    Hi Gary,
    do you have any idea how to export a playlist as one mp3 file using MUSIC on Big Sur ?
    it was easy with iTunes, but I can't find a function within MUSIC anymore.
    Any Alternatives recommended?
    I'd love to have a playlist, gentle fading from one title to another and the ability to export this playlist, either in loop or rand0m play, as one single mp3 file
    best regards

    Another way to get a song list fast. Do this: choose Songs, √ View, √ Show Filter Field, Enter any words you like. (Upper/Right corner) Enter. You will get a list of all songs that have your word/s ... like "Midnight".

    • @macmost

      The playlist IS a list of song titles. Or, do you mean find the location of a song in a playlist? I don't think there is a way to search for a song's position in a playlist. But if you type a key it will jump to the first song that has an artist starting with that letter.

    The thing I hate the most about using Music on Windows/Mac is that I can't drag and drop music into my playlists whilst in the 'For You' or 'Browse'. This makes navigating the UI extremely tedious and frustrating because when you hit those tabs, the left sidebar disappears. I have to right-click every track or album to then add to a playlist. Not to mention, adding songs to playlists is very laggy and slow despite having fast internet connection. Spotify has never had this issue, very fast and I can actaully drag Music to playlists without needing to add to library first.

    This is alI very well if you have a present library of a few hundred songs,there are a lot of people like me who have over a hundred thousand songs and playlists with possibly 1000 sons or more of mixed artists and you have possibly 40-50 of them then this system is a long tiresome job and is the reason why I will no longer update my OS system.These tips are for the new breed of Apple users and novices.I have been collecting music on my various iTunes libraries since the beginning of iTunes.I had on my older iPad around 29,000 tracks from my iTunes library and updated on my new IPad Pro 2020 and lost all my playlists.I had to redo all my playlists from a much smaller amount of tracks compared to my iMac library on the old iTunes and that took me weeks to do.I would not want to do that for my full library for the sake of having a few mor funny faces and a OS that’s like a mobile OS.If there was a way of transferring my iPad playlists back to the new music app that at least be a start.I’m not impressed with the way Apple is going and is really stopping me buying a newer IMac although my current one is the highest spec 5K iMac.I realise that Apple are more interested in selling you a subscription to Apple Music.I wonder why people bother as there are so many streaming free music apps.

      Sorry, I don't know what you are experiencing there. Keep trying things or call Apple Support and work with them to figure out what could be going wrong.

    How to change playlists order ? Trying to drag it, but it can't

    • @macmost
      @macmost  2 роки тому

      Dragging is how you do it. Click and hold one song in the playlist, then wait a second, then drag it down under a different song.

      @@macmost No no, i mean Playlists order, not songs. For example, i created several playlists: Work mus, Run Mus, Sleep Mus and so on. And i want to change it’s order, upper or down. I can’t do it, it seems that i should only change the name of the Playlists to change it’s order. May be there are some tricks?

    • @macmost
      @macmost  2 роки тому

      @@TipaFilosoph If you click on All Playlists, then you can sort the playlists in there using View, Sort By. But you can't sort them in the sidebar of that is what you mean. They are just alphabetical. You can't set a manual order or anything. You could always chose names with numbers or letters to force an order.

And i have some discomfort with Music app. I created playlist, sorted as Songs, and songs displayed only half of screen, upper half showed the album's picture. It's really discomfortly. Do you know how to hide the upper section? I mean where it's showing name of the playlist and albums song pictures? Pls help

      Hard for me to tell. Are you using Apple Music? iTunes Match? Are you sure all of the songs are actually there -- can you play them?

      If you are using Apple Music then it is automatic. If not, you have to sync from your Mac to your iPhone the old fashioned way. ua-cam.com/video/sm7r0pwP8Cw/v-deo.html
