- There are plenty of options when it comes to wireless service providers in the United States. Known as Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs), many of these carriers offer excellent solutions and packages, often at a lower price point than the big players.
Here, Scott and Luke talk about one in particular, Tello. For better or worse, these are seven things you should know about the provider.
2:33 intro ends
Tello has the best $29 unlimited (really only a 25gig) plan for people who want higher levels of data and have family overseas. There are a lot of cheap players with large data balances in the MNVO world, BUT.. not all have free calling to 60 countries, including landlines, mobile phones, and free international texting. My spouse has her immediate family in Europe and she is on the phone with her mother every day. So Tello has the perfect mix for us. We bought an apple SE from the apple store and threw it on the service. I have my 12yo on the $14 2gig plan. I don't want her to have unlimited. I love this service.
Good presentation. Thanks for keeping to the point and highlighting things that matter. I started using Tello this week. So far, so good.
Any idea if you can port a number from AT&t to tello?
can you let the tello service lapse for a few weeks and then resume the service later? If so do they charge you for the lapsed time or a fee to resume service?
it’s not letting me pay i’m pressing finalize order and nothings happening what should i do
save yourself 2.5 minutes of your life....vid really starts at 2:35 basic general info here
I just got tello for me and my kids. I got them both 2g of data which they will really only be using on the bus and sometimes at school. they've had it for 3 days and their phones are eating up the data even when mobile data is turned off. They are both down to 1g already. How do I fix this. At this rate 2g won't even last a week.
Go with Visible lol
Has anyone tested them while traveling for long periods?
You forgot to talk about the service... is it good? did you try it? all you talked about is already on their website,,,
Tello's phone support is very good. They will step by step with you if need be like they just did with my father today. (he liked my service with them so much he is switching his jitterbug phones over to them.
I forgot to add they have email support as well that I know of.
@@michaeldemanicus603 That is great, but I do not join a phone company for support, I join to use their network to communicate with people,,, voice and text the very least., did you try their service?
@@CWfist Support is VERY important!
Actually no yet, I have tried Mint Mobile and was offered a 10 days unlimited by US Mobile but cannot make their SIM work on my phone, their support is somewhat lazy and seems to me they have no idea how to proceed. How is Tello signal and network?
This doesn’t support ultraband 😢
Can a tourist buy this plan?
Yes, they support esim now if you have a iPhone. Activate instantly.
I use my smartphone very little. 500 min talk with 5 gig data at 5G will cost ya 19 bucks, tax included. Beats anything else you can find. Service is fine, and WHO da hell wants to talk to customer service? If it quits working to your satisfaction, dump em. Its a no brainer.
not recommending tello. its website is misleading, especially its "unlimited data plan", where somewhere else using small font for "25G high speed, then 2G low speed data".
also, GOOD LUCK on dealing with the customer service.
Which MVNO do you have?
