)
Your instructions were the best! I was able to replace batteries in both fobs in less than 5 minutes.
Thank you for the easiest way to explain how to change the battery. Simple and straightforward. Much appreciated
Excellent instructions!! Made the switch over very easy. Thank-you!
Better than the owner's manual instructions!
Thank you so much, Mine died during severe weather here in Canada, But tomorrow morning I am buying new batteries and installing myself, Loved the straightforward clear and concise instructions from you, working with a 2018 Kona.
Today's update do not use cheap Dollar store batteries they don't work. Went to an auto parts shop and they gave me the right ones. I installed myself following this video, and works perfect. Again thank you so much. Cost me around $5.00.
Thanks, the manual has none of this info. Made the job very easy
Literally it doesn't it's like they want you to go to the dealer for this and probably charge $50. Smfh
Thank you so much! Other videos didn't show how to get it open.
Thank you kindly for this video. I was able to R/R the 2032 button battery without destroying the fob. My daughter is a very happy camper because now she will not need to make an appointment and spend her ching ching. : )
The only video that's really easy to follow and swap.
Couldn't figure out how to open the cover on the battery, started to pry it. Just need to slide it out. Great design, I almost mangled it. Many thanks!
Thanks for the help! I was afraid that I might break it. It took 10 seconds after watching your video.
This is great. You saved me a lot of time & headache.
Thank you for posting this video! Great Explanation, Easy!
Fantastic video. Worked a dream on both my wife’s Kona remotes. Thx heaps
Thanks! This method helped me with my 2018 Elantra GT's Smart Remote. It's the same but with slightly different internals.
Easy instructions...straight to the point! Thank you!
Thank you! My key fob is different , but it’s Hyundai . Your method helped me. Big thanks !
Awesome video big help! Also found the batterys at Dollar General 2 pack for $5!
Thanks!!!!!! Thought my car had issues. You are a life saver!!
Your a life saver thank god these fobs don’t use those $30 dollar ones like Chevy fobs
Thanks, nice to see someone else do it as I have a tendency to use too much brawn for stuff like this.
Thank you that was very easy!!!
Thanks - that was a piece of cake after your explanation.
Thanks so much!!!!!!! Got it fixed!!!!!!
Thanks, simple, to the point, and easy to follow.
Thank you! The manual actually has the wrong instructions for my 2019 Santa Fe! :-)
Thank you! Great video!
Thank you so much! Easy directions! 🔑
Bro u just changed the game with the left turn with the screwdriver. Wow
Thank you so much for this explanation ! Very helpful for my Verna key
Couldn't get mine to pop open like that with a screwdriver. 2020 Kona. Didn't want to force it too hard and break anything. Glad some who watched your video had success. I did not.
Thanks, you made this "easy".
Thank you for this video! Gives confidence to car owners everywhere :)
Happy to help!
Whoa, great explanation!!! Thank you so much, you saved me some money 😄
Thanks George
Thanks so much for your easy instructions!!!
Happy to help!
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
Thank you. Much better than the manual.
Soooooo helpful. And it only cost me $7
Wonder if the new FOBS do a lot more since my 2013 Santa Fe fobs still work with original batteries yet the 2020 Kona fob already required a battery change
This video was perfect, thank you!
Easy instructions thank you 😊
you made it so easy man, thank you!!
Worked for my 2020 Veloster key, which is very slightly different.
Thank you so very much!
Thank you very much! It's a big help!
I have a 2020 Santa Fe. I lost one of my "smart" keys and was looking to replace it. I am using my spare, but I need to replace the one I lost. The dealer wants over $400 for a new one and then $129 to program it! That is ridiculous, but that is why dealers are there; to GOUGE you. I found a couple of OEM ones on Ebay for about a hundred bucks. However, you have to be sure to get the one that matches the frequency of the car. I contacted a couple of these sellers and they said that you have to have a number and it's on the INSIDE of the fob. I looked at the fob and it is really scary because it's sealed pretty tight. I did a search on UA-cam because it seems there is a video for doing ANYTHING in the world. I knew that there must be a trick to opening it. I watched it, saw the screwdriver go into the slot and how EASY it opened. Well, I hate to say this. Mine didn't open like that!! I put a flat head screwdriver in that slot, twisted it and it BROKE the little tab that the screwdriver needs to use to open it. I guess that they have to be put together very tight in case it gets wet or something, but I didn't go ahead and go further. There is a locksmith that I am going to go see because he told me on the phone that he can get me a fob for far less than the dealership and program it for far less than the dealer. I hope that he can open this one up, he probably does and knows how because he does it more than I have done. Why can't things be simple in life?? Thanks for the video though. At least I know how to NOT do it next time. Meanwhile, I am still looking for the fob that I originally lost. It's got to be in my house because the car won't crank without one being in it. I even took my two cats aside and said, "Guys! I need your help! Daddy misplaced his smart key for the Santa Fe. Since you guys are so low to the ground, how about looking low and I'll look high and see if we can't find it! There is a big can of Lil Friskies in it for the one who finds it for me! How about it?" They looked at me and said, "MEOW!" and walked away! 😻😸
Most Hyundai key fobs run on a CR2032 battery. These are cheap batteries that are easy to find in Fernley or online. that the battery is making contact with all the appropriate connections.
Thank you!
Thank you! This helped greatly!
THANK YOU SO MUCH
Thank you! It's really great video, it helped me a lot.
Thanks a lot for best vedio
Thank you! It worked!!
One minute👍🏻
You’re a godsend!!!
And thank you! 🙌🏼
Thanks!
Thank you for this video.
If you do not have a flat screw driver, the key actually works pretty well.
Muchas gracias!!
Thank you brother!
thank you :)
The tip of the key has a screwdriver tip @:36 you don't need a screwdriver
Lost my fob but still had key. Bought another fob and now found the original. Do I have to have the found one programmed to open doors, etc.
Im glad I kept researching one video had guy pop sides I tried and was like No way the sides felt like going to break and I get cut
It worked. Thank you.
Great informative video
Thanks
Thank you!!
Very Thank you
Battery size?
I didn't even know that was an extra key in there
Why didn't you mention what kind of battery these keys use so we can buy the correct button battery in advance?
You can actually use the tip of the key instead of a flat head and push up!
What if it breaks while trying to open it?
❤
Good!!!!
Is this George from Bitcoin??? Sounds just like him
Replacement done, the key fob flashes red when buttons are pressed. I can manually open and lock the doors when pushing the buttons on the door and start the car, but the remote will not open or lock the doors. What´s wrong?
Driving a 2017 i30 by the way with just a button to start the car, no key insert.
It works 😊
George is that you?
Didn’t work for me. Kept opening the other side and couldn’t get to the battery without moving the motherboard.
My cover snapped. It’s the i30 proximity key
Why god o why to they make it so hard. A small easily accessible/seen compartment just like a kids toy would work fine.
Why is it so hard to put mine back together 😭😭😭
I dint knew key is battery powered, untill i saw the low battery alarm in my car dashboard..
It doesn't work for my Venus
D-O......Where to use the emergency key ? No key slot in doors, dash or hatch.
I'd like to know as well
You have to remove the little panel next to the handle. It has a think under that you pull and then pull the cover as you pull the handle. To start your car just push the button with the key.
The video would of been better if you let us know the voltage of the battery . 2032 ??????
Voila, not wa-la!
OMG, randomly ended up needing this info only to find @cryptosrus narrating the video! We are all George!
Thanks
Thank you so much!!
Thank you!
Thank you!
Thanks
