I'm here because of the book 'Rachel's Tears', about the 17 year old Christian girl who died in the Columbine shooting, Rachel Joy Scott. In one of the last chapters of the book, Rachel's older sister tells a story about how her and Rachel would drive to their weekly youth groups listening to this band blasting through the speakers... Had to check them out. Never knew Christian ska/punk even existed.. Praise Jesus! Sounds pretty cool.
In my earlies years as a graphic designer and advertising, I was in an Advertising Agency and one of my mentors played the drums in their own christian ska band. So he introduced me "this awesome band" (as he said): FIF... big fan since 2005, guys
Reese gave my kid his real autograph! Talk about a miracle. Jesus feeding the 5,000 was obvy better, but this was definitely awesome. 😆 Praise God for FIF! All glory to Jesus!
Dude! I’d be ok with it. I’ve shot a video with my old band a long time ago. I know what you mean. I counted 27 times we had to do it. But hearing this song would be worth it. Every new day and world without end were always my fav’s, but ever since I heard this song, it quickly took first place as my favorite fif song. So good.
i honestly thought ska was dead, and i was so sick of mainstream christian music... and then i hear this... EXCELLENT. as pumped up as NOFX but glorifies Christ!! i want to make these guys uber famous far beyond what theyve experienced before. spread the word peeps
@Joey Tech Talks No need to apologize for the truth. That's what gives the religious a bad name @intensions. Not knowing the truth about something but claiming you do.
Hullo from May 2020. Re-found you at nearly 35 years old and, I've found connection and encouragement from your praise and worship during this Big. Huge. Lonely. Mess. I've run neither hot nor cold for far too long. Your music warms my blood, and is teaching me how to pray again. Thank you
i used to play your cds on constant repeat as a kid.... this is song is no different. Also, Reese never gave out autographs and I was tempted to write him a check so he'd endorse it and and I'd have a autograph
I saw them in Portland a while ago... they were hanging with the crowd afterwards so I went to have them sign the vinyl I had just bought. Handed it to Reese, knowing that I was going to get something out of the ordinary. He wrote, "Justin Bieber is my lover! XOXO". I was laughing the entire time he was writing. I had friends ask if I was going to still frame it... "heck yes!"
Nothing cracks me up more than this one pic of this guy standing with a blank face next to smiling Reese with a vintage five iron shirt signed “Justin Bieber” by Reese XD
You lift my soul you.. KEEP MY HEART FROM SINKING!! This has been a favorite since it came out but lately it’s been a constant on my drives to work.. - a musician who became an ironworker too.
Nobody rocks for Christ in unbridled freedom like Five Iron! God bless you guys, and rock on The Rock! (Also, thanks for giving my young son your real autograph, Reese. Not that you’ll ever read this, so I’ll find another way to thank you. Your genuine service to the Lord is epic!)

Its been a long long time since I've been away, (from Denver) been a long long time since I felt this way... like looking into the things I loved that would bring me hope and happiness when I was young. Thanks!!!! Your music does that! Love & Light!!!
These guys are undeniably talented AF. Used to listen to them all the time when I was a kid, and while Ska is deff not my thing anymore, here I am giving it a listen and enjoying.

Sorry for the late reply. Keith went on to do a band with his wife. Scott, our "new bass player" was originally on guitar in the original lineup. When Scott left after the first 4 years we replaced his position with Sonnie on Guitar. Then when we reassembled after our 8 year hiatus Keith moved on and Scott jumped in to that role. Hope that helps.

Amen they are annointed. I found them when I was in High school, feeling very much the same way about Christian music. I keep praying for them.
This type of comment is what gives non-religious people a bad name. Youre just trying to start an argument for no reason.

Might I suggest looking up the old BEC and Tooth and Nail record labels? Tons of great ska, punk and electronic music.
Ska shall never die so long as any one of us listens to it!
I'm loving the "trombone cam...." FIF for the win!
These guys are amazing live... so incredibly awesome.
