If I drink too much endurance/calorie mix during a long race my muscles will feel over saturated and I’ll cramp really bad…. Also after a long race or long/hard ride where I have hydrated well I will be constantly going to the bathroom starting a couple of hours after said ride/race is completed.
Sorry, I'm a dummy. I think you might be saying rides over 2 hours long make it seem like you're gaining weight in the short term but are actually helping you lose weight in the long term. Is that right? And if so, why is the 2 hour mark important? And how many hours should I ride for maximum weight loss?
That's just water weight. Over the 2 hr mark I guess is when your glycogen gets really low-depends on your intensity. I've been riding 5 hr rides on the weekends and my daughter would mention that my belly is bigger than when I left home. I probably drank 6 liters of fluid.
Nice! Did a 6.5 hour trainer ride and came off a bit heavier. Now I know why
