My favorite thing about this guy is not even his music or talent. Is that a young man from a little town in Wales worked hard and struggled, went through 10+ years of physical suffering, and is now very literally changing the way people think and talk on a worldwide scale. He let no excuses get in the way. Is full of common sense and helps others are see it in a very digestible way.

Yes I believe that's exactly what he's doing is taking music from the past that he's written for Joe and mixed it all in to create the song called For Joe and yes it's so beautifully done it's definitely a masterpiece in my opinion.

Ren breaks our hearts so skillfully. The city in the background is Calgary in Canada where he is receiving treatment for Lyme disease. Ren's friend, Joe, jumped from a bridge between Anglesey and the mainland of North Wales. He returned there last week to give a cheque for £21,000 to the Lifeboat Service who searched for Joe's body and then gave Joe's family £8,0000 which they have put towards a trailer they were saving for to use for traveling around the UK. That was the first time he had been back to the scene of the suicide for 12 years. I'm looking forward to the next random surprise from you.

@@FonWin In order to fill a closed heart it needs to first be broken open. The horrors of the world close us down. In my view, Ren ruthlessly breaks hearts with his own pain. Joe's suicide broke Ren's heart. Ultimately, love fills hearts and we can be full of love for Ren while acknowledging the hurt.

This song literally broke me 5 years ago my best friend Matt took his own life I miss him like crazy ever since that I feel like a piece of me is missing he was my best friend since 1st grade he was like a brother to me

Joe passed in Menai Bridge, Anglesey, North Wales, where Ren and myself are from. This backdrop is Calgary, Canada, where Ren is undergoing treatment for the damage caused by his undiagnosed Lyme's disease.
Someone will bring me up to speed if I'm wrong, but, I believe this was prepared as a presentation for Joe's Mam n Dad when he met them on his return To Anglesey to present them with some of the proceeds of his album Freckled Angels and to present a cheque for £21,000 to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) The voluntary search and rescue organisation that did so much on the night in question and following days to help out when Joe passed.

“Freckled angels “ was the first song he wrote about Joe as the first thing he remembered about meeting him was a lad doing a front flip onto a sofa and Joe shouting “Swanton bomb” as he was a big “Hardy brothers “ WWE fan. He did it again and again this joyful boy covered in freckles. You might notice he references“Swantom bomb” and “Hardy brothers” in a couple of his songs. He always seems to sneak in a lot of references to previous songs he has done before. Like “she sells sea shells on the sea shore” in “Hi Ren” is from “Money game” part two. There is such a diverse catalog to pick from and he never seems to disappoint. Again thanks for the heartfelt reaction ❤.

Thank you for another genuine reaction. Ren’s song "Su!cIde" gutted me, and I was not able to watch or listen to it again until now. I have not even been able to watch a single reaction to it. It was a sad, haunting, gut-wrenching tribute. My best friend took his life 38 years ago. However, after listening to "To Joe" several times, I came to the realization that as sad and emotional as this song is, it has had a healing effect on me and has given me a sense of closure. Even the lyrics of the epilogue from "Su!cIde" that "gutted" me impacted me differently this time around.
Anthony Ray (@AnthonyRay) said after reacting to this performance (I am paraphrasing) that he felt that after all these years, Ren seems to have found a measure of acceptance regarding the loss of his best friend. Anthony's comment suddenly made me aware of the song's impact on me, and I am actually able to watch or listen to "Su!cIde" again. Although I will probably not watch any reactions to it, as I consider this song to be much too personal, and watching someone else's grief would only compound my pain.
Thomas Goldschmidt (@thomasgoldschmidt298) remarked, "For Joe" is a continuation of "Su!cIde," displaying the five stages of grief, adding acceptance to the end of his last song…..This song and the sobbing hug he received from Joe's mom after showing the video bring closure to all involved!
I think ending "To Joe" with lines from "Freckles Angels" left me with a more optimistic outlook. It is as if Ren is trying to tell us that even though some of our loved ones are physically gone from our life, their memory continues to live in and through us. I think that is why I got a sense of closure and peace.

One more thing.. One reaction channel in the chat someone said that Ren has broken the age barrier. The guy said he was 82 then everyone else started posting their age. I am 64 and I was surprised how many 60 plus people posted in the chat. And how many between 12 - 15 posted. Ren sure is special. Thank you again for taking your time to share

If you watch the Knox interview Ren intellectually and logically knows there wasn’t anything he could have done that night but emotionally is another thing… the empty cup.
But notice there is a bottle of light (lights) to fill the empty cup.
The previous produced video was dark and filled with pain and frustration. This starts with that pain but continues with what Joe and all his actions has taught and given Ren. That bottle of light to fill the empty cup. Not only a crafted masterpiece but preformed extremely well with the help from Sam.

I just can't imagine how Ren felt at 3am when he got that call from his friend who said she had received a call from Joe on the Menai Bridge and he was about to jump. Getting dressed and running to the bridge 10 mins away, calling him on his phone and living in hope thinking If he's still on the phone, as its engaged so I'll get there in time. Then the phone going dead just as he approached the bridge, heart-breaking.

As I understood it he did not perform it in front of them, but he did show them this recording, which at the time was not yet released. I might be wrong though.

There's a blog post on his channel that describes what happened to Joe and is worth reading for context. This song was a mashup of three of his songs. His piano skills are amazingly good, another skill I now want to hear more of from him. The city here is not his home town. It's Calgary, Canada, where he's been staying to recieve experimental stem cell treatments to try and repair some of the damage the undiagnosed lyme disease caused him. He's currently back in the UK but will be returning to Calgary soon to carry on the treatment.
