I'm from NC, and I remember, back in the day (60's-70's) when they lowered the ramps, onto the Ferry, they had a man, with a manual Block and Tackle, on both sides. Won't no button pushin! LOL

We live "kinda" local and used to do the Cedar Island ferry. Swan Quarter is SO much easier, especially if you are towing or have a camper.
