- Go 'Beneath the Surface' in Bermuda as we investigate how freshwater scarcity, climate change, and food security have become huge watchwords for the future of this tiny island 650 miles off the USA's eastern seaboard.
The original survivalists, Bermuda has harnessed the power of nature for centuries but in the face of climate change, can this sub-tropical paradise ensure it can feed and water it's inhabitants?
We speak with the farmers supplying the island, and how they're embracing new technologies to ensure Bermuda's food production survives and flourishes against a background of agricultural change.
Thanks for watching!

Hola amigo
Dr. Elaine Ingham can help teach us (in Bermuda) how to remediate our soils through her Life in the Soil/Soil Food Web instruction, including using good compost: "Widely recognized as the world's foremost soil biologist, she's passionate about empowering ordinary people to bring the soils in their community back to life. Dr. Elaine's™ Soil Food Web Approach has been used to successfully restore the ecological functions of soils on six continents."
My view is that a major global process is being ignored. Contributing to Global Warming all over is the loss of the earth's natural insulation. Eg. Remove your overcoat and you lose body heat. The continous removal of OIL from the earth is releasing heat from the earth's core to the surface. Hence a warming effect the world over. This may be more obvious in the drilling field areas. Is this a factor in the record water temps in the Gulf of Mexico ??
This aspect needs to be explored in depth regardless of any push back by the oil producing industry.
Merci, i will keep an eye out for any reaction to this idea.
What a load of CRoc !! This Government ognors tĥe esteblishes farmers.
