Exactly. If I tell my wife to go get a box 150 feet away statistics say it will take her 30 seconds to get to that box pick it up and return back in 30 sec.
If I was going to kill my wife it can't be at any time in that 1.5 hours. It has to be less then 30 sec from when she left to get the box.
So the question I would ask Tod's son is did you see your dad the first 2 min after your mother left. Because if he did then there is no way Tod could have done it because 2 min is way more then enough time for Amy to get to the pet carrier, pick it up and bring it back.
This is very time specific because my wife is going to get to that box in 30 sec and I have to get to her before she gets to the box. Now way!
      It doesn't work

    • @stevenhenderson9005

@@gumsnbums8686 To walk 100 feet statistically takes 20 sec. The distances Amy has to walk is about 200 ft. to get to the pet carrier and that will take 40 seconds. To commit this crime you would have to get to Amy in less then 40 sec after she leaves the hog barn without your son seeing you.
He didn't get to use anytime in that 1.5 hours to commit the crime. He would only have less then 40 seconds from the time she left the hog barn to commit the crime. Otherwise she would have got to the carrier and got it down, and even brought it back in less then 2 min from when she left and that carrier isn't even touched.
Heaven forbid anyone reenact the crime and look at the timeline. Tod would have had to get to his wife in almost 20 seconds to catch up to her before she got to the carrier and he would have to do it without his son seeking him. Impossible!

The thing that worries me most is that they didn’t do the DNA testing of Amy’s fingernail clippings. It could have ruled Todd out, found another person’s DNA or helped to convict him. Try putting yourself in her shoes..its called empathy. You're stuck in a relationship where you feel like it's dangerous to leave. You're not happy and he's at least controlling, if not abusive. You're scared, lonely and have no connection with this man. He's restricting your finances so you have no way to support yourself and kids right when you leave. Maybe you just need to feel loved by someone else to gain the self esteem and confidence you need to walk out that door. Or maybe she was hoping this new man would save her. Millions of women, including myself, are stuck in similar situations like this every day. I wouldn't cheat, but I can definitely see why she did. Please don't look down on the women in these situations and instead look down on the men that treat women like this.

Why would she leave her livelihood at the hospital. I believe he was jealous controlling and in trust worthy and needed her in his eye sight at all times. He had an approved friend list for her and went crazy when she was with her sick uncle at the hospital probably thinking she's cheating. The only emotion I see out of this man is when he speaks about his farm he lights up it's the only thing he cares about. He reminds me of my dad. When my mom goes to see her mother says her sister and mom is gonna introduce her to other men because they don't like him. Narcissistic behaviour

Many many ways to get onto farms. If Amy was so scared of him, why did she continue the serial cheating? I am not sure I buy her fears of him. The biggest thing that gives me second thoughts - many do not testify even if they're innocent and for 2 people to stay on track with a story is generally not likely and a dangerous path to take even if you're innocent. One will trip up somewhere in probably most cases or simply recall a small piece differently. If he is guilty, he and his son who is just a kid, did exceptionally well. Thats almost impossible no matter if you rehearsed it unless you're career actors. Ive been in situations where there were fine details and more than one person recalling the event. Discrepancies surface. I dislike circumstancial evidence when more could have be done via investig to get something more concrete in evid. Its not the jurys job to sort out what the POL didn't... and could have.

Its a hog barn. Theres water close by. 1 or 2 minutes. I thought it was nonsense trying to pin down time without knowing where he went to get the drink and how far was it from his work area. 1. It's a long way from the hog barn to the red shed - commit murder- AND BACK while the son gets a drink of water.
    2. We don't know how long from the time she left the hog barn until son got his first drink - and was out of sight of Todd.
    3. It might take 5-6 minutes (or less) for Amy to walk to the red shed; because she never made it to the pet carrier, it makes sense that she discovered someone (a transient sleeping & trying not to freeze outside?) already in the shed, was beaten, made her way toward the door, and the person grabbed the rake & stopped her.
    4. In order for Todd to have done this, he would've had to beat Amy to the red shed, beat & stab her, BEFORE she could have made it to the pet carrier; because she never made it that far. Trysten testified they continued working when Amy left. So he didn't immediately get a drink & Todd was in hog barn with him.
    5. Todd is a responsible businessman who, if he were a murderer, would've killed Amy while they were alone & fed her to the hogs. He wouldn't use a corn rake & send his son to find the body. Common sense, indeed. No way.
    6. A fatal flaw of everybody involved in this case is that they ALL say, definitively, that only the family was on the property at the time Amy died. Since the property was not under video surveillance 365/24/7, there is zero evidence to corroborate that at all.
    7. Todd is not the only person with motive either. Amy got around & had enemies. Bet on that.
    8. This looks like The Shawshank Redemption in real time.

Vanna Kegley that is where the defense made a mistake. Why agree that it was murder based on one expert’s testimony and findings? Why not hire your own expert, ask other experts on the stand for their analysis. The defense could have went with this being an accident and poke holes in the very weak prosecution’s evidence but chose not too. And even still, I find reasonable doubt, even though the defense did not present well. I am not saying Todd is innocent, but he was not proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt and the defense lost this due to negligence on their part.

Could Amy have fallen twice on the fork ? And got it out herself first time but fell back on it ? Her husband looks like a good guy who always looked for solutions and talk things out !

Defense Attorney does not seem too passionate in his closing argument. He says everything with the sound of paper's being shuffled, like when you are in high school doing your first big speech in front of the class. He says everything so monotone and without any sense of urgency or fighting for this man's life. I think he knew it was a lost cause so he threw some thoughts together but wow did he miss the boat.

The defence should not have ruled out the accident theory because it is not beyond the realm of possibility that Amy fell on the fork more than once.

I agree & Todd looked sick to his stomach at that moment his attorney said that it wasn’t an accident ... I feel it was an accident more than he’s guilty .. the searches have me puzzled ..
What’s your opinion on that ?
I truly don’t see guilt though exhaustion from life..
