try to delay that gratification for a few years to even decades if necessary. and use the money instead to build a nest egg of PASSIVE income and you'll be free to travel for years on end
Best tip: make an income while you travel. Last year spent 2 months traveling Europe and came back with more money than I left thanks to an IG business. If your income is remote you can travel full time rather than once or twice a year for a week. Cool seeing more cinematic content! Awesome video

Another tip to keep in mind this month. Last year, I wanted to go to Sweden but tickets were on average $900-$1300 round trip. HOWEVER, I pulled up ticket prices within a few days after Thanksgiving and prices were $300-$600. If you're planning a trip for early 2020, maybe take a look on the Monday/Tuesday after Thanksgiving and see if you get similar results!
true I got flight multi long hsul about half of what it cost this year but think from UK flights are up this last year due to air tax and lack of cheap airlines
In September my husband and I (we are in our early 60’s) spent 2 weeks traveling in Perú. We stayed at places called hostels; however all of these had some rooms with a private bathroom. We paid $30-$40/night, but the communal spots were $15-$20/night. We had wonderful conversations and met great people. Much more interesting than the vanilla-plain chain hotels!
One tip: just because a flight says 100$ round trip doesn’t mean that’s all it will cost. Many airlines charge expensive fees for carry-ons and bag checks. So the total could actually be an additional 200$ more even though the plane ticket was only a given amount. This was mentioned near the end of the video but I just wanted to clarify and explain a little. Hope this helps, keep it up ❤️👍

If you pay attention is 30 round trip plus it said around 30 for carry on, so is at least 60$ with a backpack now if you decide to carry luggage is like any other flights
I travel a lot with my family and everything said in this video is great advice but there are a few other things that should be said/emphasized: 1. Carry on luggage will sometimes have a weight limit but besides that, it is significantly cheaper and more convenient than checked luggage 2. Book flights (especially across seas) as early as possible not just a few weeks. A flight from California to Paris with a week notice can be close to $1000 whereas 5 months notice is about $400 3. If you're staying in a spot for a few days go to a store and buy oatmeal, ramen, ect. Like the vending machine in the video, it will be much cheaper than buying full cooked meals 4. Rather than load up on souvenirs, find a specific thing you want to collect on trips. Personally, I really love getting a small sticker to put on my suitcase. They're cheap and take up no space. 5. Understand the monetary conversion for the country you're going to. Many places that attract tourism can overcharge for a lot of things. By having a good understanding of the country's money in comparison to your country's money you can better judge if an item is worth the cost.
Three mothns ago I decided to become a networker and now I travel on cruises for free, I make my own schedule and get paid too. Is amazing! I wish I knew this before!
Try to look for a cheap gateway airport like Miami and nearby low cost airline airport a few miles away. When I was a young person I happily stayed in dorms at hostels. I used their kitchen and bought food from supermarkets. It is worth traveling with lightweight luggage. Try an open jaw flight and then travel overland using trains or buses. For Example Singapore overland Hanoi is excellent for that.
That Pod hotel looks pretty cool. Here is a pretty cool travel tip i learned from my high school math teacher. See if you can make arraignments with the place that you are staying at and have your luggage shipped there. Some shipping companies will have a round trip shipping option for one set shipping price back and fourth. It sometimes cost a few extra buck but it avoids the hassle of carrying luggage.
I stayed in a hostel in Paris ( Generator Paris) and Amsterdam ( Dirty Nellys). Great places, met amazing people in both places, and they were fairly cheap to stay in.
Good advice. I regularly travel with my wife and meet up with her sister who lives around the world in Korea. We usually book Airbnb's...and I enjoy cooking fun, simple meals with whatever local ingredients I find. It's another form of tourism that lets me explore supermarkets and farmers markets. We do go out for a certain number of meals, so we don't go overboard. But I'm actually a pretty great home cook so I find it easy to improvise. I was just in Portugal last month and made several amazing seafood meals from catch that was just off the coast of the most famous Marine National Forest--prawns the size of bananas, tuna steaks. They cost me maybe 50 bucks and I made 4-5 meals of them. In comparison, the fancy seafood meal in Lisbon that was a must-have-famous-place put on the map by Anthony Bourdain was a disappointment. And just for that meal, we paid 250 dollars. My advice is to always pay for the very best Airbnb you can afford in the very best, central neighborhood. Then, limit yourself to one super high end souvenir for yourself. Everybody else gets postcards or cheap local foods. And really think that you're going to save money by having fun in the kitchen!
Wow, Portugal sounds nice! So did that meal! 😁 On a side note, I love that you write comments as long as I do. My comments always feel like they’re only two lines...until I scroll up! 😁🙌

Nate, what do you think of this idea: Rent an Airbnb and stuff the fridge with local groceries. This way you can cook your own personal or family meals and prepare cheap sandwiches and snacks for day excursions. It's another way to save money during the trip. This could also make things easier for those with food constraints, such as people who follow a specific diet (vegan/kosher/low fat etc.) or who have food sensitivities or allergies. Obviously, this isn't for foodies or those who value the convenience of restaurants as part of their travel experience.

Thanks Nate! I know we might have been bugging you about making this video, but you had some great tips. I'll definitely be using some of these when I start traveling in 2020.
Great video! Another thing to consider is when to book your flights. I used Google Flights and got a round trip from the States to Amsterdam for $500 during the first week of January! I purchased my tickets in September; now that same week, a couple months later is at least double.
Great video! Japan looks great. Something I've learned when looking up/comparing flights is to do it in a private browser. Websites often track your search history and bump up flight prices!
You can become an on board courier! You get paid to travel! I traveled the whole world like that without paying a dime and I was getting paid to travel!

Food is usually the second biggest expense and a budget buster. A $2.50 delicious and filling meal sounds good. In Eastern cultures, if you make casual friends, you will definitely be invited to lunch, dinner or even a snack and a cup of coffee for sure.
I always spend less on travel per day than what I manage to earn in a day. Are you making these b-rolls or you've got them from somewhere? It looks amazing...
Are you still in Japan? 😮 I live here! Not in Tokyo, in Kobe actually! I recommend visiting Kansai 😍 cheaper than Tokyo, less crowded, and so many amazing places here 😍
1 personal item is included. So just pack a small duffel bag. Flown frontier several times and have never bought a carry on. Traveled to Vegas from east coast on weekends round trip for $40-60 when they run a sale on direct flights.
Great high-level tips :) Good for people who have never travelled before, otherwise it seems common knowledge for the ones who have. Can't wait to see the video on packing light. I'm planning on a solo-trip for 3-6months and as someone who adores their clothing, it's going to be difficult to pack just a few items haha. Can you include bag recommendations?
thank gawd...someone FINALLY who is not "travel hacking" with cc miles....something i just cannot do. gotta work on paying down the cards i DO have before i can get any benefit out of ones that offer miles.
The most expensive part of travel for me is the time I have to take off work and don't get paid for 🙃

I liked so much this video. I'm brazilian. I always watch your videos because of the content which is amazing! My dream is traveling around the world.
Congrats on 300k subs 🙏🏻
Thank you!
From this video: booked a flight to Malaga, spain, next month! So excited!
Let's goooo
I’ve always wanted to visit Spain! One day. How did the trip go?
Thanks Nate! I know we might have been bugging you about making this video, but you had some great tips. I'll definitely be using some of these when I start traveling in 2020.
Thanks for watching Laura, do some traveling when you have time off in the summer
Good thing that I traveled the world cheaply before I was 20. I'm glad to see this video, knowing how much travel experiences I gained so far.
You're doing a great job mate!!
Thanks Aman!
I love your new style of videos!!
Thanks John
this dude sounds like graham stephens younger brother.......
Projectsalvo184 not that he physically sounds like graham, although their both in similar categories
They are Friends
I see it
@@solozen2309 bruh, nate actually sounds like cinemasins in terms of enunciation
They are both frugal!
I couldn’t really get into your videos over the last year or so, but I’ve loved the recent ones! Keep it up man you’re helping me a lot!
Thanks Kevin!
HAHA HE SAID "YOU're PROBABLY GOING TO GET TO YOUR DESTINATION" LMAOOOO
Great video! Another thing to consider is when to book your flights. I used Google Flights and got a round trip from the States to Amsterdam for $500 during the first week of January! I purchased my tickets in September; now that same week, a couple months later is at least double.
McKay bought mine in September too, traveling to Hamburg on january got the ticket for $517
You could get a business hotel room in Tokyo for 40$ though.. 😉 instead of the pods.
Great video! Japan looks great. Something I've learned when looking up/comparing flights is to do it in a private browser. Websites often track your search history and bump up flight prices!
Hold on, Let me first boost the yt algorithm
Yes!! So happy you're experiencing Japan!!
It was wonderful!
You can become an on board courier! You get paid to travel! I traveled the whole world like that without paying a dime and I was getting paid to travel!
How?
James by googling ON BOARD COURIER (OBC) check the companies that appear on google and call them. First research the job to know what you are applying for.
James also check : Wings On Board
@@ellesam3348 Thanks for the information!
Now 16 march 2020 it costs 138 Swedish crowns (13$) ish to fly from Philadelphia to Las Vegas.
Cheap flights
Ryanair :: say no more
Dude your videos just keep getting better. Nice work.
Pod hotel review coming soon? 🤑
Also, have a passive income type. Try to make money without having to work.
I seriously wanna start traveling the world, I’m only getting older
"how to travel the world for cheap in 2020"... Sad. 😢 Although I'm trying to make the most out of being stuck indoors, found your channel by looking up stocks 101 and I feel more confident now about investing. So thanks!
dog I'm 18 and just wanna get out and experience the world and different cultures

Nate your videos are just the best honestly I aspire to be like you
Love this video keep inspiring Great tips want to implement some of the things into my channel
Thanks!!
One of the best videos ever.
Are you still in Japan? 😮 I live here! Not in Tokyo, in Kobe actually!
I recommend visiting Kansai 😍 cheaper than Tokyo, less crowded, and so many amazing places here 😍
Yaas! Best times in the hostels, and in Osaka and Kyoto every day is....
Another very informative Video !! You do an awesome job Nate !!!!
Thanks Rob!
The $15 doesn't allow you to bring carry on bags without charges
You can take a backpack though. For couple days stay its enough.
No you cant, you have to pay for board luggage aswell
1 personal item is included. So just pack a small duffel bag. Flown frontier several times and have never bought a carry on. Traveled to Vegas from east coast on weekends round trip for $40-60 when they run a sale on direct flights.
You the best Nate. Always enjoy all your videos, thanks for posting.
Thank you William!
How did it go?
thank gawd...someone FINALLY who is not "travel hacking" with cc miles....something i just cannot do. gotta work on paying down the cards i DO have before i can get any benefit out of ones that offer miles.
that's literally my dream life, travel the world for cheap
It's possible! I didn't leave my country for the first time until this year
