Fallout 4 - Unlimited Resources Duplication Glitch! (After Patch 1.7/1.10)

- Quick and easy method on duplicating your resources. Every time you successfully perform this glitch you get double in return. (1 - 2 - 4 - 8 - 16 - 32 - 64 - 128 - 256 - 512 - 1,024 - 2,048 - 4,096 - 8,192 - 16,384 - 32,768 That's only 16 times!) Have fun!
The □ button triggers the command when you release the button. So hold the □ button down with your index finger and then as you release it, quickly press o with your middle finger and keep it pressed - This can't be done with just your thumb unless you're REALLY quick!
It's all about timing on the buttons, if you get it right, two overlapping windows will appear, giving you the option to store and scrap the one item, thus duplicating it in your workbench. When both windows are shown on top of each other, hit X twice to scrap and store the item.
Next time you look in your Workbench, you'll see two of the same item with an quantity eg. (50). Take them out and throw them on the ground and pick them up again - This will combine them eg (100). So next duplication, you only have to do the button trick once to duplicate it again.
*If you do the duplication with a Skull for example, you will keep the skull and gain "Bone (6)" each time.
This duplication also reduces the build limit of your settlement, so if you've reached your building limit, the more duplications you do, the more you'll be able to build your settlement - Which may cause problems, but I've not had nor heard of any so far.

another note, do this on a flat surface that isn't built on, if you have a wood floor you built for example, it's not going to work. 30 minutes of trying it, I finally figured it out. thank you
Thank you! Worked perfect today, Sept. 22, 2016 on the PS4. I personally found it easier to simply go into build mode after dumping the items and:
press and hold square...quickly slide directly to the circle button but do NOT let go of the circle button...then when the double window pops up for scrap/storage, simply use your other hand to double tap the X button. Took me a few tries...but after that, I did 99% of the time, first try. Made 60-80K of all the major components/junk in less than an hour.
This glitch is very similar to the massive robot build glitch. I earned up to level 33 by playing side quests and building settlements...then used the very cool robot build glitch and (while it will take several hours) I went from level 33 to my character now is level 290 and I am barely into the game, having over 2000 HP and every perk. I will be honest...the game seems too easy now...I will try the harder levels but, It took no HP from me to recover the X01 Mk3 power armor at 35 Court...and then because of all the perks, quickly upgraded it to X01 MkVI power armor.
Both of these glitches are great and BOTH still work as of this posting of mine. I used then both today. Good luck!

DUNKIN DOGGNUTS Thank you. Your video saved me tons of caps and tons of time. I mean, I can now build the settlements and defenses I really wanted but taking forever because of saving caps by producing tons of water...which works, but just takes longer.
On a side note, what I did after I duplicated about 16-18 of the major resources (first, I have some perk that lets me walk regular speed when overloaded and also fast travel), I took ALL the duplicated resources to site to another settlement with NO supply line and duplicated them from there and put them in another container so I have backups of all my supplies. I plan to do it in a few locations...well, duplicate them in one location and when I hit around 60K mark, I put another batch in a fresh container...then just pop from place to place leaving stockpiles! :-)
By the way, if you didn't know it, I tried the duplicate/scrap glitch we've been talking about on a weapon...and it worked perfectly. Gave me the scrap from the weapons and a copy of the intact weapon itself. I don't know if it matters once we have tons of resources...but, just and FYI, it works on weapons too.

DUNKIN DOGGNUTS Haha...not finger friendly indeed! I only did it twice...so, that's like 150K total of materials...I am not sure how I would ever use that much anyhow...especially if they ever patch that thing where you can reduce your build size by dropping items from your inventory and storing them again. It's crazy...all they need to do is release the mods for the PS4 and save us all this time! :-)

Thank the Lord!!! All of my settlement woes have vanished. Now I can build up my settlements as I come to them instead of waiting until mid game to build them up
Confirmed still working as of patch 1.10 on PS4. Good thing too since Sony decided to be too old to care about what their gamers want. Hopefully Bethesda will stop patching resourses glitches now, or even make them a little easier to do lol.

Hmmm, so just to nit pick at the details, you slide your thumb over the X, then A, then B in a fast swipe? I've tried pushing them all at the same time n it didn't work, gonna try the other way soon.
Yes. The best way I can describe is to roll your thumb over those buttons really fast. Not at the same time.
Confirmed it works just make sure to hold circle after sliding and hold circle and press X (8/11/16)

Yeah, watch my video on how to duplicate any item. This method in my opinion may not be worth it though because it may take more time than it's worth. In that case, watch my video on how to apply gun mods on any gun.

There's not much I can do to help but tell you to keep trying or watch the video again. I'm not sure what platform you're on but I can confirm this works no problem on Xbox one.

Yes. 1.7 is the current patch right now, this is working as of today.

You know what, I'm not sure. I don't see why not. I think if you store shipments it still considered a shipment, but when you scrap it, it then becomes that material. Note that if this does work that you will only be getting 250 at a time and could easily scrap the shipment and not not store when performing the glitch.
