Why is the ex so interested?
I think he should get his kids to talk to their mom about how excited they are about their new sibling because she kept insisting that the new kid will affect her kids. If she still have a problem with that baby then yeah.
Haha who cares what the ex thinks?!?
She wants to be the only baby mama so she can have something over the new wife. She knows damn well if she got married and decided to have another child she wouldn't run it by her ex-husband first. That's ridiculous. Like, sure, it will affect the kids, but they are THEIR kids, not just her kids. Does she think she would have some sort of say in it if he ran it by her first and she didn't want it to happen? That's kind of what it's sounding like here. The kids are happy anyway so what's the problem?
Nta it got nothing to do with her
I mean, I kinda get it. She would've liked to know what was going on so everyone could be on the same page right away. A new baby does change everything after all. But I also wouldn't call OOP an asshole for not immediately sharing this? No one's really the asshole here imo. They should've just communicated better
Tell her to grow the ef up
Yes
NTA, your body is your body, nobody has to know about what you do to it. Your Ex-Wife is just entitled.
You people are hilarious thinking she has any right to any information that doesn't concern her.
Yes, it's your body. But she and her children are impacted by the decision; it changes the whole family dynamics. I think it would have been nicer to tell her (at least once "it worked"); that's why you worried about her finding out through someone else.
This argument only works if you are the type of person who believes abortions should be illegal without the fathers concent. Pro tip they should unless the sex was non consetual
It wasn't her business at all until you were expecting a new baby and the children you share would be impacted. Then it was, and she should have heard it from you. NTA for not sharing you got it reversed, YTA for letting her hear from the kids instead of giving her a heads up and some time to process it.
He didn't let her hear it from the kids he literally said he wanted to tell her and the son beat him to the punch. Sure, he could have told her first but then how does he know she wouldn't have gone and told the kids when he wanted to?
@@troubleinthevalley5884Sounds like they have a reasonable relationship and he could have let her know he was doing her the courtesy of telling her first, and asked her to keep it to herself til he told them. He did indeed let her hear it from the kids as that's exactly how it went down. Def an ah move.
@@granitemoss1451 yeah I'm just saying he said the exact same thing to the kids and they spilled it anyways so there's always the chance that she would have spilled it too
Why is the ex so interested?
I think I’m the original Reddit post part of the reason they got divorced was fertility issues surrounding the vasectomy. I could be wrong though.
