Glencoe - The Best Viewpoint - The Pink Rib Route
Glencoe has many brilliant sights and view points, but this hike takes me up to one of the best. With panoramic views over Glencoe, Rannoch moor and surrounding mountains, including Ben Nevis, It definitely ticks all the boxes.
This video follows a route up Beinn a'Chrulaiste known as the pink rib, a grade one scramble with beautiful views down Glencoe and over to mighty Buachaille Etive Mor.

Killin to Loch Tay - Good views with little effort
Переглядів 1,1 тис.Рік тому
With a forecast of snow on the hills, I was looking for a lower level walk with a view. Heading to the town of Killin, I found a route up into the mountains on the south shore of Loch Tay that would give me good views over to the Lawers range. A fantastic walk if you're visiting Killin and want some nice views across the loch without climbing any large mountains. Route: explore.osmaps.com/route...

The day starts in an icy Lochearnhead, Unsure if the equipment I brought will be enough to get me to the summit. A journey up Glen Kendrum to Creag Mac Ranaich, A stunning wee Corbett with a panoramic view over the southern highlands. A magical reward after a disappointing failure | Beinn Odhar | Tyndrum

This trip to Tyndrum takes me to the summit of a corbett Beinn Odhar, in search of views over the munro Beinn Dorain. I started the trip in the dark, leaving from Tyndrum and following part of the west highland way, alongside the road to Glencoe. Once I reached the summit, I found it to be cold and barren, covered in mist. I decided to head back down the mountain and was treated to an amazing l...

Elie Chain Walk

Just outside the little town of Elie in the Kingdom of Fife is a very unique, one of a kind little walk, the Elie chain walk. This is no simple walk however, the route involves a fair amount of scrambling up some vertical rock faces, albeit with some help from the chains. If that wasn't enough, you're on the clock as time is limited, with the tide closing in, threatening to cut you off. The sce...
The Hidden Secrets of Glen Devon

Great video, bud!! I will be in Scotland in two weeks and may try to hike this (and the Hidden Valley hike). One question. On the hike back down, I see that you did not go down the same way you came up, as per the 0:40 mark. I don't see this hike on my Alltrails app. Although you ended up leaving from the west face of the mountain, you had intended to leave from the east. Is the east departure route easy to follow? I may just leave the same way you did. Thank you in advance. Cheers.

Hi Christian, sounds like an exciting trip! There's a link to the route on OSMaps in the video description. You can download the GPX file of the route there as well and import into AllTrails if you need it. You can head either east or west down the mountain, though heading west is the more direct route back to the car if you park at the start location in the video description. There isn't a well defined path in either direction, but the western route I think is the easier one to follow. Hope that helps!
