We play absolute radio all day throughout my 12 hr shift in work n it's just out of earshot but I kept hearing this "Dear God" song over the past four days and nearly got whiplash when I first heard it as my head spun around. No one knew who it was by which annoyed me. Thankfully I knew what time it was on n finally found it on the Absolute Radio set list. Thanks for that as I ABSOLUTELY love their new tune 😊
I like this song, I really rate Biffy Clyro I find them refreshingly different to other modern music. In sure plenty disagree but they have been round for 25 years for a good reason :)
i really like much of these guys work. the thing just is that i am into rock and metal for a reason, and that reason is instrumentals sounding like real guitars, drum and bass. everybody talks about that change for a band is okay and necessary, but most songs that have poppy instrumentals on them are simply not as emotional to me. i need heavy sounding riffs and drums, even if its a slower song with emotional lyrics. i would really like to give this album a chance, but i guess the way the instruments sound will be like this on the whole record.
I think the new song is boring. It's the same formula: Simon sings the verses, the twins sing the first line of the chorus, then Si sings the second line. Rinse, repeat. The only difference is that instead of interesting guitar lines, they've included boring synth sounds.
