Sick that you showed my dropper post hack, im Olek. I left the shifter on the bars because i made the cable the same lenght as the brake hose and put them together with shrink wrap and it works great.
Have ridden bicycles most of my 71 years, and now, even though I'd really like to "shred" downhill trails and what not I'm too old to risk injury doing it. I no longer do road bikes, as the "aero" crouch into the drops is too painful to do for more than an hour or so. I now ride a full squish, a hard tail, a crank forward semi-recumbent, and a SWB recumbent. I ride for the joy and stress relief, as well as the aerobic workout my bikes give me. Don't care so much anymore about absolute speed, just the workout to exercise the heart. Suspended bikes and recumbent bikes allow me to do that in relative comfort.
Interested to hear you're both into RC as well as bikes. They're two of my main hobbies too, and there is another big MTB channel who also has a sister RC channel. I'm about the same age as you guys and a lot of the RC stuff from our youth is being re-released, which gets expensive!

Started riding around the neighborhood at 5. Rode to school during Elementary. Started riding all over town by 8. Not many cars on the roads 50 years ago! Became a Roadie in the 80’s. Then made a XC trail 20 years ago to get away from the traffic. Now I’m trying to become a Mountain Biker!!! Been obsessed with bikes for 55 years! Love them! I have a Litespeed Titanium Road Bike and several Treks. My Quiver is full!!!
I've been obsessed with bicycles since I was a kid. A curious fact, that during college, I had to sell my FOCUS 29, running out of bike to ride. Because of this, I started to hide from everything that had to do with cycling, as I was so obsessed that seeing things about mtb made me feel discouraged. Until about 2 years ago I came back to follow. Now I have a custom sloopstyle that I'm renovating to at least get back to riding.
Dude, holy crap, that's like me right now. My bike's been broken for a few months now, and I absolutely dreaded watching and seeing mountain bike things, and I even had a chance to attend the whistler crankworx which I didn't. But since I gathered enough money to get my Scott Ransom back up and running (bike's gonna be fixed around the 15th?), I'm fine seeing these stuff now. I wonder if it's a psychological thing humans experience in order to cope for loss of things.
Can't believe it! I'm an RC enthusiast too. Had my first hobby grade Tamiya Stadium Blitzer in 1992 the same year I got my first mtb. It was fully rigid and they both cost around 250aud so about 20 pounds.
I would've given the last bike a super nice cuz it looks so unique. And i love the raw alu banshee frames, the enigma is like my top pick together with the RSD middlechild
I seem to obsess over a hobby and switch hobbies every 5-7 years. In my early 20's it was video games, then car modding and racing, then disc golf, now mtb and back to cars.
Great show guys the title of the show is right up my street when I go street riding with my friends we all have very unhealthy obsessions at least 3 packs of sweets and 3 cans of Monster each plus we like to swap cans and packet of sweets. depends on what flavor and cans each of us has got nice to a DH bike in the BV

The single biggest thing about bikes that keeps you obsessed is keeping you young. Fitness Friends banter going out to play . Makes you feel 14 to 16 again that’s all the drug you need. .
