10/10 for the whole presentation Kris, thanks i thoroughly enjoyed that. Some great angles on the sunrise and wildlife especially liked the hundreds of sunrises dew drops. Cheers, Steve.
Thanks Steve! I gotta say, I felt like one lucky guy to get that sunrise. Here hoping there will be more like that in the future! 😄 Appreciate the comment, Kris.
Your videos are amazing, You have inspired 3 friends to visit Scotland. You are the scottish David Attenborough! The videography is incredible and the voiceover really adds to it. Big fan of your work
I've just recently subscribed to your channel. I think the 1000 sunrises is the most beautiful natural wonder I have ever seen, i had to rewind and watch it again, superb
Thanks Elizabeth, it really is such a beautiful place! So much to see, I'd be happy if I get to see even half of what's out there. Appreciate the comment, Thanks! Kris.
Wow, that was stunning! New to your channel but I’ve liked & Subscribed. Loved that, it was brilliant. Glad you got the views you deserve, that is a moment you shall never forget and you captured it really well! Well done! 👏🏻
Some days it's like the planets have all aligned and you get the camp of a lifetime. Great video. Great footage, great editing, music and narration. I wish you many more camps like this!
Great film fella, you captured some top notch footage and your voice over was bang on. Very professional 👍. Enjoyed it . Cheers Kris all the best mate, Rick
Man... absolutely cracking, love the voice overs, you have an amazing descriptive vocabulary. What a stunning sight to wake up to. 👍👍👍 Keep them coming. Lee
I know im randomly asking but does anyone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account? I was stupid lost my account password. I appreciate any help you can give me
@Derek Caspian i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and I'm in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Cheers Iain! Yeah, I got to the summit about 8pm so I was lucky the midges were just heading to bed! Got nibbled a little bit but dodged the worst of it phew! 😁
Stunning Kris. Didn't know you were up here mate(didn't get a notification), as you know I up last week. Utterly stunning pal. Something special when that happens. I had a look at the flat area where you pitched but the wind was howling I think it was the flattest driest part of the hill. I carried 4l of water up that steep part to find a spring around the first prow on the ridge. What a sunset and brilliantly captured. Great watch mate. Cheers
Cheers Scott. Haha yeh it was a nice wee spot if the wind isn't there. Not even a gust the whole night. I ended up having to drink outta that wee river on the steep part of the hill haha
Finally watched this after hearing your voice up the loft 😂 great video Kris that must have been an amazing experience. Your head popping out the tent though 😆😆😆
Watching this on full screen made me feel like I was there. It must of been great witnessing that cloud inversion in person Kris. Nice MSR tent too mate.
Scottish Mountain Goat Don’t know if Robin has text you but we are hoping to do a group camp on the Pentlands hopefully within the next month we thought we would invite you.
Just subbed ... Really enjoying these films, the photography is lovely. I enjoyed the Ochils wild camp as well, think I've finally worked out which one you guys camped on lol. Liking that igniter gadget for your jetboil, I could certainly use one of those. Keep doing what you're doing, loving these films, love the inversion...
Thanks, really appreciate it! 😊 hehe it was hard to find a spot to pitch the tent on that hill in the ochills, but fantastic views if you do find one :D Yeh, those arc lighters are very handy! You can pick them up on amazon pretty cheap and you can just recharge them from a USB power bank if you run out. Thanks again, you've made my day 😉
That looked absoloutly wonderful , I am so pleased you woke up and looked of the tent. It made up for tyhe cloud and mist when you first reached the summit . That is surely going to be a morning you will remember for a very long time , Thank you for taking us along with you , Take care :D Teddy
Wow, that was great! You wait and wait for a good summit camp, and then you get a peach! Your films are a fantastic watch. Used to live up that way for a while and there’s some cracking hills and glens to explore. Cheers, look forward to your next outing
Cheers Leon, appreciate it! I'm jealous, I'd love to have all that on my doorstep. Look forward to finding some more hidden wee gems. Glen kendrum surpised me how good it was! Cheers, Kris.
Hi, just found your chanel when Googling wild camping on Tinto and I'm 3 video's in now! Starting out on wild camping just now and still buying gear - are you wearing the Vango Ozone backpack, any feedback on it? Cheers.
Thanks John! It's the osprey levity 60 I used in this one. Great backpack, super light and plenty of room (even for me) only downside is the price. Cheers! Kris.
Stunning inversion and loved the time lapses. 👌🏼That'll be hard to beat. How you finding your Osprey Levity pack, did you go for the one up from mine, the 60l? Do you not collect water from streams as and when you need it? You'll save yourself a bit of weight doing that. 👍🏻
Cheers man, I know, i've been spoiled the first time lol! Yeah i'm liking it, so much lighter than everything else i had. Still manage to fill it though haha :P I did get some water from the streams using the filter too, but it was so steep i couldn't film it haha. I was drinking like a horse it was soo hot tho lol. How much do you usually take with you?
@@ScottishMountainGoat nice one Kris, other than the lack of hip pockets I like mine. 😁 I wasn't sure if you carried in 3 litres from the car. I carry around 500ml at any one time and top up as I go. Then collect 2 litres for camp.
@@WalkWithWallace I know, where am i meant to stash the jelly babies?! I did carry it from the car haha, but i drank 2 of it on the way up. I might try and scale that back next time lol!
@@ScottishMountainGoat it's a rookie mistake. I carried 2 litres of water on my first wild camp and pitched next to a burn. 😂 Study the map for streams before you leave, water never usually far away in Scotland though.
@@WalkWithWallace Yeah, it's the whole dont do it with sheep above thing that puts me off. Unless you're on the summit, there's always sheep above! Lol
So true Martin haha. Wish I could get a wee trained mountain goat or something to come with me with a couple panniers on each side for the gear 😆 I can dream! Cheers! Kris.
Fantastic Kris I had a awesome inversion myself at the Arrochar Alps, no drone unfortunately. I'm not usually a fan of full narration films or totally silent ones either not a criticism just a personal preference. That was superb filming I would imagine if Tom Weir was still around and filming his it would be like this. You captured the essence and the magic of that experience. ATB. p.s. The narration was good it works with the great filming and its your style and I like it, most peoples I don't TBH.
Cheers Eddie! Yeh, not everyone's cup of tea. Just find i enjoy making them like this, and you know yourself how much time it takes to put the videos together, i gotta enjoy it or i'll go daft haha 😀 Appreciate the honest comments. Cheers! Kris.
Wonderfully captured and narrated. Brilliantly edited. Stunning.
