I think your "gut feeling" point makes more sense than you give it credit for. Sometimes you can just see a piece and it just screams you. I think the problem arises when people see a piece that their favourite influencer/celebrity wore and fall in love with it because it looks good on that person. I think It's important to differenciate between these two types of feelings to avoid overspending or investing in trendy pieces you'll soon regret. (I'm still working on this myself)
Thank you! I’m glad it made sense haha and it sometimes really does scream at you and it’s not always for a particular clear reason. And I’m sure there’s always an external influence but you just know in your core that it’s the one.
And your point about differentiating the two feelings is such a concise way of putting it and it’s exactly the point I was trying to make in some parts of the video. I think it’s important to always take a step back in think in context of you and your style and your wardrobe.
Same with me! It’s just gonna be an on going thing to always check myself but I think over time it’ll get easier. I think the important part is being aware of it and not blindly following trends/people. And I think that’s where a lot of disappointments comes from.
listened to it while working out. honestly, there's no better feeling than getting a piece you truly will love and cherish. honestly, I remember getting my first designer item and feeling ecstatic about it. my love for clothes stems from not having a lot of them as kid & feel embarrassed. fashion is absolutely how you present and carry yourself. everyone should feel that joy!
It really is the best feeling. It goes beyond the realm of material possession and consumerism when you’re that in love with a piece and cherish it. I think it’s a feeling only a fashion fanatic would understand but it’s a feeling that I personally want to share. I have so much fun with it and that’s what I try to capture on the channel.

Yeah you have a point! In my head it’s more of a mindset to catch myself if I’m being swayed by the popularity or a person. If I end up getting it, it doesn’t really matter as you said but it’s a part of my thinking to catch myself. Idk if that makes sense haha
